Chapter 791 – Cade is Dead

“What gold?” She was confused.

“The gold I put in the secret room, what are you pretending with me? You swapped out the gold in the secret room and left a bunch of fake ones sitting there, otherwise I wouldn’t have had to rush in!”

“The secret room? Gold? Cade, what are you babbling about? Don’t you dare blackmail me here!”

Willette thinks this is Cade blackmailing her, she doesn’t know anything about secret rooms or gold.

“You didn’t set the house on fire for the secret room, stop pretending here! Give me back the gold!”

“Nuts!” Willette turned around and was about to leave, but Cade shouted for someone to stop her, “If you want to walk out of here today you have to return the gold to me, otherwise you don’t want to walk out!”

“I finally realized what you called me here today, I said why are you in such a good mood for me to eat!”

“Cade, if you don’t want to die then settle down a bit, you should know that it’s definitely not my own doing that I’ve become like this today, there’s someone behind me, you can try.”

“Who the hell is going to die first!” Willette said coldly, word for word.

These words made Cade instantly wimp out.

He was wondering about this before, thinking about what the hell was going on with Willette, suddenly changing her face, and in such a short period of time.

“Let me go or you might not live through the night.” Willette put in a harsh word again.

She was actually panicked, there was nothing she could do if Cade forced her not to leave.

But this man was her father, and she did understand that Cade was very suspicious.

Cade finally let Willette go.

Those gold will not come back after all, forget it, the life is at least still there, if the life is also gone, there is no place to spend more gold.

He coldly glanced at Taylor, “Clean up!”

Taylor had a belly full of fire, but when he saw the bodyguards around Cade, he lost his temper, and despite being in a mess, he still had to clean up.

“He’s, he’s, dead, dead!”

“What?” Taylor stared in shock, “What did you say?”

“Mr. Malone, dead.” The caretaker repeated with a gulp.

Taylor and the bodyguard both went up to check on him, just to find Cade’s death in such a gruesome state that Taylor took two steps backwards falling to the floor in direct shock.

The features were twisted, the eyes were wide open, and the limbs were twisted in a grotesque position, not at all something a normal person could make.

“Call the police! Call the police immediately!” The person was already dead through and through, there was no point in calling an ambulance.

Soon after the police were called, the police men came and took Cade’s body away, it needed to be autopsied by a forensic pathologist, meanwhile everyone who was in the house was suspected, after all, Cade died in the house in the early hours of the morning.

Taylor hadn’t gotten over the shock of what had just happened thinking it was too much.

“I-I don’t know, I only came out of my room when I heard the screams, we slept in separate rooms after he was released from the hospital.”

“He was fine until he went to bed, the caretaker watched him sleep before he left.”

“It was the medication before bed and then I left and went to my room, now Mr. Malone doesn’t need a caretaker at night and he sleeps with his door locked, none of us have a key.”

It is evident that Cade was trusting no one.

The police men searched the house and indeed did not find a second key, but it still doesn’t exclude suspicion; after all, they could have found a chance to make a key and thrown it away afterwards.

Granted, Taylor did say something about Willette’s visit last night, but with Willette gone, there’s a lot less suspicion.

But still, go ahead and investigate accordingly.

News of Cade’s death reaches Nydia’s ears.

“What? He’s dead?”

“How come he’s dead? Didn’t he say he was recovering well before?”

“Take it easy for now, let me tell you what I know so far.” Jesse hurriedly stabilized Nydia.

“It’s possible, wasn’t Willette there? And supposedly fought with Taylor, then it’s entirely possible again that Cade was given it while it was going around.”

“You go ahead and offer that tip to the police.”

“Yeah, I’ll take care of it, don’t worry about it.”

Since Nydia and Jesse hadn’t been in contact with Cade in a long time, the two of them were just routinely questioned and the police basically didn’t bother them much.

Jesse provided a clue about Pippa’s reaction to the pills she had taken at the time, showing the police the relevant video footage.

“This is what Pippa looked like at the time after she took the pills, and as you can see, there are a couple of poses that are somewhat similar to Cade’s death.” He told the police people.

The police felt the lead was still important and they copied the video over and went back to investigate Pippa.

Pippa was working at her company and it struck her as odd that the police people suddenly went to see her.

“What do you guys want to see me about?”

“We are investigating the case of Cade’s death and would like to ask Miss Wagner what you were doing between eleven p. m. and two a. m. on March fifteenth.”

Pippa froze, “What does Cade’s death have to do with me? I was at home sleeping, my family knows all about it.”

“Since there is something peculiar about Cade’s death, please take a look.”

Pippa froze when she saw what Cade looked like in the picture, obviously the pose was not unfamiliar to her.

“What do you guys mean? Suspecting me of murder? What does it matter to me if he died looking like this?” She was obviously a little nervous.

“We’re basing our analysis on this video.”

Pippa was shocked to see the video, why was it there? And where was it?

It took her a while to remember if this wasn’t Nydia’s house. Last time it was at Nydia’s house that she took the pills and then …

“Did Nydia give you this?”

“Yes, they gave a clue that you have this problem when you take some medication, and we wanted to know if you still have that medication? And where did you get this drug?”

At first Pippa was reluctant to talk, but if she didn’t, she would be the most suspicious person, and even if she didn’t, she would know if she went and asked her family, so she had no choice but to talk, and give Willette, a. k. a. Leonardo, up.
