Chapter 169
Reborn Before The Divorce
But Nydia caught him.
âWerenât you the one who said my hand was injured? Donât you want to take responsibility?â She gave him a threatening look and put the food in front of him. âFeed me!â
But is Jesse the kind of person who is easily compromised?
He frowned and said disdainfully, âIf you have an injury with an open wound right now, Iâll feed you!â
Oh, man, are you trying to provoke me?
If I back down, Iâm not Nydia!
She looked around and didnât find a suitable tool. So, she bit her finger hard, feeling the pain and the taste of blood in her mouth.
Then she endured the pain and put her finger in front of Jesse. âThe wound!â
A drop of blood slowly oozed out of the wound.
â⦠â It hurts!
Seeing Jesseâs stunned expression, Nydia felt both happy and painful. She liked seeing Jesse with different emotions, rather than his cold or violent side.
âFeed me,â she smiled proudly.
Jesse threw a piece of tissue at her hand. âCover it up, Iâm getting dizzy!â
Ha!
Jesse, do you have to be so cute?
Too proud!
Nydia wiped away the bloodstains with a tissue and pressed on the wound through the tissue.
Jesse took her the bowl and really fed her.
Obviously, someone was doing this for the first time, and it was awkward and unfamiliar.
âSlower, I canât keep up!â He fed her like he was feeding a pig, not stopping at all. He was like an emotionless feeding machine.
Nydiaâs mouth was full and she was both anxious and aggrieved. A grain of rice even stuck to the corner of her mouth. Her delicate eyebrows were furrowed, and her watery eyes accused him of his wrongdoing!
âIf you eat this slowly, youâll starve to death if youâre in a famine year.â He said disdainfully, but his feeding slowed down.
âI want to eat that shrimp.â
Jesse patiently picked it up and gave it to her, but she didnât open her mouth.
âDonât you peel it?â
â⦠â He wanted to press her head into the plate!
She shook her injured finger.
Jesse had no choice but to peel the shrimp.
âHoney, do you think Iâll die from losing too much blood?â
Jesse looked at the shrimp in his hand and then at Nydiaâs fake expression. He suppressed the impulse to throw the shrimp in her face. As wasting food was shameful, he just couldnât bear to waste it.
âIâll have someone take you to the hospital later.â
âThis kind of injury canât be cured by a doctor, only a kiss can make it better.â
Jesse couldnât take it anymore and forcefully stuffed the peeled shrimp into her mouth.
Shut the hell up!
He wiped his hands and turned to leave.
Nydia quickly bit the shrimp and quickly chewed it twice before swallowing it.
âWillette left in a hurry because her tweet was trending. This is what she tweeted.â
She knew when to stop. If she continued to make a scene, Jesse would not indulge her anymore.
Just talk about business.
She handed him the phone.
Jesseâs hands still smelled of shrimp and he didnât want to touch anything, so he had Nydia hold the phone for him to see.
âShe posted this herself?â
âI donât know, she didnât seem to have her phone just now. But itâs not clear. I suspect it was a big sockpuppet mistake.â
Jesse fell into deep thought.
He was already prepared to deal with Willette, but it seemed that she had failed in her plan.
âI thought you did this at first, but apparently not. And it seems like she just found out about it too.â
Something was strange about this.
Either it was a hacked account, or a mistake in switching accounts.
âWhat does Willette mean by posting this tweet? Does she still like you?â
Jesse glanced at her, feeling the conclusion was ridiculous.
But Nydia, with her chin propped up, said sadly, âMr. Pascall, you are really popular. One ex-fiancée and one beautiful psychiatrist both like you. And me, a poor little girl that nobody wants.â She pouted, almost crying.
