Chapter 318 Cuckolded
Reborn Before The Divorce
âThere was a small interruption, Iâm sorry. Letâs continue with the wedding!â Barclay said in a low voice.
Both families breathed a sigh of relief. After all, this wedding was of great significance. If it were to end like this, who knows what would happen.
Now that Barclay said to continue, it suggests that Jasperâs words may have been false, just to ruin the wedding.
Jesse gestured with his hand, and Vergil immediately came over and bent down to listen to Jesseâs instructions.
After speaking a few words in a low voice, Vergil left. However, he did not leave the scene but called the head of the security team, Frederick.
Nydia looked at Jesse and then looked away. She felt that todayâs events were likely Jesseâs doing. After all, Jesse was a person who always sought revenge. He had been wanting to do something to Willette, but he had been hesitant because of what she had said, not to stir up trouble.
Now that Jasper had appeared as a scapegoat, it was undoubtedly the best opportunity.
The wedding continued, but everyoneâs mood was different. Especially the people from the Evans family, they all had a gloomy face throughout.
Willette was very nervous and uneasy. She tried her best to conceal it, but it was still noticeable.
After the wedding, the guests left one after another.
Nydia and Jesse were about to leave with their two children when Willette called out to Nydia, âNydia, donât go!â
Her eyes were pleading.
Cade came forward, âNydia, accompany Willette to the bridal chamber. Todayâs events must have upset her.â
Just as Nydia was thinking about how to refuse, Jesseâs voice sounded, âWhat are you still standing there for? Go back!â
His voice was very fierce, and Nydia pretended to be scared, looking guilty as she looked at Cade and Willette.
âJesse, todayâs situation is special, so why donât you-â
âWhat? Youâre not satisfied with just being involved with another man, you want to drag my wife down with you?â Jesse sneered unceremoniously, âWillette, you seem to have forgotten about the resort incident.â
Willette was so scared that she immediately closed her mouth and dared not say anything more.
Cade was about to say something, but Willette stopped him, shaking her head to signal him to stop.
Jesse left with Nydia and their two children.
Once they were in the car, Nydia asked, âDid you do this?â
Jesse didnât say anything, his face was cold.
Nydia felt that he had tacitly agreed.
Meanwhile, Tavish was sitting comfortably in his chair, looking out the window at the passing streetlights. Compared to the relaxed atmosphere over here, things were not looking good for Willette over there. After the guests had all left, the Evans family surrounded Willette and started to settle scores.
âWhatâs going on here? Willette, are you having an affair with another man?â Mrs. Evans felt humilated, and now everyone was mocking her son for being cuckolded.
âNo, really. Itâs just that Jasper keeps bothering me. Iâve told him many times not to bother me, but he just wants to cause trouble for me. I didnât expect him to be like this today. Mom, Iâ¦â
âDonât call me mom!â Mrs. Evans shouted in a stern voice.
Laura couldnât stand it and retorted coldly, âWhat do you mean? Is this Willetteâs fault? Itâs Jasperâs problem. Willette has nothing to do with Jasper. What can she do when heâs crazily accusing her?â
âJasper is a decent person. If your daughter didnât have anything to do with him, would he come and cause trouble?â
âEveryone knows that Jasper is unreliable. Just because of a few words from him, you treat my daughter like this? If you donât want to go through with this marriage, we donât care!â
âFine, then divorce! We canât afford such a daughter-in-law!â Mrs. Evans used to like Willette, but now she just gets angry every time she sees her and doesnât want her to enter the family.
âMomâ¦â Willette was about to cry. How did things turn out like this?
She still felt like the most beautiful and happiest bride, but now she was facing divorce?
âGet divorced tomorrow!â
Cade and Mr. Evans didnât say anything, but their faces didnât look good either.
The two familiesâ union was a win-win situation, and now it wasnât what either family wanted to see.
âAlright, stop talking about it. This has nothing to do with Willette. Itâs Jasperâs fault for acting like a mad dog. Weâve been busy all day and are tired. Letâs go back first.â Finally, Barclay spoke up.
Willette looked at Barclay in shock. She didnât expect him to believe her, and she was immediately moved to tears.
âBarclay!â
âBarclay! You!â Mrs. Evans was so angry that she felt her son was brainless!
âOkay, stop talking. They know what happened themselves. Let them go back and calm down. Even if they want to get divorced, itâll be a Monday thing. Letâs all disperse.â Mr. Evans spoke up. âYou two can go back to your wedding room by yourselves.â
They donât want to get involved, please leave them alone!
âOkay, then weâll leave first. You guys can go home too,â Barclay glanced at Willette, and she quickly followed.
Mrs. Evans and Laura looked at each other and hummed.
Willette felt quite happy on the way back with Barclay, feeling relieved that he believed her.
The beautiful wedding was ruined, and the thought of it made her furious.
How did Jasper know she was pregnant? Only Nydia and her parents knew about it, right?
Could it be Nydia who told Jasper?
The more she thought about this possibility, the more she felt it was Nydia who did it.
They arrived at the wedding room.
Willette took off her high heels and put on cotton slippers, feeling very comfortable.
âOn this day, itâsâ¦â
Before she could finish her sentence, Barclay suddenly turned around and slapped her in the face, the crisp sound directly stunning Willette.
Barclay stared at her with a dark look in his eyes, like a poisonous snake.
âBarclay, youâ¦â She covered her face, looking at him incredulously.
âThe baby in your belly is Jasperâs?â His voice was chilling, and Willette shuddered as she listened.
She desperately shook her head.
âNo, no, itâs yours, really itâs yours. I have nothing to do with Jasper, really nothing!â
âIs that so?â
âYes, really nothing to do with him. You have to believe me! Heâs crazy, you canât believe his words!â
Barclay coldly sneered, âWillette, do you really think I donât know anything? I thought you were just flirting with Jasper, but I didnât expect you to even get pregnant with his child. Youâre really something!â
Willetteâs face changed drastically, she was still shaking her head. âNo! This child is yours, it has nothing to do with Jasper. We have nothing to do with each other. That time before, it was just an accident when I got drunk and he took advantage of meâ¦â
Smack!
Another slap!
The force made Willette almost lose her balance and fall to the ground. She felt her ears buzzing.
Her cheeks were sore and numb.
Barclay opened the drawer and took out a stack of photos, throwing them at Willetteâs face.
âNo relationship? Then what were you guys doing? Talking about work?â Willetteâs face was very painful from the photos hitting her, but when she looked at them scattered on the ground, her face turned pale. The photos were all of her and Jasper taking pictures together.
When she looked back at Barclay, her face showed a look of horror.
The next second, Barclay grabbed her by the neck. âWillette, you really cuckolded me!â
