Chapter 52
Reborn Before The Divorce
âI heard it,â She felt Ms. Garner was crazy to say that.
âOkay, please be my witness.â After that, Nydia left with the two kids.
Ms. Stone looked at Ms. Garner. Ms. Garner immediately became enraged. âYouâre the one who called, arenât you? What kind of brown-nosing is this? Youâre sucking up to the Pascalls, hoping for something in return!â
âWhat nonsense are you spouting?â Ms. Stone shot back.
âDonât think I donât know what youâre thinking. Nydia canât even keep herself out of trouble, and youâre brown-nosing the wrong people!â
Ms. Stone muttered something under her breath and left. Fortunately, the other children had already been taken away, or this incident would have had a much greater impact on them.
Nydia and the two children were in the car. Molly looked at Nydia excitedly and exclaimed, âMommy, mommy, you protected us again! Youâre amazing!â
âWhere did you learn those things you said earlier?â Nydia asked, amazed at her daughterâs loquaciousness.
âI didnât say anything wrong, did I?â Molly replied, slightly confused.
âNo, you didnât.â
Molly immediately brightened up.
Nydia thought to herself that it wasnât surprising that her children, who had been learning since they were two years old, were intelligent and articulate. With the intense pressure that children face these days, she didnât want to burden them with too much stress.
âIf you ever feel like youâre learning too much, just tell mommy. Children should have happy childhoods,â Nydia said.
âWeâre not stressed, we love learning, and Tavish and I learn quickly,â Molly replied.
Nydia then noticed that Tavish had been sitting quietly with a serious expression on his face the whole time.
âTavish, whatâs wrong?â Nydia reached out to touch Tavishâs head, but he avoided her, leaving her awkwardly suspended in mid-air.
He still had his head down, his hands clasped tightly together, his right hand gripping his left hand with visible force. Normally, a childâs hands would not show knuckles, but now they were visible. He was clearly trying hard to endure something.
âDid you get hurt when you fought with Danny just now?â Nydia asked softly.
âItâs none of your business!â Tavish replied, moving away from her and refusing to get closer.
Nydia felt a stabbing pain in her chest, which spread to her fingertips, making them numb and instantly cold. The distance that had just closed between her and Tavish was rapidly expanding again, and he was resisting her like a hedgehog, unwilling to let her get close.
âBrother, whatâs wrong with you?â Molly also noticed that something was not right. Why did her brother suddenly become unhappy?
âItâs nothing.â Tavishâs attitude toward Molly was still good, but he stopped talking after saying just two words.
After arriving home, Tavish got out of the car and ran into the house, with Nydia carrying Molly hurrying to catch up.
Just as they reached the bedroom door, there was a âbang,â and the door slammed shut, nearly hitting Molly.
Molly was also startled. âMommy, whatâs wrong with my brother?â
âBrother is probably in a bad mood.â Nydia put Molly down.
âMommy, let me go and comfort my brother. He listens to me.â
Molly stood at the door and talked to Tavish for a while, but he still wouldnât open the door, which made Molly very frustrated.
âIâm sorry, Mommy!â
