Chapter 800 – Confusing Nydia to Death

“Counting the hours, it’s okay, there’s nothing wrong with doing a little cooking, after all, all the other pregnant women are still working before they give birth.”

“Go, now.” Alex got up.

Jesse however was unmoved.

He raised his eyes to Alex, “What exactly is your agenda, just say it, no need to beat around the bush like that!”

“Jesse, why are you still so sullen?”

“What did I teach you before?”

“Am I the one who’s not calm?” Jesse stood up and looked straight at Alex, “Who’s being sullen?”

The smile on Alex’s face retracted to reveal a somber look.

“Jesse, I’m giving you a chance, if you don’t want it then don’t blame me as an uncle for being heartless!”

“You’re giving me a chance? Give me what chance? Just creating a car accident to cripple my legs or taking my children?”

Alex sneered, “What’s that? All I have to do is think about it and now you’ll lose your wife, and the baby in your belly, you want to try?”

“Threaten me?”

“Yes!”

The uncle and nephew went at it like that.

Probably because Alex’s emotions were subjected to ups and downs, he coughed and couldn’t stop coughing, and the people around him immediately handed him medicine.

He took the medicine and eased up a bit, but his breathing was still a bit rapid and difficult.

It could be seen that the physical quality was already quite poor.

The bodyguard was about to hit Jesse right away, but was stopped by Alex.

“You look at me and you know I don’t have many years left to live, you can’t wait for me to die can you?” Alex looked at him with a pale face.

“Is it me who can’t wait for you to die or you who can’t wait for me to die?” Jesse found the ability to turn black and white really admirable.

Alex laughed as he took a sip of his lung-moistening tea to feel better.

“I couldn’t wait for you to die? If I wanted you dead, you’d be dead already.”

“Is that so?”

“Don’t believe me?”

Jesse didn’t go stubborn with Alex, who looked like a stubborn old man to him at this point.

“Are you worried that bringing me home will hurt your wife?”

“If I do hurt her, do you think you can protect her?”

These words were very uncomfortable for Jesse to hear, there was a sense that he was totally inadequate in front of Alex, as if he was a loser.

“Of course I can’t keep someone as mean and vicious as you, I can’t defend myself.” Jesse turned on the taunting.

“I promise you, I’ll go over there this time and have her give me a close look at my body and cook me a meal, and then I’ll leave.”

“Then what are you going to all this trouble for?”

Jesse really couldn’t keep his cool around Alex.

He’d noticed it himself, but he couldn’t help himself.

It would turn from a calm and self-controlled bully into a brat, and his words and actions would be seen through by Alex.

Likewise, Alex became transparent to him, and neither could remain calm, or Alex wouldn’t have been so pissed off just now that he coughed.

“Let’s go.” Jesse compromised.

He had zero trust in Alex, but all things considered, he had to bring the two kids back today, and as for bringing more people, it was a no-brainer.

“You can only take one person.” Jesse said to Alex.

Alex looked over at him with an amused look on his face, “Are you going to get me killed?”

“Let’s see if you make a mistake.”

“Jesse, you weren’t even as cute as you are now when you were a kid.”

Jesse resisted the urge to roll his eyes and asked again, “If you agree then go, if not forget it.”

“Okay, no problem.”

Alex wasn’t worried at all that Jesse would turn on him, because his men were loyal enough to fulfill his last wishes even if something happened to him.

It was easier to live with him instead, and it would be an actual disaster if he died.

Molly and Tavish were brought back.

“Daddy, can we go home now?”

“Uh, yes.”

Molly deliberately looked back at Alex at this point, “Big Grandpa, do you want to come home with us?”

Alex was visibly stunned, he didn’t expect Molly to invite him, even though he was going to go, his mindset was a little different at this point.

“Does Molly want Big Grandpa to come home with you?”

“Big Grandpa is too lonely here, and if I go home, Big Grandpa will miss me, why don’t you come with me to the house as a guest?”

“Okay, Big Grandpa will go home with you.”

Jesse had come with the mindset that he couldn’t go back, he didn’t expect to go back when he arrived, or to go back with Alex with his two kids, a turnaround that was really unexpected.

He guessed that Alex did mean for him to stay at first, but then somehow changed her mind.

“I’m going to give my wife a call about this.” Jesse said.

“Uh, okay.”

Jesse waited until he got to where he had parked earlier and regained his cell phone to drive his own car.

He dialed Nydia’s number.

“Hello, yes, Jesse?” Nydia was obviously scared, and the tone made Jesse’s heart ache.

“It’s me, I’m coming back with the kids now.”

“Wh, what? Back? Are you all okay? He’s letting you guys back in?”

Nydia was just too shocked.

“I’ll tell you the details later, it’s not just us coming back, he’s coming too, says he misses your cooking.”

“You prepare something light.”

Nydia was still in a state of shock, not expecting things to go this way at all, she was straight up humanly stupid.

But since Jesse had explained it, she still had to prepare it.

While she was in the kitchen getting ready, Jesse came home with the guys.

“Mommy Mommy! We’re home Mommy!” Molly yelled as soon as she entered the house and immediately rushed over to Nydia when she saw her but stopped when she was about to touch, “Mommy, I missed you so much!”

Nydia reached out and stroked her head, “Mommy missed you too, why have you gained weight since we haven’t seen you in a few days?”

“Mommy, this is big grandpa, he’s so nice to me, my brother got left out, who made him not as cute as me.” Molly introduced Alex.

Alex saw Nydia and his eyes swept over her bulging belly which made Nydia nervous.

“You’re obviously not as open to seeing me this time as you were last time, is it because you’re pregnant?” He asked with a smile.

“It’s a mother’s nature.” Nydia replied.

“Please, make more of my favorite dishes, oh yes, I want dumplings this time.”

“Good.”

Nydia went back to the kitchen to get busy while Jesse stayed outside with Alex and the two kids.

Alex and Molly were playing nicely, Molly introduced her toys to Alex and really looked like grandparents and grandchildren.

Tavish and Jesse looked at each other, their eyes both somewhat meaningful.

“It’s time to eat.”

Nydia made the food and told them to eat.

“Tavish, take your sister to wash her hands.”

“Okay.” Tavish took Molly to wash her hands.

Alex and Jesse also went to wash their hands.

“Your daughter is adorable.”

“Thanks to your wife, your son is just as boring as you are.”

“Just say me, don’t say my son.”

Jesse said in displeasure.

“Is Nydia carrying a girl or a boy?”

“Boy.”

“Pity.”

Pity for what?

He suddenly had a bad feeling about this, Alex was so fond of Molly now, could he have gotten any ideas?
