"Blue, red, pink, or gold?" Said my mother as she went through all the dresses that were sent by designers or were in my closet and haven't been worn.

"Leanne, can you please be a dear and help your mother instead of being in that device 24/7?" She asked as she looked at me with a bunch of dresses in her hand.

"Mother, I don't see the point in helping you if you're going to decide what I'm gonna wear by yourself," I told her without even looking up my phone.

"Honey, this is very special accession. You and your fiancee are going to announce the engagement to the public and honestly, I don't care about the engagement. I only want you to be happy and it's a little hard to know when you don't look interested," she said.

Of course, I'm not interested. This world is simply a mission and although I'm enjoying it. I would rather find a way to destroy the FL without hooking up with all the MLs in online novels. Which is impossible since MLs are the supreme beings in books. Although, the FLs never die is only because there's always a man to save them. The only good thing is that all of the Mls that I'm going to hook up with are handsome. So, I'm just gonna enjoy their company and get out of this world as soon as I complete my mission.

'Or you can beat the female lead to death,' said Liam listening to my thoughts.

'Liam, please get out of my head before I destroy your existence,' I told him.

"Leanne?" My mother asked with an annoyed toned since I wasn't responding to her assumptions.

"Mother, I'm not necessarily excited about this arrangement either. But, like Jesus said, "what will be will be," I told her trying to get her off my back. Cause even though I love her, I need my alone time with the love of my life. My phone.

"I'm a hundred percent sure that, Jesus didn't say that," she said.

"Do you even read the bible?" I asked

"Do you?" She responded with an attitude.

"That's not the point," I said

"Leanne!" She said through gritted teeth.

"Fine, I'll pick a dress," I said throwing my phone in the white fainting couch.

"You don't seem to be in a very good mood," she said as she looked at me with an I give up face.

"I'm fine, I'm just stressed because of my classes and my work at dad's company," I told her.

"If you say so," she said helping me look through the dresses and dropping the subject.

'Host, is that the real reason?' Asked Liam sounding concerned.

'I'm not sure. I just need to know what's going through the ML's mind. You said that he was starting to like the Fl but, why did he give in to me so fast?' I asked Liam trying to figure this out. I mean, I know I'm the prettiest of all but, wasn't his surrender a little too fast.

'Are you worry that he might be faking it?' Asked Liam.

'No, I definitely know he's not faking it. I'm just trying to figure out why changed his mind so fast,' I said.

'Well, I said he was starting to like the FL. Not that he was in love and completely crazy about her. Plus, he met you first and he might've liked something about you from that time. Not only that but, you kind of made the FL looked bad when you went to his company. Also, the novel said that he started to fall in love with her after they were married. Which might explain his behavior,' said Liam.

'I know but...'

'Eleanor,' he said which made me pay attention since it was the first time that he called me by my real name. 'You're doing a great job so, stop trying to find faults in everything. You just have fun and I will tell you if you're getting too carried away. We are a team. You have my back and I have yours. Now stop being an annoying bitch to your mother and enjoy playing with the heart of a young rich CEO,' he said with a commanding tone.

I laughed softly at his words and said, "I will."

"Baby, did you say something?" Asked my mom.

"Nothing, sorry mom. My head is all over the place today," I told her. Feeling sorry for my crappy attitude 2 minutes ago.

"You don't have to go to the party if you don't want to. I'm sure that fiancee of yours will understand and we can always come up with an excuse like a sudden death in the family. More specifically your grandfather." She said the last part in a really a small voice but, I could still hear it.

"MOTHER!" I yelled.

"What? I'm joking you're always so serious. My gosh," She said avoiding eye contact.

"I simply cannot understand why, you and grandpa are always on each other's throats," I said with a sigh.

"It's how we show our love for each other, don't mind it and pick a dress," she said laughing awkwardly.

"Fine. But honestly, he's old so be nicer with your jokes we don't want him taking it the wrong way," I said.

"Fine."

In the MLs mansion:

"Sir, your mother called and she doesn't seem to be in a good mood," said Eli while holding a phone in his hand.

The ML was looking at his reflection while fixing his tie when he heard him and with a sigh, he said, "What happened?"

"She just said that she'll talk to you later but, I called one of the maids in the old house and she told me what happened. Apparently miss Emma, when to visit your mother with gifts from her trip and they were having a good time. Until your mother started talking about you. Miss Emma, started crying uncontrollably and told her what happened at the restaurant," said Eli quoting everything the maid said word by word.

After hearing what happened the ML sighed again and said, "that's fine I'll talk to her after the party."

"I think you're gonna have a hard time in the future. You know how much your mother loves Emma," said Eli sounding amused by the whole situation.

"I don't care how much she loves her. I made my feelings towards her pretty clear and I'm not going to back down just because, my mother is throwing a tantrum," said the Ml.

"What about miss rose?" Asked Eli.

"Miss Rose?" Asked the Ml sounding confused.

"Julie rose, the employee you started liking and your fiancee publicly humiliated," he said repeating what happened that day and making the Ml laughed remembering the lecture he receives from his fiancee.

"What about her?" Asked the ML.

"Well your fiancee doesn't exactly like her and all of the employees that helped with the project are invited to the party. This might turn into a catfight," said Eli.

"Leanne is too educated to let something like that happen. Don't worry about it," said the ML.

"So, I'll need to keep miss rose away from you and your fiance during the celebration?" Asked Eli.

"That will be for the best," said the ML.

Hello, wonderful readers (that are still reading this novel). I know it's been a few seconds since I updated and I'm not going to make excuses. I'm just gonna tell you exactly what happened........ Nothing. I was kind of feeling depressed because nothing was happening in my life. So, stopped updating and decided to enter the gardening club and the Student Senate in my high school. To see if things change and to be honest, everything is still the same. Except, that know I have more responsibilities and I'm starting to enjoy school a little bit more.I decided to update because I just started my spring break. I know some of you have been asking me about my update schedule and honestly, I don't know. But, since I have a whole week to myself I'm gonna dedicated to you and update every day and hopefully finish this arc by the end of the month. Sorry, for the long wait.
