Chapter 67
Reborn Before The Divorce
Jesse gave her a cold glance, but she didnât flinch. After spending a few days with him, she knew Jesse was someone who talked tough and treated her with the worst attitude, but protected her with the most dominant posture.
Cool medicine was applied to her forehead, causing a slight dull pain.
Her eyes could just see his lips. His lips were thin and red, but slightly dry. She could also see the tip of his nose when she looked up slightly.
She lowered her gaze and continued to look at his lips. It was said that people with thin lips were unfeeling, but Jesse seemed to be different. At least in her eyes, he was extremely emotional.
âIs your head okay?â
âIâm fine.â
As they spoke, Jesseâs Adamâs apple moved slightly.
Nydia inexplicably reached out and touched his Adamâs apple.
With a crisp sound, Nydia exclaimed as Jesse knocked her hand away. He was still dazed, and had acted unconsciously just now.
âThatâs enough.â
âYou hit me so hard, my hand is swollen.â She was pitiful and aggrieved.
âWho told you to touch me?â
âWhatâs wrong with me touching my man?â
â⦠â¦â
Jesse just opened the door and went out.
Nydia followed him out.
As they had not arrived, no one had started eating yet.
âDaddy, Mommy, letâs eat.â
They sat down to eat. Dinner was prepared by the chef at home. As long as Nydia didnât cook, they tried their best to make delicious dishes, otherwise they were really worried about losing their jobs.
During the meal, everyone was relatively silent.
Nydia didnât feel like talking much because of her injuries. All she wanted to do now was to finish eating and talk to Tavish before going back to her room to lie down. The stinging pain in her back made her not want to do anything else.
When Tavish finished taking a shower, she went to the childrenâs bedroom. But as soon as Tavish saw her, he pulled the blanket over himself and didnât want to communicate with her.
âIf you donât want to see Mommy, then Mommy will talk to you through the blanket,â Nydia didnât force him to pull down the blanket.
âFirst of all, thank you, Tavish, for protecting Mommy when Grandpa and Grandma came,â she said. The person under the blanket moved slightly.
âAnd also, I want to apologize to Tavish because my past behavior caused trouble for you guys. Iâm sorry.â
At this point, Tavish lifted the blanket to look at Nydia and asked, âIs it true that youâre not divorcing Daddy?â
âYes, itâs true,â she answered Tavishâs question very seriously.
âThen do you still⦠like Barclay?â Tavish asked suddenly, which surprised Nydia. But she answered him, âIâve never liked Barclay before, not in the past, not now, and not in the future.â
âYouâre lying. Before, when you and Daddy were arguing, you said Barclay was so good and Daddy was not good!â Tavishâs face was full of anger, with furrowed brows.
âBefore, it was misunderstandings between Daddy and Mommy that caused us to argue and cold war frequently. Now we have clarified things. Do you feel that my relationship with Daddy is different now?â Nydia explained to Tavish.
Tavish lowered his gaze and seemed to be thinking about what had happened during this period of time. His long eyelashes drooped down, but the tips were slightly curled up, like a doll. His fair little face was chubby, and he looked like a cute little boy.
Nydia couldnât help but think that she had never realized how cute and delicate her son was. Although he was carved out of the same mold as Jesse, there were still some similarities to her. When he grows up more, he will be a handsome little guy.
Tavish looked up and met Nydiaâs gentle eyes. He was stunned and didnât expect Nydia to look at him so lovingly. His lips trembled, but he forgot what he wanted to say.
