Chapter 326 Family of Four Sleeping Together
Reborn Before The Divorce
Jesseâs words left Nydia and the two children stunned. Nydia was annoyed by what he said.
âDaddy, why would you say that?â Tavish was the first to respond.
Jesse shrugged without answering, but his expression made it clear.
Nydia didnât want to argue with Jesse in the car, so she remained silent.
âDaddy, do you want to be with us?â Molly asked. She blinked her big eyes, full of childlike innocence and charm.
Nydia thought Molly handled the situation well and threw the question back at Jesse.
âIf itâs raining heavily, weâll be scared. We need Daddyâs protection!â Tavish said.
âProtection? Daddy canât protect you,â he glanced at his own legs, knowing that he would be a burden in case of an emergency.
âWhy not? If weâre with Daddy, we wonât be afraid. Plus, weâre not going out, weâre just staying at home. No matter how much it storms outside, our home is safe, right Mommy?â
Nydia sighed. The two children had been worrying about this family a lot. It was the reason why they were more mature than other children their age, having to bear too much at a young age.
âOkay, Tavish is right. Whatever happens, weâll stay together as a family of four,â she gently patted Tavishâs head and said softly.
Jesse was stunned by her words and looked at Nydia in disbelief.
âMommy, Daddy, when Molly and I grow up, weâll protect you,â Tavish took Jesseâs hand and placed it on Nydiaâs back, âDaddy, you have to hold Mommyâs hand all the time. No matter what happens, you canât let go of Mommyâs hand.â
Jesse and Nydiaâs hands both shrunk at the same time, but Tavishâs hand was pressed on top of theirs, so their movements were not significant. As a result, Jesseâs hand was still on top of Nydiaâs.
Both of their hands were cold, but when they were together, they miraculously produced warmth. However, their faces were not very natural.
They almost simultaneously thought of the harsh words they had said before, promising to divorce after three months. But now, it had been less than three months, and they didnât know how to explain it to the children.
Molly and Tavish had a good relationship, and it would be too hurtful for them to separate.
Nydia hung her head, hiding the bitterness in her eyes.
When they arrived home, the car was parked in the garage. The Pascallâs villa was in a higher location, and there was some water accumulation, but not severe. To ensure safety, Nydia had raised the carâs height, so everything was secure.
âYou go take a shower first,â Jesse said to Nydia.
This surprised Nydia that Jesse took the initiative to talk to her. However, she did need a shower and didnât say much, so she went to take a shower. She had felt uncomfortable with her pants wet, but felt much better after taking a hot shower. They all sat together to have dinner.
âMommy will make delicious food for you tomorrow.â
âYay! Mommy will be home tomorrow, and Daddy will be here too! Itâs been so long since weâve had this, Iâm so happy!â Mollyâs happiness was written all over her face, and Tavishâs mouth curved slightly upward.
After dinner, Nydia helped the two children with their studies. Nydia noticed that Tavish had a wide range of interests and was reading many books. At the moment, he was studying a world map.
âWere you as smart as Tavish when you were a child?â Nydia couldnât help but ask Jesse.
This surprised Jesse that Nydia took the initiative to speak to him, and even asked about his childhood.
âYeah,â he replied.
âWere you smarter than Tavish or dumber than Tavish?â
What did this woman want?
âOf course, I was smarter than him.â
Nydia chuckled, âWe donât know anything about your childhood, we can only listen to you bragging.â
âIs there a need for that?â
âNo, no need. We believe you, right, Molly, Tavish?â
âYeah, we believe in Daddy!â The two children nodded vigorously.
â⦠obviously, they donât believe it!â Nydia said skeptically.
Just then, a bolt of lightning as thick as a bowl struck down with a deafening thunder, scaring the two children.
Tavish threw himself into Nydiaâs arms, and Molly threw herself into Jesseâs arms. Jesse froze, apparently not expecting Molly to jump into his arms. He held Molly tightly and said, âItâs okay, itâs just thunder and lightning, itâs just a weather phenomenon.â
Hearing this, Nydia couldnât help but roll her eyes, âYou should say, âDonât be afraid, Daddy is here, no matter what happens, Daddy will protect you,â and comfort her, donât you think?â
Jesse pursed his lips and said nothing, apparently being mocked.
âDaddy and Mommy, can we sleep together tonight? Iâm so scared!â Molly looked up at him from his arms and asked.
âSure!â Nydia answered for Jesse. âIâm going to sleep with the kids anyway. If you donât want to, itâs okay.â
This was obviously intentionally provoking Jesse.
At bedtime, the four of them lay on the big bed.
âDaddy and Mommy, we havenât slept together for a long time. Iâm not afraid of anything now and feel very safe!â Molly was extremely happy.
Tavish climbed up from the middle and slept on the side.
âBrother, why did you sleep on the side?â
âItâs uncomfortable to sleep in the middle. I like to sleep on the side. Do you want to come over? You can sleep between me and Mommy.â
Molly looked at Mommy and then at her brother, and thought the suggestion was good. She immediately crawled over to sleep. As a result, there was no distance between Jesse and Nydia, which made them both somewhat uncomfortable.
And Nydia felt that Tavish did it on purpose.
She turned her back to Jesse and faced the two children.
There was enough space between the two for two adults to squeeze in, showing how far apart they were.
âDaddy, why are you so far away from Mommy? How can you protect us like this?â Tavish disagreed.
Jesse bit his cheek and moved forward, closing the distance between him and Nydia.
The rain was tapping outside. They thought it would be noisy, but the family of four fell asleep exceptionally soundly.
Nydia woke up at three in the morning and breathed a sigh of relief. She was afraid she wouldnât wake up if she didnât set an alarm.
It would be a week when they finished the job today. She could clearly feel that Jesseâs legs were looking better after one month of perseverance. However, she didnât know if Jesse would become suspicious at that time.
The next morning, when they woke up, it wasnât raining anymore.
âMommy, it seems like itâs not raining anymore.â
âMommy thinks it will rain again. Itâs just taking a break.â
Nydia was confident when she said that, because in her past life, this rain caught people off guard. It was because it stopped for a few hours halfway through, making everyone think that the heavy rain was over and not so nervous anymore. As a result, a heavy rain came with a rare amount of rainfall.
It was a major disaster that killed many people and caused heavy losses.
She couldnât change history, but she could tell the people close to her about this and avoid unnecessary losses as much as possible.
Sure enough, a few hours later, it began to rain heavily again.
At night, the power suddenly went out with a âpop,â and the entire villa fell into darkness.
