Ch.31 Safe

The Hybrid ( BOOK I & II)

Remy kissed her temple, a sense of completeness surrounding his heart. Genevieve was worth so much and just overall amazing, and to think she was his soul mate. It was still as mind-blowing as they day he walked into the herb shop that belonged to her fathers. As long as Remy had Genevieve snuggled in his arms every night, he knew that nothing would come between them.

***UNEDITED + FLASHBACKS***

The sunlight casted a warm glow over the couple, the cool morning breeze drifting through the slightly opened window, the faint smell of salt water lingering in the air. The sound of waves crashing on the beach could be heard in the distance.

Remy turned the page of the science fiction book he was reading, his eyes flew over the words with speed, his brows pinched in concentration. He continued to read as his mate slept next to him, her arms wrapped around Remy's cold chest.

The heat difference between them had been something Genevieve had to get used to at first. Yet, now she laid cuddled up to his inhumanly cold body, as if it were the most normal thing about Remy.

The last few days they had spent in bed, making love, cuddling, talking, and even playing under the covers. Genevieve had never experienced Remy so romantic, carefree and playful. It was as if the Oahu Island, was there own personal island. Nothing mattered there besides them.

Genevieve had also noted that, Remy's sexual stamina was out of this world. He could go on forever and ever. Genevieve wondered if it had something to do with the supernatural side of him, or if it was just Remy. Although, Genevieve wasn't complaining. Remy was absolutely perfect, when making love to Gen. He was caring and gentle, he always made sure that Genevieve felt comfortable, that she was reaching her release (which she did multiple times).

..

Remy's ears perked up when he heard the doggy door lock from the inside. Soon after he heard Beau trotting around the first floor of the vacation house. Remy glanced at Genevieve, who continued to sleep peacefully, afterwards putting his book down and getting out of bed. Remy pulled on his black sweat pants and the matching sleeveless hoodie to go with it. He sat on the edge of the bed, as he pulled on his black nikes.

After kissing Genevieve's forehead, Remy walked out of the master bedroom and downstairs towards the albino Doberman. Beau waited patiently by the door, his light blue eyes landing on Remy as he jogged down the stairs.

"Ready, Beau?" Remy connected the leather leash to the collar around Beau's neck.

Beau barked happily, his tail wagging from left to right.

"Shhh." Remy quieted the large dog down. He stepped out the door with Beau, afterwards locking the door behind him.

Remy set off in to a light jog, Beau trotting beside him. Once they reached the beach, both set off into full sprint. Remy made sure to keep his speed in check, as to not rise suspicion if anyone happen to see them.

Meanwhile Genevieve had woken up, a faint smile on her lips as she remembered the night before.

Genevieve blushed as she remembered the way Remy had touched her, made love to her. The last few days had been the best days of her life. Remy was the only man that could ever make her this happy, the only man that would ever make her this happy.

Genevieve had come to the conclusion that Remy was out with Beau. The dog had gladly taken a spot out in the backyard over the week, but Remy still insisted on taking Beau for a jog.

Gen wrapped the cotton sheet around her naked body and walked into the bathroom, a slight limp in her walk. She was a little sore, but it made her happy for some reason. It was as if the soreness was a reminder of what they had done. Genevieve would never regret leaving Miami with Remy all those months ago. It was the best disicion she had made, in her twenty four years of life.

Letting the sheet fall, Genevieve stepped into the large shower. The water was hot, as it cascaded down her back, the heat relaxing her muscles. Genevieve hurried to wash her hair, and her body. The couple still had things to pack, before they could leave the vacation home.

After rinsing the last of the conditioner out of her hair, Genevieve stepped out of the shower, and wrapped a large towel around her body.

Remy walked into the bathroom, his black boxer-briefs hanging dangerously low on his hips. He pulled Genevieve against his body, lifting her off of her feet to plant a soft kiss on her damp lips. Remy pulled back, a silly grin on his face.

"Morning." He chuckled, while stepping into the shower, after pulling off his only piece of clothing.

"Good morning." Genevieve smiled shyly, afterwards moving to the sink to get ready.

The couple talked about what needed to be done before going back to the airport, Remy showering in the process and Genevieve doing her hair and putting on light make up.

Soon after Remy stepped out of the shower, wrapping a towel around his hips and using another to dry his damp blonde hair. "After breakfast I'll load our stuff into the car and I'll walk Beau one last time before we leave."

"Make sure you don't forget to take your blood bag out of the fridge. I can already imagine the look on the landlords face, if he happens to check the house after we leave." Genevieve mentioned his blood bag casually. It didn't bother her the slightest that Remy had taken a few blood bags. Gen felt better knowing he would be completely "fed" before going into the full moon that lasted nearly two weeks.

Two weeks; that how long they would be separated. It sounded more like a challenge for them if anything else. They always saw each other, always talked to each other. Genevieve was worried about not seeing Remy for over a week. The last full moon had already been depressing for her. How would this one be?

"Did you call your dads to tell them what time you'll be landing? I want someone to pick you up from the airport. I don't want you stranded at the airport alone, especially at night." Remy was serious about her safety. He didn't want anything happening to his mate, if he wasn't there to care for her.

"You worry too much, Remy." Genevieve began, glancing at Remy through the mirror. "I'll call Luke. I think Spencer mentioned something about taking Nick out on a date night."

"I'll call Luke." Remy corrected, picking up his toothbrush.

Genevieve laughed. "I'm a big girl, I can make a phone call."

"I know you are, but I'd feel better if you'd let me make the phone call." Remy said, after rinsing his mouth.

Genevieve nodded. "Fine. Just don't threaten him or anything."

Remy faked a gasp. "Me? I would never. I can't believe you would make such accusations, Genevieve."

Genevieve elbowed his ribcage. "I'm serious Remy."

Remy stood behind his mate and wrapped his arms around her. "I know you are."

He began to slowly place opened mouth kisses down her neck. Genevieve moaned lowly, her fingers grasping the sink for support. Remy trailed his hands down her sides, the heat building between them again. Remy nipped at her pulse, making Genevieve arch into his crotch with her ass.

Remy cupped her breast over the towel, a growl coming from deep within his chest. Genevieve turned around into his arms, their lips meeting in a heated kiss. Remy lifted Genevieve onto the counter, stepping between her thighs, as he snaked his tongue into her warm mouth.

Genevieve reached for his towel, ready for another love making session. Remy touched her hands, stopping them from any further movements. "We can't."

Genevieve leaned back a little, so she could look at Remy. "We still have a couple of hours before we l-"

Remy cut her off by kissing her softly. "It's not about the time. We don't have any condoms left."

"Oh... I understand ...." Genevieve acknowledged, her face unreadable. She hopped off the counter and walked out of the bedroom without another word.

Remy groaned silently. He shouldn't have started something, if he knew that they wouldn't be able to finish it. He walked after his mate, an apologetic expression on his face.

Genevieve had her back turned away from him as she shakily pulled on her undergarments. He didn't have to see her face to know that she was fighting the tears.

"Genevieve, I thought we talked about this." Remy spoke, his voice laced with concern for Genevieve.

"I-I .. I know. I know. I'm sorry. " Genevieve apologized, although she still had to look at Remy.

Remy walked up behind her and hugged her tightly to his chest. "When I said we'll talk about it when the time comes, that's exactly what I meant. We still have time though. I'm not going anywhere, You're not going anywhere. We don't have to have a baby right now."

Genevieve nodded, pulling Remy's arms tighter around her body. "Promise me, you'll consider having a baby within the next years. I don't want to be forty five and having my first child."

"I promise." Remy kissed her cheek. "I don't want you to feel like I'm giving you false hope, just because I want to wait a couple of years before we have children."

"I understand what you mean, Remy. As long as you're willing to consider, than that's enough for me." Genevieve replied, a small smile on her lips.

Remy took the information in, as well as he reminded himself that Genevieve was his mate and maybe that gave them better chances of having a smooth pregnancy. He was definitely more willing, if he knew that there was more of a chance of Genevieve coming out unharmed, as well as the baby.

"You'll be at the airport at nine thirty, waiting at the south entrance, ready to pick her up." Remy spoke through the phone. He wasn't playing around, he meant business.

"Calm the fuck down, Remy. I said I'll be there." Luke muttered through the phone. Although Luke wouldn't become the next alpha of his pack, he still had the alpha gene in him. No alpha, liked being commanded nor spoken to like Remy had to Luke.

"I'll let that slide because you don't have a mate of your own. But next time you better watch your mouth, pup." Remy ended the call, relying on Luke to pick up Genevieve.

Remy ended the call and went on the search for his mate in the crowded airport. He spotted her buying a water at the weird looking souvenir shop. He snuck up behind her, and planted a firm hand on her butt, while pressing up close behind her. "I'm going to miss you, baby."

Genevieve turned around, an embarrassed smile on her face. "Remy."

"Come on, your flight leaves in a few minutes." Remy said, while paying for Gen's water.

"Where's Beau?" Gen asked, as they walked to her gate.

"In the car. Levi's going to send him off tomorrow morning. I gave him your number so he should call you and give you the rest of the details."

"Okay. Call me first thing the full moon is over." Genevieve whispered against his chest, as he hugged her tight.

"I will. You'll be careful while you're there." Remy kissed the top of her head. "I'll come pick you up and we can reunite like we did last time."

Genevieve's lips twitched into a smile, as she remembered that moment.

Over the intercom they heard as Genevieve's flight got called for the final time.

"I'll miss you, Remy." Genevieve gazed at her mate from under her eyelashes.

"I'll miss you more, baby. I love you so much." Remy kissed her one last time. "Be careful for me."

"I love you too." Genevieve pulled away from Remy and walked towards her terminal.

Remy watched his mate, first leaving when they secured the door behind her. Now he was on his way home, to spend almost two weeks in a dark room without his mate.

TRIGGER WARNING

"Luke, where are you? I've been waiting for an hour now. I'm going to catch the bus" Genevieve spoke once again on his answering machine.

She wrapped her jacket tighter around her chest, as she pulled her suitcase behind her. The sky was dark and the moon was up and full. Genevieve knew that Remy had to have been already in his "room".

Genevieve hurried over to the bus stop, that was nestled at the opening of an alley. A cab ride home would be to expensive and she couldn't wait all night for Luke. A tall man sat under the roof of the bus stop, his face covered by his dark hoodie. Genevieve ignored him and moved a few feet away from him, as her phone started to ring.

"Luke?" Genevieve answered the phone, in hopes of it being her best friend.

"I know I'm late. I can't come pick you up ... but I've sent Dean to come pick you up. He should be there within the hour."

"An hour?" Genevieve didn't really like Dean, but he was better than riding the bus for two hours. "Tell him I'm at the bus stop down the street."

"I will. Are you okay waiting?" Luke asked, worried for his friend.

"I don't have any other option." Genevieve replied, a slight edge to her voice. "You better make this up to me Luke."

"I will, I promise." Luke chuckled, before ending the call.

Genevieve put her phone back into her pocket. She took a seat on the same bench where the man sat, although still leaving space between them. Gen looked at her surroundings, while pulling her sleeves over her cold hands.

She could see the many lights of the airport down the street. Other than that it was pretty dark, with a few more alleyways and a nearby bar.

She stood up and began to pace the small space of the bus station. Suddenly the hooded man had her pressed up against the bus stop wall. A gasp escaped Genevieve, her heart lurching in her chest, as the man pressed his whole body against hers.

He pushed a dirty hand against her mouth, preventing her from screaming. His face remained covered by the hoodie, yet his evil green eyes shined from under the hood. "Give me what I want and I won't hurt you."

Genevieve nodded shakily, tears brimming her eyes.

"We are going to go into that alley and I am going to have my way with you. And you will be silent or else I will slit your throat." He flashed the pocket knife towards Genevieve, making sure she understood.

He released his hand from her mouth and pushed her towards the alley, making her stumble in the process.

"S-someone's coming to p-pick me up. Just l-let me go and I w-won't say anything. I-I p-promise." Genevieve stuttered, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Shut up!" He pushed Genevieve deeper into the alley.

Once the two couldn't be seen anymore, the man proceeded to grope Genevieve. He tried kissing her, but Genevieve resisted, shoving against him as hard as she could. She struggled even more when she felt the man press his hard on against her thigh.

"Stop-p! Please, s-stop!" Genevieve begged as he began to rip her shirt apart. His movements were fast, his voice deep as he told her to shut up once again.

Genevieve tried covering her body, crying out for her mate, as the man unbuckled his pants. He pressed his forearm against her throat, the harder she fought. The man pulled his c☹ck out of the confine of his boxers using his other hand.

"Shut up, you little c★nt!" He squished her cheeks together with one hand while the other popped the button of her jeans.

Genevieve struggled against him, whispering Remy's name. This wasn't happening. This couldn't be happening!

"I said shut up, b❁tch." The man grabbed Genevieve by the hair, bringing her head forward before pushing it back against the bricks with force. A sickening thud could be heard, as a blinding pain spread through out Genevieve's head, her brown eyes rolling to the back of her head.
