Chapter 14: Time Tells

"Wake up ekpa" fay said in a very thick Yoruba accent.

"What na" I groaned.

"Economics is over, time for snacks break" fay said and I wake up tapping my face a few times to fully wake up.

"Geez you should be awarded sleeping beauty of the class...not that you wake up beautiful" henry said and the rest laughed but I could care less.

"I swr  and don't mind him ,your pretty even when you wake up" Caleb said as we all walked out to the hall. The same time Nat and Nay came out of their class and we went together.

I got pure bliss and fanta and sat down with the rest, the big 4 already there which was surprising.

"Liam has been staring here since" Nat whispered next to me and I turned with style to see for myself but he didn't meet my eye.

"Leave him his feeling sharp" I teased. "Probably plotting how to embarrass me next" I continued.

Then suddenly Caleb grabbed my hand.

* Caleb's POV *

I over heard Nat and Ann's conversation cause fortunately they are bad whisperers and I looked back and indeed he was looking this way. Time to play, this will teach him to interfere.

I grabbed Ann's hand and raised it a little so asher could  see and intertwined out fingers. "Do you want to stay with me during field night" I asked her against her ear and rubbed them with my thumb easing her and she nodded.

"Sure" she said with a smile but I didn't leave her alone and wrapped my arm round her shoulders playing with her hair.

* Asher's POV *

"I can't take my eyes off her, what kind of dirty hold does she have on me" I thought.

"Stop staring" James said next to me bringing me back to reality.

"I wasn't staring" I lied.

"Why you always staring at her....you like her or something" he asked.

"Nah pffh...what that's ridiculous" I babbled .

"Oh so you don't mind if I date her" he said and I was baffled and they all laughed.

"Dude your totally whipped" he said.

"No I'm not" I shot back. Was I ?

"Ha! Shut up, you are.... Your full of whipped cream" Elliot teased.

"Yh what of nae-nae lotion" Austin said and we all stopped and looked at him cause of his dry joke.

"Your dry as fuck" Elliot said.

"Well I don't what to be wet as spoon"

Austin joked again and Elliot punched him on the shoulder.

"Ouch" he winced.

"Guys don't look now but lover boy is making a move" James said and we faced Ann's group.

"Eww he's flirting" I said and they all laughed once more.

"what is his plan" I thought.

"Maybe he likes her" SC said

"Oh no you again"I mentally groaned.

"You know you love me" SC said.

"You really are my subconscious.. But back to the point" I said. "I mean who wouldn't like her"

"So do you?"

"Nah I'm just intrigued ." I'm not sure you know ,I'm Still getting used to this. I doubt tho" I said.

"Sha go for it before its too late...gotta run" SC said exiting and I was back to reality and looked at the guys whom were staring at me.

"Yep he's whipped" they said.

"Nae Naed" Austin whispered and Elliot hit him.

* Ann's POV *

After dinner people started leaving to go to the field. I was wearing a baggy navy blue shirt with the badge on it that ended mid thigh and boots with shorts underneath and a bandana plus my watch( never forget it). Walking hand-in-hand with Caleb,he has really grown on me. Henry was with Nay ,he finally decided to come and Nat and Fay were with rylie surprisingly.

"Hopefully no douche will disturb us tonight" Caleb said.

"Swr...the last time was not funny, tends to happen a lot" I said.

We kept on talking and playing in the grass and we were having a lot of fun...we even made our own hand shake.

"OK let's do it again and this time remember to lock and dab" he said.

"Sure I won't forget I promise" I confirmed and we did it again, and we locked our arms and dabbed and looked at each other, a wide grin on our faces. We unlocked our arms and held my hands looking at me seriously.

" I know I've not known you for a long time...well personally ,I stalk you on musically and IG sometimes " he whispered the last part.

"What" I said in utter disbelief.

"Nothing" he whisper yelled "the point is I know it hasn't been long but I really like you and we might not be more but I want us to be close...then maybe more later" I said cockily and I chuckled.

"Your really cool and easy going and I want to be with you" he finalized but before I could respond someone interrupted. Thank gos cause I didn't even know what to say.

"Hey guys" Bella greeted. "Just came to check on my favwet girl" she said tapping my head and I just looked at her.

"Caleb huh...he's a good kid, I totally approve" she continued and Caleb and I just looked at each other.

"Sorry trying to be that annoying parent...got nothing else to do" she explained.

"I think your getting your role well" I encouraged.

"Thanks b...emm what's the time" she asked looking at my wrist and I checked.

"Its...shit my watch is gone" I said panicking.  "Oh god...fuck fuck fuck its gone, I gotta find it" I said.

"Relax I'm sure its close by" Caleb said calming me down. "Let's just look for it" he advised and the 3 of us started searching the ground for it.

* Natalie's POV *

"Look at them" I said sending glares at Elliot and some girl. "Disgusting".

"Damn girl jealous much" rylie asked wiggling his brows.

"I'm not I just feel weird" I defended.

"Yh its called jealousy" fay and ry said at the same time then smiled at each other realizing.

" ase don't dare be happy in front of me with you googly eyes"I said.

"Lol don't be a bitch nat" fay said.

"Yh I'm sorry...look at him he's already tired of me..piece of shit" I said.

"Why would he? your amazing" fay said.

"Yh and I doubt tho ,that's Ella both of them are close" rylie said.

"Whatever I don't care" I lied.

"Sure you don't" fay and ry said rolling their eyes.

"Anyway looks like Ann them are playing a game or something" fay said and we looked at them searching the ground.

"Yh at least she's having fun" I said crossing my arms.

* Elliot's POV *

"Ella, I think I have a problem" I said.

"What's up" she said.

"I think I like this girl, like for real this time and I don't know what to do" I said rubbing the back of my neck.

"Shut up" she said dramatically. "The Almighty fuckboy finally met the girl of his dreams and doesn't know what to do" she teased dramatically.

"I'm not a fuckboy..well not anymore" I said cockily.

"Yh right I've seen you use girls like napkins then throw them away" she said." Heck I was once one of those girls but decided not to hate you for it... You can't start with a girl for more than 3 days" she continued. Damn I'm I that bad.

"Damn...I'm awesome" I realized and she smacked me behind my head.

"Is it Natalie" she asked.

"How did you know" I asked amused.

"You turn back to look at her every chance you get...and she looks like your type" she stated the obvious.

"Damn I think I'm whipped" I said.

"You think" she mocked. "Why do you like her sef" she asked.

"Girls literally throw themselves at me but she's different, she's cool,fresh,funny,ratchet and I love her height and colour. She can sing and dance, pretty, she's just a queen. Do you know I tried kissing her once but she rejected me, it hurt but now I need her bad...like is she blind" I explained pointing at myself.

"Damn you really are whipped" she confirmed.

"And I need your help to get her" I begged.

"Ok I'll help you...but you owe me big time" she said and I hugged her tightly and she left.

"Thanks...use sense o" I said and she turned.

"When have I not " she said and left.

* Ann's POV *

"This is taking forever ,we're not gonna find it like this" I said tired and my back is aching.

"So what do you suggest" Caleb asked.

"I got an idea" I said. "Bella come with me" I said dragging her along. I ran to look for Liam and I eventually found him sitting with Sophia and other seniors around them.

"Liam please I need your help" I said kneeling in front of him.

"Can't you see we're talking" Sophia said but he put his hand up indicating for her to shut up and Bella stuck her tongue  out at her.

"What is it" Liam asked

"I lost my watch and I need to find it, its really important to me" I said almost in tears.

"You wanna cry over a stupid watch" Melissa said.

"Shut up bitch, that watch is more important than your life" Bella shot and Melissa just kept quite.

"Please Liam" I begged.

* Asher's POV *

I looked at her almost crying and I couldn't leave her to cry.

"Just help her you moron" SC said and Bella also sending me glares.

"Ok I'll help you" I told Ann.

"What" Sophia said but I just ignored her.

"Thanks" Ann said and I helped her up and she whipped her eyes.

"How does it look" I asked.

"Its a light blue watch with diamonds on it and my name carves inside and a phrase saying " remember I'm always here" she explained.

The watch above but in blue and white and diamonds round it.

I turned around and announced "hey everyone bend down and start looking for a light blue and white watch with diamonds round it, it belongs to Ann... Now" I yelled and they all started searching and I went back to Ann but she was just seating with her head bent.

"What are you doing" I asked her.

"Praying to St Anthony of Padua, he always helps me find my things" she said sniffing and I understood cause I'm Catholic too.

"What's so important about the watch anyway" I asked curious.

"My dad gave it to me after I faked suicide once for attention and he said no matter how busy he is he'll always be with me as long as I wear it...I love my dad" I said.

"Don't worry we'll find it" I comforted and went to check on the progress cause its a pretty big field.

"I hope Ann's OK" her group came to ask as I walked around.

"Yes She'll be fine" I confirmed and they ran to meet her.

"Found it" an 8th grader squealed  and came to give it to me.

"Thanks" I told the boy and went back to Ann. Its a pretty watch tho.

"Guess what I found" I said to Ann and she rose her head.

"O my got yes" she squealed and ran into me hugging me tight crying into my chest and even tho I didn't want to hug her back she felt good under me and I slowly Hugged her back tracing circles on her back.

"Thanks for helping me" she said into my neck

"No problem" I said and she pulled back.

"Sorry for that"she said whipping her tears.

" its aiit" I said and wore the watch for her.

"Thanks again" she said getting up and nat hugged her. "I'm just gonna go" she said.

"We'll follow you" the girls said.

"Night boys" they said and I called Ann back and she came back looking cute as ever.

"You can call me asher" I said and she smiled walking away once more.

Sorry for making Elliot so cliché. But surprisingly many people like him @_vazinge_

Asher decided to be sweet yay....tell me guys should the love hate continue or they should be friends already.
