Chapter 28: Tutor fast

It was time for breakfast on Monday and because of visiting day the gang didn't want to eat saying that their still full. Phhh my tummy never gives up on breakfast. So I went alone while the rest went to class.

I went in and saw Caleb alone on our table eating an omelet and I joined him.

"Morning" I greeted sitting next to him as usual.

"Hey...you look nice" he greeted with a compliment.

"Thanks. So what's up" I asked

"Nothing much...thinking about how to prep for CAT" he sad.

"True, when is the timetable coming out" I asked.

"Today o and it starts on Wednesday and ends on Friday" he said and I chocked a little on my bread.

"Eh! I hope its not bloody" I asked.

"Not really for you tho but English might be" he said.

"Nawa" I deadpanned.

"Oya leave leave leave, time for morning assembly" the teacher on duty said.

"Eat fast let's go" caleb said.

"Don't rush me" I glared and he put his hands up in surrender.

Assembly was about to start with Caleb and Nat by my sides, we did the pre-assembly routines and sat down.

"Good morning students" Mrs ki..em I mean Royalty greeted.

"Good morning Mrs king" we greeted back.

"We had a successful PTA and visiting day yesterday and I hope we all enjoyed ourselves" she said and we all smiled to ourselves.

"But now we need to put our study caps on and prep for CAT this Wednesday and soon exam" she said.

"After this Assembly the timetable will be shared to you all and then you may be dismissed... Have a wonderful time kids" she concluded and left.

We all waited anxiously as teachers shared the tables row by row.

"I wonder how they arranged it this time" fay said.

"Swear" Nay said . and they finally reached our row and gave each of us a timetable.

"Physics and biology on the same day" fay exclaimed in horror.

"Eww D.P" nay said cringing.

"Government and CRS 3rd and 4th period...its over" Nat said.

"Yay math first period" Caleb celebrated. Bitch cause your a genius in maths. And it was now my turn.

Once the square sheet hit my palms consisting on 5 periods a day for all classes and I laid my eyes on the 2nd period on the first day for sophomores ,I could feel my face draining colour.

"English 2nd period on Wednesday...what kind of fucked up timetable is this" I said and looked at it longer as if my stare could change it.

"Its ok..it won't be that bad" Caleb said placing a hand on my shoulder reassuring me and I gulped and stood up following them to class.

It was now snacks break and I've been ranting about English since.

"You guys what *bite* I'm I *bite* gonna do" I whined eating my pure bliss.

"Shut up naa...your smart as fuck you'll still pass" Nat said tired of my whining.

"Yeah but I heard the English is bloody...and I'm not that great in it either" I said.

"If it makes you feel better none of us really are" Nay reassured.

"Cheer up dimple...you'll get used to it" Caleb said patting my back and trying not to laugh. Bitch.

"No! I need a tutor" I said.

"Who the fuck will do that" henry asked then favour squealed.

"Yes" she yelled and we all looked at her confused.

"What" nat said.

"Asher could teach you" she said happily and Henry and nay nodded in agreement, Nat was confused and Caleb rolled his eyes while I started laughing like a maniac and they looked at me like bitch what.

"What" I asked when I calmed down cause of their stares.

"Why are you laughing" henry asked giving me a look.

"Please...I don't want to fail" I said.

"What do you mean, he's the smartest in his set" fay defended and I almost chocked on my fanta. Dramatic aren't I.

"What!? Asher is smart" I asked in disbelief.

"Yeah, ash won best in English, government and literature 2 years in a row" Nay said.

"Swr their whole squad is smart" henry  said. "Elliot is a God in biology, French and physics. Austin is a chemistry and maths God and James is a computer and BK genius" he continued.

"Wow" nat and I said.

"Oooh I now have to beg Liam to teach me" I groaned .

"Yep if you wanna pass" nat encouraged.

"Ok I'll ask him during 7th period, he has a free period then cause he doesn't offer book keeping and he uses that time for soccer or some shit" I said and they looked at each other.

"Stalker" the girls teased and I shot them a glare.

"Wait don't we have English then" caleb asked.

"Yeah but well fuck it" I said shrugging.

"And you want to pass" fay said and they chuckled and we stood up and went to our respective classes.

* Asher's POV *

"Fine! asshole I don't need your class anyway" I said to Mr Emeka leaving his class after vexing me. I lied I do, I really really do. I totally need to learn Igbo before I graduated if not bye bye football academy.

Uggh I'm so frustrated, let me just start of my private soccer practice early before I break my knuckles punching a wall. And went to change.

* Ann's POV*

I'm currently walking to the soccer field and saw ash practicing shirtless with all concentration. Chai he looks hot sweating with his hair plastered on his forehead.

I sat on the bleachers waiting but he didn't want to rest so I decided to interrupt him.

"Em ash.." I tried saying.

"What" he spat coldly with anger and annoyance and I jumped from my spot like a cat they poured water on.

"Geez I'm sorry, if this is a bad time I can go" I said in fear recovering from my mini heart attack.

His eyes softened and he rubbed his face in frustration. "Shit sorry did I scare you" he said trying to touch me but I unconsciously stepped back preventing him from doing so, still afraid.

"I'm sorry,Don't be scared I'm OK now" he assured and I looked into his eyes and he stared back.

"What happened" I asked.

"The Igbo teacher" he said

" you offer Igbo" I exclaimed and almost fell on the floor laughing.

"Yeah...I'm trying, I don't look like it huh" he said rubbing the back of his neck looking flushed.

"Yeah I bet you sound funny speaking it too" I teased. "But why tho" I asked.

"My dad said I should learn Igbo and other Nigerian history and stuff before I'm allowed to go abroad for football academy so I won't lose my Nigerian side" he explained.

"Oh" I said understanding.

"And I'm almost there but Mr Emeka vexed me cause I couldn't write a letter in Igbo properly" he continued.

"Eyaa...anyway I need a favour" I beamed sweetly.

"No" he said.

"What! But you haven't heard it" I pouted.

"Ok shoot" he said.

"Well I'm not that good in English especially my writing aspect and I need a tutor fast, so could you help me please" I begged and he pretended to think.

* Asher's POV *

Finally she needs my help, now I can do what I want. Oh this is gonna be fun.

"And why should I help you" I said and she thought.

"Because we're friends and I asked nicely" she grinned.

"First of all we're not friends" I said and she pouted. "And second of all, I'm busy" I said and walked to the bleachers to get my shirt.

"Please Liam I really need this. Plz plz plzzzz" she begged following me behind as I smirk.

"Try harder" I teased and got my shirt and stopped hearing footsteps and turned.

Her head was bent with her hair covering her face and her hands on her eyes. Is she ...crying!?.

I walked to her and raised her chin up so she could look at me and indeed her eyes were watery and she did look sad. Eyaa.

"How bad do you want this" I asked her and her big light chocolate eyes were looking at me begging.

"Real bad" she replied .

"I'll do it on 3 conditions" I said.

"What?...anything" she said.

"Anything" I teased arcing a brow at her.

''Yeah I'll do it anything " she Replied desperately.

"I can't tell you...its a surprise" I smiled.

"Fine" she said letting a tear lose. "I'll do it" she said defeated and my smile turned into a full blown grin.

"Good girl" I said using my thumb to whip her tear then kissed her forehead.

"Meet me during prep" I said and left.

* Ann's POV *

I watched him as he left and a smile started to form on my face.

"Fool...I knew he won't leave me crying... He thinks I have time to waste" I said and skipped off to my class.

"So did he agree" fay asked as the whole gang were going to caf for lunch.

"Yes o" I said.

"How did you convince him" Nat asked.

"The norms" I replied.

"Crying?" She said.

"Yep" I replied grinning.

"Ekpalala" fay said and we all laughed.

We entered caf and got in line and for some reason it was traditional food special today so no junk. There were different kinds of soups and swallows and stuffs.

I got vegetable soup, Nat got okro, Fay  and Caleb got egusi soup, Nay banga and henry oha soup. We sat at our usual table when Sophia called me and I walked to her.

"Run" she said and I ran to her, she was sitting next to Melissa.

"Yes" I said indicating my presence.

"Get me okro and eba" she ordered.

" and tell Natalie to get me bangs and pounded yam" Melissa said and I went back to my table.

"Em Nat, Melissa said you should get her bangs and pounded yam" I said.

"Eh why me" she asked already fearing but I just shrugged and we went together.

"Bitches...they cannot even stand and walk to the front" I said."like who does that?" I continued complaining.

"Cows..as if we look like their waitresses" Nat commented. And we got their orders and went to them.

We stood there waiting for them to collect their foods but they just looked at it with disgust.

"Are you stupid or just deaf" Sophia said. "Didn't I tell you to get me nsala soup" she shouted but I just stood there confused.

"And you" Melissa said pointing at nat and flipping her hair. "I thought Ann was a dunce but seems like your worse" Melissa yelled at nat.

"I said vegetable not banga" she continued and nat looked at me but I was just confused and embarrassed cause the whole caf were looking at us. Lord please take me now. Asher, James,anybody please help me I prayed.

"I'm Sor.." But before I could apologize okro was dunked on me.

"Get me my soup" Sophia said glaring at me and I was about to beat the shit out of her for ruining my hair and uniform. Calm down Ann, breath.

"Me too" Melissa said throwing her bowl at Natalie. Nat looked at her uniform and was ready to slap Melissa's destiny out and I don't blame her, I was ready to do the same to Sophia but I just looked at nat giving her a look saying calm down ,its not worth it.

I'm sure she's happy that Elliot is not here to witness this, at least I'm glad Liam wasn't here either.

"What are you still doing here, get my food" Melissa yelled.

"Get it yourself bitch" Bella said from behind and I smirked. Oh you've done it now bitch.

"Your very stupid you know that right...you the reason this country had to put instructions on shampoo" Ella said to Melissa. Dammnn.

"Oh yes how clever...I'm so stupid and they gave me prep prefect" she rolled her eyes. She got a point tho.

"They gave you that post praying it would give you more sense" Ella shot back. You go girl.

"Wait o...why are you insulting us, what's your business" soph asked.

"Its our business cause your bullying our school daughters... People like you don't deserve prefectship" Bella said.

"You personality is so fucked up not even Bob the builder could fix it" she said and wows and damns went through the caf.

"Yeah remember that time you shut the fuck up, yeah me neither" Ella said. "I mean you have the rest of your life to be a jerk why don't you take a day off" she continued.

"You know, if your waiting for me to care, better pack your lunch cause its gonna take a while" Sophia said.

"Yeah I hope you choke on all that shit you talk" Melissa supported." You should really come with a warning label" she concluded.

"Yeah well your such a bitch not even the pound could accept you" Bella said raising  a fuck you finger and dragging me out of ref.

"Yeah I better get out of here, I think the shitty attitude is air borne" Ella said dragging nat out of caf as she snickered

"Bye bitches...hope the soup stains don't wash off" they said.

After nat and I cleaned up we went to gist with Bella and Ella.

"So she asked for okro then changed her mind to nsala" Bella asked.

"Leave the fool o" I said .

"She probably jealous" Ella said

"That's just petty" Nat and Bella said.

"Of what" I asked.

"Well Asher gives you more attention and likes you better" Ella said.

" I hope so" I muttered.

"Sha leave them baby" Bella said bringing me closer to her. "Someone, if not me will treat their fuck up" she said and I giggled as she let's me.

"So tell us...what's been popping" Ella asked and we told them everything.

"Hmm Jordan... Nice choice" Bella commented.

"That's exactly what she said about you" I laughed.

"So your now the player's babe" Ella teased and nat smiled.

" oh and I kissed Liam " and the sisters went silent.

"Shut up" Ella said. "Its a lie" Bella said.

"Its true" I smiled and they both started screaming and jumping on the bed like Justin beiber is coming to pay a visit.

"Oh how they grow" they pretended to cry.

I went for prep early like asher told me to and sat on a table waiting.... 30mins into prep and I was still waiting. What could he be doing I thought. I was still waiting and got pretty irrigated but to solve that problem I took a little nap and laid on one of the long chairs.

"Hey, hey wake up....wake up...think about your future" someone said poking my butt.

"What, I'm sleeping" I groaned.

"I can see that but this is not the time" he said and I realized the person and got up blushing... Hard.

"Sorry...I don't be poking my butt" I said and he chuckled.

"Ok let's get started" he said and I looked at the buch of textbooks in front of me.

"You carried all these books here" I asked.

"Of course not...someone carried it for me" he said. Figured

"Ok let's start with this" he said grabbing a huge textbook.

"Uggh English would be the death of me" I groaned.

He taught me everything I needed to know from figures of speech to different essays and letters, etc. He's a good teacher by the way. We stayed extra 3 hours but it was worth it.

"So yeah that's all you need and you guaranteed to pass" ash said.

"Thanks" I said.

"Anyway sorry about Sophia...I heard" he said shyly.

"Mtcheew....don't mind the idiot" I said Fashing the matter.

"Don't worry She'll have a taste of her own medicine...soon" he said and I just looked and bent my mouth at him.

He became serious again, as if he was thinking.

"Can I ask you something" he said looking shy.

"Sure shoot" I replied

"I'm I a horrible person" he asked and I was baffled by his question.

"Emm ..well" I tried thinking looking at him. "To be honest you are very mean, enclosed, harsh, intimidating, hot,etc but I know you can be loving and goofy, you just need to be surrounded by the right people...your not horrible Liam, I see the way you associate with your people, your just bent but not broken and bipolar kinda. I know the real you has that awesome fun side, you just need someone or something to bring that out" I said.

* Asher's POV *

Wow she's right. I'm I really that easy to read.

"Wow ok no problem... Just that ever since that my mom's incident I just became...evil I guess. I didn't trust anyone, I treated people like shit and it wasn't fair. I'm trying to change tho but I guess I'm still afraid" I said.

"Of what" she asked.

"Opening up and getting hurt" I said and she put her hand on mine and I looked at her.

"I'm a very sensitive person too but we just have to be strong...and if anyone plans on hurting you then that person is fucking stupid and I could help you" she said.

"How" I asked.

"By sprinkling my perkiness on you" she beamed as her eyes lit up and I smiled.

* Ann's POV *

Liam Asher Noles I'll reveal your good side if that's the last thing I do.

I was eating my dinner on the table when Melissa walked in with her Balmain skirt and crop top and Sophia followed her wearing high waist jeans and high-low top when Austin and James stopped them.

* Asher's POV *

Soph and Lisa walked in, that's my cue and I grabbed James to follow me.

"Hey...girls" I said stopping them.

"Hi" they waved back

"How far" James said.

"Nothing really" soph answered.

"Anyway I loved what you did to Ann and Nat" I said.

"Lol they have been vexing us" Lisa said.

"How by getting asher and Elliot's attentions" James asked.

"Well I won't lie yes" soph said

"Eyaa but if someone does it to you now how would you feel" James asked.

"Angry but I'll get over it" Sophia said then I looked at James and smiled.

* Asher's POV *

As a prefect, especially as head boy I'm very close to staff including the kitchen women so I asked if Elliot and I could take out their trash and they seemed more than happy to allow us.

I looked into the caf and saw Austin and James talking to them and I tapped Elliot.

"Its time to take out a filthier trash" I told him and be nodded and we entered caf.

* Sophia's POV *

I don't know why James is defending that little butch but its annoying.

" well get ready to get over this" James said to us and we looked at each other like what the fuck when all sorts of slimy ,smelly trash was all over my body and I turned to see ash and Elliot grinning and I saw that they did the same to Lisa and I looked at Ann and she was trying not to  laugh which made me angrier.

"Karma is a bitch isn't it" Austin said

"Yes take that bitch" Bella yelled.

"You go future brother in law" Ella cheered. And I looked at ash.

"Sorry it came to this soph" he told me patting my shoulder and I removed his hand.

"I hate you" I said.

"You know you love me" he smirked.

"Fuck you" Lisa shouted at Elliot.

"Anytime babe" he grinned. And Lisa and I left caf.
