Chapter 336 Jesse and Nydia Make a Bet

Nydia exclaimed and covered her mouth, “Twenty million? Sis, are you joking?”

“Do you not even have twenty million? What have you been doing all these years?” Willette said, her tone tinged with reproach.

“You know what I’ve been doing, sister. Are you having trouble with something? Did you use up all your savings?”

“Never mind that. If you don’t have it, borrow it from Jesse. Let him lend you twenty million first.”

“How could he lend it to me? We barely even talk now.”

“So you’re not going to help me then?” Willette’s face darkened. “Now that Barclay is in trouble and needs money, I’ve already put in all my money and it’s still not enough. That’s why I came to ask you. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have come to you. I’m pregnant now. Do you want the baby to be born without a father, or do you want me to lose the baby in misery and sorrow?”

“Really? You’re willing to think of a way? Nydia, I knew you were the best. You have to get twenty million as soon as possible!” Willette broke down in tears and hugged Nydia tightly.

Nydia could only nod and then left her sister’s office.

“Nydia, do you have time at noon? Do you remember the doctor from that pharmacy?”

“I remember, why?”

“I ran into her yesterday, and she asked if you could come to the pharmacy.”

“Okay.”

During lunch break, Nydia went to the pharmacy with Maddie.

“I’ll talk to this doctor first,” Nydia said.

Nydia and the doctor discussed for more than ten minutes and came up with a treatment plan. The doctor watched as Nydia administered the treatment using the silver needles from the shop, which proved to be effective.

After a few needles, the patient’s pain subsided, and he felt like he had encountered a miracle doctor.

Nydia taught the method to the doctor, who was grateful.

“The medicine you used is a bit unconventional, but upon further reflection, it does have this effect.”

“It’s because you trusted me.”

“Are you interested in working here?”

Nydia shook her head. “I’m too busy, but you can leave me your contact information. If you encounter any difficult medical cases, you can contact me.”

After work, Nydia returned home, with Jesse arriving shortly after.

“Willette asked me for twenty million today, and I told her I’ll figure something out.”

“Do you have twenty million?” Jesse asked.

“Do you dare to promise her then?” Jesse began to mock her again.

After speaking, she looked up at Jesse. “You’re not still suspecting that I’m siding with Willette and Barclay, are you?”

“No.”

Nydia snorted.

“We can lend them twenty million or even more.”

“Let Barclay use the company as collateral.”

Nydia asked tentatively, wanting to see if Jesse would get angry.
