Chapter 226
Reborn Before The Divorce
Jesse continued eating noodles. âLet me finish eating first.â
âIf you think thereâs a problem, then donât eat it,â Nydia replied with an attitude. She was already angry and couldnât believe he dared to say that.
âAlthough there is a problem, it is edible.â
Nydia gritted her teeth. She felt that Jesse was doing it on purpose and immediately stood up and left, too lazy to stay any longer.
âStop!â Jesse yelled, but Nydia ignored him and went straight back to her room, closing the door behind her.
If she hadnât thought about waking up the two children, she would have slammed the door.
Jesse wasnât stupid. He knew Nydia was definitely not happy, but he didnât know why.
It all started from the time in the car. After finishing eating, he called someone to clean up and then went to knock on Nydiaâs door.
There was no response.
âAre you going to open the door, or should I have someone kick it down?â he asked patiently.
âKick it down if you want, but if you break it, youâll fix it yourself.â
Just as Jesse was thinking about what to do, the door opened and Nydia stood in front of him with a cold face.
âSpeak up, or shut up!â
Seeing Nydia like this, Jesse seemed to be back in the same situation as before. She always spoke to him like this and provoked him. Not only did she not speak softly, but she also kept her distance.
He immediately realized that he had helped her get to know Albi and set her up with Cade, so he no longer had any use for her.
Thinking of this, his face instantly turned cold, and his eyes showed a hint of disgust. He turned his wheelchair to leave.
This made Nydia furious. Was that all the man was good for? Couldnât he say a few nice words?
âJesse, are you sick?!â she yelled at his back.
Jesse slowly turned around, âAm I sick? Did you just find out today?â His voice was ice-cold, like a poisonous snake crawling up her arm. The damp, cold feeling made Nydia quiver.
She realized something was wrong. âOf course, I didnât just find out. I not only know that youâre sick, but I also know that youâre unpredictable, you have double standards, and you only allow yourself to lose your temper but not others!â Nydia continued to yell and walked closer to Jesse. âCanât you see that Iâm not happy? Canât you comfort me?â
Before Jesse could say anything, she continued, âIf you canât see it, then congratulations, youâre dumber than I am!â
Nydia ranted on and on, and Jesse didnât interrupt her once.
âDo you want to know why Iâm not happy? Think about it!â
â⦠â This woman was so noisy. If it werenât for his physical limitations, he would have shut her up.
Nydia left after venting, closing the door behind her once again.
Seeing Jesseâs confused expression made her feel better.
Whoever made him so unpredictable, sometimes treating her well, sometimes leaving with a cold face, sometimes sleeping with her, sometimes telling her not to enter his room!
Jesse stood still and cursed softly before calling Julia over. âDid anything unusual happen to Madam last night?â He didnât have much hope, thinking how could Julia see Nydiaâs anomaly.
But Juliaâs answer stunned him. âI saw Madam sitting here crying last night.â
âCrying?â
âYes, crying while eating cake and then she went into the room after eating.â
Jesse could imagine that scene, feeling a tightness in his chest, a fine pain spreading.
He remembered when he went to the room and told her not to come in, she just responded without any extra movement.
No wonder she was lazy at breakfast this morning.
