Chapter 10: Look Alive

It was time for the party ,we ate dinner and came back. Now we're preparing for it. It starts by 8pm and lights out is by 11:30pm but we come back by 11pm. I wore black jeans with a denim t shirt and pink vans with a chocker then tied my signature bandana to match while Nat wore a black jean black vans a pink inner shirt and a jacket,Nay a wine trouser,grey sweater and black timberlands and finally day with denim jeans,white tan top and a red t shirt on top. I already have thickish eyebrows and long lashes so I just brushed them and applied eyeliner and lip gloss as makeup and Nat did the same and we were ready. Nay and day were already glamed up and we headed out walking to hall.

As we stepped out we could hear music blasting from the hall and as we entered I was shocked. I expected it to be simple and just having a good time but the hall is party ready with food/snacks and red cups everywhere, decorations ,DJ stand and a stage.

"Cool party" nat said to fay .

"Oh the party has not started" fay said    pushing past sweaty teens leading us to Caleb and henry.

"Hey guys" nay said to them.

"Sup ladies" they greeted back. "Having fun" Henry asked.

"We just got here" nat said.

"Care to dance" Caleb offered.

"Sure and yeses" the girls replied.

"Nah I'll just stay back" I said not ready to expose my dance moves.

"OK I'll stay with you then" Caleb said and the rest went off to the dancefloor.

"He's a sharp shooter" fay said and everyone laughed and they were gone.

"Sit here while I get us something to eat" Caleb gestured as I sat on a high chair. He came back with mini bowls of Pringles and mini fantas and we talked and munched away but I could care less about what he is saying at this moment.

* Elliot's POV *

I was on my way to meet Natalie when I saw Caleb talking to Ann and it was so obvious she was not interested and I decided to cause a little trouble and put her out of her misery.

* Ann's POV *

Caleb was talking about something I can't remember when Elliot walked behind us and accidentally( note the sarcasm)spilled coke all over Caleb's shirt.

"Oh shit, sorry man it was an accident" Elliot said .

"Sure " I thought sarcastically.

"Are you okay" I asked Caleb trying to be concerned.

"Its OK I'll just go change" he said and left giving me a reassuring smile.

"I totally did that in purpose" Elliot said.

"Yeah I know" I replied.

"Now that I've put you out of your misery, why you so down b" he asked.

"Just not in the mood" I replied as he was looking at something else behind me but I didn't bother to check.

"Well that's about to change" he said taking me back to nat and the rest and went to the DJ stand.

* Caleb's POV *

I got cleaned up and headed back when I saw Elliot talking to Ann and when he noticed me coming he gave me a look clearly says "no come here o" and what could I do he's a senior ,I'm a sophomore so I respected myself and went back to the gang.

* Elliot's POV *

Its my job to ensure that everyone is having fun and that's exactly what I'm gonna achieve ,so I put on the latest and hottest jams and I could see that Ann was about to break.

* Ann's POV *

My favorite jams were coming up, from Man's Not Hot to pills & automobiles and everyone was dancing and twerking and grinding like crazy but I didn't budge especially after seeing asher and Sophia walking in but I waved it off. But when I heard look alive by drake I couldn't hold myself anymore, I looked at Nat and she smiled and both of us started shooting like mad and we became the center of attraction, now I was loose and ready to party ....I shaku shakued ,worked ,reversed everything and lots more and we were hailed and awarded dance queens of the night. Asher was  watching me from time to time but I didn't care. Soon Elliot came to join Nat and danced short skirt by Mr. Eazi in perfect accord like it was planned.

* Natalie's POV *

I was jamming to freaky Friday by Chris brown when Elliot came to me and short skirt came up.

"Wanna dance?.....now would be the perfect time to show me your moves.. Personally" he said leaning against my ear and I blushed understanding what he meant and took his hand and danced in perfect harmony and eventually started grinding on him following his lead.

* Asher's POV *

I looked at Ann and I admire her so much and it hurts the way her caramel skin glows under the dim light ,how her small waist wines like she's the queen of the dancefloor, her fashion sense, she reminds me of her so much and I hate it. I'm not the only one watching her as Caleb goes to the DJ stand and assurance by davido started playing and Caleb goes to meet Ann, says something to her ear and puts her hands around his neck and places his hands on her lower back pulling her closer to him. The sight was sickening, I was raged .

" are you OK ash" Sophia asked beside me .

"Yeah I just need air" I said and left to hostel not wanting to talk to anyone before I break someone's face. God why I'm I acting like such a pussy.

* Ann's POV *

Assurance started playing and Caleb came up to me with a huge smirk and with all confidence leaned down to my ear and said "I'm sorry for not coming back ,something came up but I wanna make it up to you...can't let a pretty lady staying mad at me" and looked into my eyes and took my hands around his neck and pulled me closer. I was shocked but I was liking it and went with it. We danced and it was really fun and he twirled me around making me rest my back on his chest and rested his head on my neck.

It was weird considering that I just met this guy but it was sweet and comforting, I looked around and saw Asher , our eyes met and he didn't look so pleased he stood up and left.

"What did they shove up his ass" I thought. Soon it was 11pm and the bell rang and we left to our respective hostels.

"I had fun tonight" Caleb said.

"Yh me too" I replied.

"Would love to hang out more" he said.

"No problem anytime we are free" I replied with a smile.

"Sha goodnight" he said spreading his arms for a hug and I gladly entered his embrace.

"Night" I said into his neck and he kissed my temple and I pulled out and walked to hostel.

* Natalie's POV *

"Damn girl you got dope moves ,I think I got a boner" Elliot joked.

"Shut up" I said hitting his arm playfully.

"Sha goodnight, see ya later I have to get going" I said and turned to leave when he held my wrist.

"Hey don't I get a hug" Elliot said with a pout.

"Not happening" and I turned on my heels again and he helm me by the arm and pulled me back making me hit his chest.

" sorry I wasn't supposed to ask" he joked and I hugged him back giggling into somewhere below his chest cuz his really tall and he kissed the top of my head and I smiled.

" night" he said and we went to hostel.
