Chapter 14

In the bathroom.

Nydia and Julia were giving Molly a bath.

“Mommy, you look so great today, you’ve stunned me,” Molly made a surprised expression on purpose, her round eyes widened, her small mouth opened, and she even blinked twice, especially cute.

“Is it that exaggerated?” She talked to Molly while rubbing her back.

Molly nodded vigorously, “Yes, yes, my brother and I are ready to fight the fat pig’s mother.”

“Can you beat her?”

“We can beat her. We are very powerful. I have great strength. If you don’t believe it, I’ll show you.”

Before Nydia could react, she saw Molly clench her fist and violently hit the water’s surface, splashing Nydia and Julia with countless water droplets.

“Ah, you little rascal, Mommy and Julia got wet.”

“Then let’s take a bath together, but you guys can’t grab the little yellow duck with me.” She hugged the little yellow duck in her arms.

“That’s not fair, I have to grab it!” Nydia reached over to tickle her, and she giggled and dodged around in the bathtub.

Julia didn’t say much. She had been tense the whole time, afraid that Nydia might do something that would harm Molly, but now the whole process was warm and cozy.

Why was her lady different from before?

It seemed that she had become much gentler, and her face had more smiles.

“All done. The little duck is coming out now.”

Nydia wrapped Molly in a towel and dried her hair and body, then changed her into clean pajamas.

“Molly is so pretty.”

“Because Daddy and Mommy are good-looking, that’s why Molly is good-looking.”

“Who taught you that?”

“The teacher told us about inheritance in class. My brother and I inherited from Daddy. If we’re naughty and don’t listen, that’s inheritance too.”

“You little rascal, that’s the point.”

She lightly tapped Molly’s nose, “Come on, blow dry your hair, and then you can go play.”

Molly’s hair was soft and silky, and it dried quickly. Nydia blew her hair until it was about 80% dry before letting her go play.

“Daddy, Daddy, I’m done with my bath.” Molly ran happily to the study, climbed onto Jesse’s lap and hugged his neck with both hands, leaning against him and asking softly, “Daddy, does Molly smell good?”

“Well, you smells good.” He looked at Molly and couldn’t help but think of Nydia.

Although the two children were twins, Molly looked more like Nydia, while Tavish was more like him.

“Daddy, taking a bath is so comfortable, let Mommy give you a bath too.”

Jesse cleared his throat lightly, “Daddy is an adult and can take a bath by myself.”

Molly tilted her head and scratched her head with her pinky finger, as if suddenly realizing something. “Daddy, is it because you’re a boy that you’re shy?”

Jesse was still thinking about how to answer the question when Molly asked again, “But mommy is your wife, why are you still shy?”

“…” Help!

At that moment, someone knocked on the door of the study.

Nydia opened the door and stood outside. “Molly, it’s time to go to bed. Don’t disturb daddy while he’s working, okay?”

“Mommy, we were talking about that mommy helps daddy take a bath, and daddy said he’s shy.”

“?” I didn’t say that, I’m not shy, you’re making things up!

Nydia picked up Molly from Jesse’s arms, her fingers touching his shoulder and waist, causing his body to tense momentarily.

And when she glanced at him, there seemed to be a hint of teasing in her eyes.

Was it his imagination?

How could she possibly be teasing him? She just wanted to stay away from him!

“Let’s go to bed and say goodnight to daddy.”

“Goodnight, daddy.”

“Goodnight.”

Nydia took Molly back to her room and told them a bedtime story. Tavish didn’t say much, but he didn’t chase her out either, which was a big improvement for her.

When she came out of the children’s room, she happened to see Jesse coming out of the study. She knew it was his habit, he usually came out of the study when he was planning to take a bath and rest.

Sure enough, his assistant had already prepared everything for him.

He was a person with a strong sense of self-esteem, and even if his legs were not convenient, he would not let his assistant help him take a bath.

As she walked past, the assistant was surprised, and she heard her calling through the bathroom door, “Jesse, do you need a bath service?”

Then there was a “clank” sound.

Nydia and the assistant were immediately very worried and rushed in.

The result was that Jesse was sitting comfortably in the bathtub, and there was a bar of soap lying quietly on the floor.

Oh dear…

Due to the height of the bathtub, Nydia could only see Jesse’s strong chest and partially exposed abs. She never thought about looking at Jesse’s upper body before, especially considering his legs were not functional.

“Get out!” Jesse coldly ordered.

Nydia and the assistant made eye contact with him and saw a hint of anger. They immediately left the bathroom.

“Prepare shower gel for him next time, soap is not safe,” Nydia told her assistant.

“Okay, ma’am.” But there was already shower gel in the bathroom.

“Just watch over and call me if there’s anything wrong.”

“Yes, ma’am. Please go ahead with your tasks.”

The assistant was puzzled from the moment Nydia came out of the bathroom, especially when she mentioned “bath service.” Was it just dropping the soap?

Every time Jesse took a shower, he was guarded at the door. However, this kind of situation had not occurred in a long time.

Could it be that the sentence just now stimulated him?

Was it because his wife was unexpectedly interested in his bathing habits and physical appearance?

After returning to the room, Nydia took out a cookbook and marked the dishes she planned to make tomorrow night. She wanted to show off her cooking skills to Jesse and the children.

After organizing the cookbook, she put all her medical books and notes on the table. Currently, it was difficult to completely heal Jesse’s legs through conventional medical treatment. At most, it could only be improved. Therefore, she needed to study traditional Chinese acupuncture. When she was studying under her teacher, her teacher had successfully treated a patient with leg injuries that had lasted for several years.

She needed to study and research more before discussing with her teacher. It was important to understand Jesse’s current condition. To better understand his leg injury, she needed to give Jesse a bath or wash his feet.
