Chapter 85
Reborn Before The Divorce
âI can pay, but your restaurant will go bankrupt sooner or later!â
âWhat did you say?â Jasper was so angry that he threw a punch without warning. The young man didnât react and was hit, changing the nature of the situation.
âWhat are you doing, Jasper!â Willette was furious and immediately went to see the young man. âAre you okay, Iâm sorry, Iâm sorry!â
âYou hit me?â He licked his lips. âOkay, Iâll pay the bill.â
âSir, you donât need to pay for this meal. Itâs on us.â
âNo need.â
âSirâ¦â Willette reached out to pull his arm but was pushed away.
âWhat are you pushing me for? You shameless thing!â Jasper didnât feel guilty for punching someone, but became even more arrogant. He thought this man was just a commoner, not worth fearing.
Suddenly, the red-haired man took action, grabbing Jasper and pressing him onto the cash register, his big hand squeezing his neck. Jasperâs face instantly turned red, and he showed a look of fear.
Onlookers gathered around, afraid that a fight would break out.
âSay it again, I dare you?â
âSir, please calm down!â Willette never expected things to escalate to this point.
âSister, are you okay?â Nydia suddenly appeared, carrying a gust of wind and appearing in front of everyone. With her pure white face and worried expression, she walked over to Willette and asked.
âNydia, why are you here?â Willette was startled when she saw Nydia.
âI came here to eat today. But letâs not talk about that now, letâs deal with this first.â
She walked up to the red-haired man. âSir, I know you donât mean to trouble the people in the restaurant, youâre just disappointed that the chef didnât make the taste match the price, right?â
The red-haired man had already let go of Jasper. Jasperâs face was swollen like a pig liver and he was coughing hard.
âWho are you?â He raised an eyebrow and looked at Nydia.
âI used to be the chef in this restaurant, but I left after some things happened. If you donât mind, I can make these dishes again for you to make up for it. What do you think?â
âYou?â He seemed to doubt Nydiaâs ability.
Nydia nodded with a smile, calm and peaceful, with a magical charm of her own.
âIf you canâ¦â his words were interrupted by Willette, âNydia, Iâll take care of this matter. Donât get involved, or it might cause trouble for you.â
âSister, itâs okay. As long as I can help you, I donât mind working harder.â She smiled brightly, both in words and in deeds to help Willette. If Willette refused again, it wouldnât be appropriate, especially with so many people watching.
However, only Nydia knew that Willette really didnât want her help, nor did she want her to show off her cooking skills.
âPlease wait for me. Iâll go to the kitchen and make it again for you.â
âOkay. If the taste of what you make is not satisfactory to me,â he smirked, his gaze sweeping over Jasper and Willette, âweâll see.â
Willette clenched her fists and couldnât help asking Nydia, âNydia, are you sure you can do it? You havenât cooked for many years, and if heâs not satisfied with your foodâ¦â
The implication was that if Nydia was too eager to show off and brought more serious consequences to the restaurant, it would be Nydiaâs fault.
âSister, donât worry. Since I took on this task, Iâll take care of everything. If I really canât satisfy him, let him come to me for trouble. It wonât affect the restaurant chefs.â
Her words made the onlookers think that Nydia was really an angel, while her sister didnât seem so sincere.
The two of them sat down again.
âCuthbert, you went too far today.â The older man said to the red-haired man.
As a result, he pouted, âYou got beaten up and youâre still blaming me?â
Cuthbert Cannon was speechless.
