Chapter 332 They got bullied
Reborn Before The Divorce
Nydia stared at Jesse, noticing the slight twitching of his facial muscles. She couldnât tell whether he was nervous or angry, but she suspected the latter.
âNo answer?â she asked.
Jesse remained silent, lips pursed, which surprised Nydia.
âI thought you couldnât stand being with me anymore? Why bother clinging on for over five years? Youâre right, I should let go of my obsession.â
His tone was mocking, tinged with a nameless desolation. It wasnât the kind of relief that one feels after releasing a burden, but rather like someone grasping at sand that kept slipping through their fingers, until there was only one grain left. Then, with a flick of his hand, he gave up on that last grain like he was giving up on everything.
âAs for whether youâll be with Zane or Barclay, I canât control that. Molly belongs to you, treat her well. But if I find out youâre treating her badly, I wonât let you or your man go.â
Nydia was dumbfounded. Jesse, who usually had intense emotions, spoke calmly. In her mind, these were not the words Jesse would say, or at least not in a state of calmness. If he had to say them, it would be during an emotional breakdown, or even in hysteria. How could he sound so calm?
Did he no longer love her?
Did he no longer care?
All those talks about letting go of obsession were bullshit. When you still loved someone, you couldnât let go. You would be voluntarily controlled by your own demons.
Nydia didnât know what to say. Her heart was in turmoil.
Did the medication start to work? Was Jesse slowly returning to normal?
âDo you have anything else to say?â Jesse asked.
âNo, no more. Iâll go first,â Nydia replied.
She didnât know how she made it back to her bedroom. Her mind was a mess.
Nydia always wondered about Jesseâs feelings towards her. He was fierce when he arrived, but suddenly changed when he left. She felt like she never had control.
She tossed and turned in bed, unable to sleep.
After a while, she thought it was okay. If the treatment worked, they could go their separate ways without owing each other anything. They didnât have to become enemies.
But her heart felt empty, like she lost something important.
She pressed her chest, trying to suppress the sourness, but couldnât shake it off.

Nydia was taking Molly and Tavish to school, and Jesse didnât object.
But she still asked, âHow did you think of sending them to school? Arenât you supposed to go to work?â
âSomebody bullied Molly at school, and I need to check it out,â Jesse replied.
âWho?â Jesse frowned.
âSherry. You should remember her. Her mother came to greet us during the last parent-child activity,â Nydia said.
Jesse remembered and nodded without saying anything.
âWhatâs their background? Why are they so arrogant?â Jesse asked.
âIâll go check,â Jesse said. He had never looked into the background of Sherryâs family before and hadnât paid much attention to them. But after hearing what Nydia said today, he decided to investigate.
âLetâs go first.â
Nydia took the two children to the kindergarten.
After they arrived, she was glad she came with them today.
âMrs. Pascall, why are you bringing your children to school today?â Mrs. Hussain was surprised to see Nydia, but quickly adjusted her expression and asked. However, there was no smile on her face this time, probably because she didnât want to be insincere.
âWhy do I need to report to you about what I do?â Nydia found it satisfying to speak like Jesse sometimes.
Mrs. Hussainâs face stiffened, but soon a touch of ridicule appeared. âOf course you donât need to report to me about what you do. However, since your daughter bullied my daughter, I have to ask for an explanation.â
âOh? Is that so? Molly, did you bully Sherry?â Nydia asked Molly with a stern expression.
âNo, it was Sherry who cheated and didnât fulfill the bet. She hit me first, and I was just defending myself!â Molly said.
âMrs. Hussain, did you hear that?â
âChildren joking around with each other is normal. Your daughter not only insulted my daughter but hit her so hard that Sherry has several bruises on her arms and legs. Here are some photos. Donât say they are fake.â Mrs. Hussain took out her phone and showed several pictures of bruises on Sherryâs arms and legs.
âThatâs not right. My daughter said Sherry ran over and hit her first, and she just pushed her lightly. Sherry fell, and she didnât hit her anymore. How come there are so many bruises? Could it be that you guys hurt her and then blamed my daughter?â Nydia asked.
âHow could that be? Donât try to argue here!â Mrs. Hussain was angry, but Nydia remained calm. âIf the beating was really that severe yesterday, why didnât Sherry tell the teacher? Teachers, do you know about this?â
The teachers shook their heads, indicating that they didnât know about the incident.
âBecause the teachers always side with Molly and Tavish, thatâs why I didnât speak up!â Sherry yelled, tears in her eyes, looking very indignant.
âWhere is the evidence? Use evidence to prove that the injuries on your body were caused by my daughter.â
Sherry and her mother were momentarily speechless.
In fact, Mrs. Hussain didnât expect Nydia to come today. She had originally thought that it would be a simple matter to come over and seek justice for her child, but with Nydia here, things became complicated.
âCan you tell the teacher what happened yesterday?â the teacher asked the children in the class.
âTeacher, Sherry and Molly made a bet and Sherry lost. Sherry didnât learn how to bark like a dog, so we called Sherry a stinky egg. She got angry and wanted to hit Molly. Molly pushed her away, but she got up and hit her again. Declan went over to grab Molly, and Mollyâs face was scratched.â
âYes, thatâs exactly what happened. We all saw it.â
At this moment, a male voice suddenly shouted, âWho called my daughter a stinky egg? Who? Damn it, do you deserve a beating?â
The children were scared by this deep voice.
A big man suddenly appeared next to Sherry, scaring the children with his tough look.
âDaddy, itâs them. They bullied me. This girl, Molly, often hits me.â Sherry complained, pointing at Molly and crying.
Xavier immediately glared at Molly. âYou bully my daughter?â
He reached out to grab Molly, but Nydia immediately stood in front of her.
âWhat are you doing!â she scolded loudly.
Xavier was about to get angry, but when he saw Nydia, he was stunned.
âDad, you have to revenge me.â Sherry said seeing that her father was not in a hurry.
âAre you the kidâs mother?â Xavier asked after clearing his throat.
âAre you Sherryâs father?â Nydia asked.
âYes!â Xavier flipped his hair, looking very handsome. âI warn you, donât bully my daughter, or I wonât be polite!â
âItâs your daughter who bullied my daughter, and sheâs full of lies!â
âHow dare you talk like that!â Xavier was not happy, although he felt that Nydia was not giving him face.
âPlease show some manners,â Nydia said coldly.
Xavier spat directly, âApologize to my daughter right now, and weâll forget about this. Otherwiseâ¦â
âItâs impossible. Your whole family is crooked and immoral!â
âSay it again, you f*ckingâ¦â Xavier got angry and pushed Nydia. The force was so strong that Nydia fell to the ground, twisting her ankle and wincing in pain.
âYou bitch, canât you be nicerâ¦â
Xavier was about to teach Nydia a lesson, but suddenly, a chair hit him hard in the back.
