Chapter 367 Go for a Paternity Test!
Reborn Before The Divorce
Everyone ran to the window to have a look and found that it was indeed Jasper. Someone had already gone out to inquire about the situation. After about ten minutes, the person ran back and said, âItâs really Jasper. Heâs come to our company, but it seems like heâs gone to see Mr. Malone now.â
Nydia didnât expect Jasper to come directly to the Malone Group. What did he want? Based on her understanding of Jasper, he was a rich but foolish son of a landlord, with no scheming or sophistication, and he didnât care about his familyâs company. Now he had come to the company, which was a bit strange.
She thought about it and decided to call Jesse. âHey, Jasper has come to the Malone Group.â
âInteresting,â Jesse said, obviously surprised.
âIâm going to find out whatâs going on.â
âOkay.â
Nydia left the design department to find Willette. âSister, do you know that Jasper is here?â
Willette was stunned. âWhat? Jasperâs here?â
âYes, I just saw him come to the company. Heâs probably gone to see Uncle now.â
âIâll go see!â Willette hurried over, and Nydia followed.
When they entered Cadeâs office, they saw Jasper there, talking to Cade. When Jasper saw Willette, he immediately smiled, âWillette, long time no see.â
âWhat are you here for?â Willette immediately asked angrily.
âIâm here to talk to Mr. Malone about a cooperation. This is our proposal,â Jasper picked up the proposal to show that he wasnât lying, and that he hadnât come alone but with his companyâs people.
Willette didnât know what to say for a moment. âBut I donât know if Mr. Malone is willing to cooperate with you.â
Jasper smiled and looked at Cade. âBut it doesnât matter if Mr. Malone doesnât want to cooperate with me.â
At this point, Cadeâs face was a bit complicated. He had just looked at the proposal, and it was a good cooperation that was obviously beneficial to the Malone Group. However, Jasperâs identity was too awkward. If he cooperated with Jasper, it would be like humiliating Barclay.
Barclay had already been whitewashed, and Evansâ had returned to normal, so Cade naturally couldnât give up on Barclay as his son-in-law.
âIf Mr. Malone is not willing to cooperate with me, thatâs okay,â Jasper looked at Nydia and smiled slightly. âMrs. Pascall, I wonder if Mr. Pascall is willing to cooperate with me?â
Nydia didnât expect the fire to burn her. âIâm not sure. You have to talk to him yourself.â
Cade was suddenly anxious. âI didnât say Iâm unwilling. Itâs just that we need to have a meeting to discuss this project.â
âThatâs okay. But I donât have that much time to wait. You have one week to consider it,â Jasper looked a bit like a company executive now, not a playboy.
He looked at Willette again and said, âWillette, I have something to tell you.â
âI have nothing to say to you!â Willette said coldly.
However, Jasper was not in a hurry and asked, âDo you want me to say it here?â
Willetteâs face instantly turned pale and she looked panicked.
âJasper, what do you want to do? Are you trying to kill me?â She glared at Jasper with gritted teeth, her eyes warning him.
âNo, I just want to talk to you. The Ruiz family is much stronger than the Evans family, and Mr. Malone should be aware of that,â Jasper replied.
After a moment of thought, Cade said to Willette, âWillette, talk to Mr. Ruiz and clear up the misunderstanding. We should live our lives with integrity, and thereâs nothing to be afraid of.â
Nydia lowered her gaze to hide the mockery in her eyes.
She glanced at the safe in the office, which used fingerprint recognition to unlock. Her mind raced as she thought about how to get Cadeâs fingerprint.
âWillette, letâs go to your office to talk,â Jasper said.
Willette had no choice but to agree.
Nydia followed, but at the door, Willette didnât want her to come in and said, âNydia, Iâll talk to him. You go do something else.â
âSister, I think itâs better if I come in. If you two are alone in the office, it will be hard to explain if people find out. I can be a witness,â Nydia argued.
Willette hesitated, not wanting Nydia to find out about her and Jasper.
âLet Mrs. Pascall come in. Itâs good to have a witness,â Jasper said, not minding Nydiaâs presence.
The three of them went into the office.
Unable to bear the strange atmosphere, Willette spoke first. âWhat do you want to tell me?â
Jasper looked at Willetteâs belly and she instinctively covered it. She was three months pregnant and had been experiencing morning sickness, but hadnât shown her belly yet.
âI want to know if the baby in your belly is mine or Barclayâs,â Jasper stated his purpose directly. Willette almost lost her balance and had to be helped down by Nydia.
âOf course itâs Barclayâs!â Willette impatiently replied.
âIf the child is Barclayâs, then I wonât bother you anymore.â
âYou shouldnât have bothered me in the first place. Do you know how much Iâve suffered because of you during this time? You ruined my wedding and made me unable to live my life!â Willetteâs grievances grew as she spoke.
Now that she had finally stabilized her relationship with Barclay, she couldnât let Jasper ruin everything again.
Jasper looked remorseful.
âWillette, you know I love you. I certainly donât want you to be unhappy, but I couldnât bear to watch you marry Barclay. I was impulsive at the time, and I apologize to you.â
During the time he learned that Willette was going to marry Barclay, he had wanted to talk to her, but she avoided him and her family told him not to cause trouble. He was helpless, but then he suddenly received Willetteâs test report and learned that she was pregnant, and the timing was right. Thatâs why he rushed to the wedding like crazy.
âAs long as you donât bother me anymore, I wonât dwell on the past. We can still be friends in the future.â
Nydia: ââ¦â Is she still planning to string Jasper along?
âWillette, letâs do a paternity test.â Jasperâs words were like thunder striking the ground, causing Willetteâs eyes to see stars.
âWhat paternity test? How can I do a paternity test when I havenât even given birth yet?â Willette panicked.
âPregnant women can also do the test. Iâve already consulted about it. You come with me to do the paternity test. As long as the result shows that the child is not mine, then Iâll wish you happy marriage.â
Jasper seemed very confident that the child was his.
âAre you crazy? Iâm not going! If the child is not yours, why should I do a paternity test? Get out! I donât want to see you!â
Willetteâs attitude only made Jasper more convinced.
âSister, why donât you go do it? This way he will finally give up. Otherwise, he will keep bothering you and make brother-in-law suspicious. I donât want to see him hurt you,â Nydia said sadly.
âWhat did you say? Barclay bullied Willette?â Jasperâs reaction was suddenly very strong.
