Chapter 134
Reborn Before The Divorce
âMommy, whatâs wrong with you?â Molly immediately stopped eating and looked at Nydia with concern.
âIâm feeling unwell. I will go and rest first. You guys eat well.â She didnât have much of an appetite now, and she would ask the chef to make some food later.
âMommy, why are you feeling unwell? Mommy, squat down and let me touch your forehead.â
Nydiaâs knees couldnât really bend down. It was already painful just standing.
âMolly, I donât have a fever. I just donât have an appetite.â
Mollyâs eyes widened in excitement.
âNo appetite? Does that mean thereâs a baby in your belly?â
The whole family was shocked!
The most shocked was Rosalind. Pregnant? She looked at Jesse, but his face remained calm.
âJulia, help Nydia go back to her room.â
Nydia was stunned. Should she explain or not? Julia had come over to help her up.
Molly was pulled by Tavish to eat properly before going to find her mother. âBrother, do you think the new baby is a boy or a girl? Should we bet? I guess itâs a boy, you guess itâs a girl!â
ââ¦â
Jesse sternly said, âMolly, eat!â
Molly immediately lowered her head to eat, but a bit as she wanted to finish and see Nydia.
âMy little angel, eat slower, or youâll choke later,â Rosalind worriedly said. Jesse looked over, and Molly slowed down her eating speed. At times like this, Molly was afraid of Jesse. When Jesse criticized her and made her write a self-criticism, she could act as âDaddyâ for five seconds!
Nydia was helped by Julia to the room. âJulia, help me,â Nydia asked Julia to pull down her pants as she had trouble doing it herself. âMissus, thisâ¦â Julia saw that both of Nydiaâs knees were bruise.
âUse the medicinal oil to help me rub it,â Nydia said.
âOkay, Iâll go get it,â Julia replied.
Nydia touched her knee, feeling the pain.
She had probably been kneeling for more than half an hour. If Jesse came back late, her knees would definitely be in trouble.
âMissus, please bear with it,â Julia said.
She thought she could endure the pain, but Julia rubbed the medicinal oil on her knees a few times, and it hurt too much.
âJulia, forget it. Let it be. It will heal on its own,â Nydia refused.
âMissus, if you donât rub it, it will heal very slowly, andâ¦â Julia explained.
âItâs too painful,â Nydia rejected.
Julia had no choice and thought for a moment before saying, âThen let me use a hot towel to apply on it.â
âOkay, thank you,â Nydia agreed.
Juliaâs attitude towards her now was not bad. She wasnât as guarded as before. At least just now, she seemed to be quite concerned about her.
During dinner that day, the two children ate quickly, and Jesse finished his meal and let them go to Nydiaâs room. Rosalind spoke up, âThis dish is just average.â
âThen eat less,â Jesse retorted.
â⦠â She felt like her son was targeting her.
She put down her chopsticks and wiped her mouth, but her gaze fell on the muffin. It was soft and chewy, with the fragrance of vegetables, and tasted good. However, at the thought that it was made by Nydia, she suppressed her desire to eat.
âIs she pregnant?â Rosalind asked.
âI donât know.â
âYouâre her man, and you donât know?â Rosalind asked.
âItâs not like I have her menstrual cycle,â Jesse replied.
â⦠â She cursed at her disobedient son.
Jesseâs words had made Rosalind too angry to speak.
