Chapter 132
Reborn Before The Divorce
Jesse controlled the wheelchair and went over, bending over to hold her waist and help her up.
She leaned on him, making a âhissâ sound in her mouth. Her knees couldnât straighten and were very painful.
âYou should take care of Nydia more often. Look at her delicate appearance. Jesse will be worried.â Rosalind looked very unhappy at Nydiaâs appearance.
Just kneeling for a while, now sheâs lying on Jesse and canât get up? Itâs obviously intentional.
âWhat are you still standing there for? Go and help Nydia up.â
The servants hurried over to help Nydia up. Nydia stood up, but she knew her knees wouldnât look good even though she was wearing long pants.
Jesse glanced at the confession letter on the coffee table.
âMom, did Molly teach you to always make me write confession letters?â
âWhat? Did Molly make you write confession letters?â Rosalind was surprised.
âSometimes when Iâm angry at her or when I donât do what I promised, she makes me write a confession letter.â
Rosalind was choked for a while and didnât know what to say. She could only smile and say, âSo, you canât fool kids. You have to take it seriously. You should learn from your mistakes and not write them again.â
âItâs because you taught Molly to make me write confession letters. Otherwise, I wouldnât have to write them. Will Molly make me kneel and write again next time? I canât kneel with these legs.â
Rosalindâs face instantly turned pale, and her muscles trembled slightly with anger.
She didnât speak for a while, the breath stuck in her chest like a burning fire, which would explode if she couldnât control it.
Her rapidly rising blood pressure made her head ache severely.
But she was still forcefully suppressed by her.
âMolly is a good child who is considerate, just like you,â said Rosalind, smiling at Nydia who was sitting in the chair. Nydia felt a sting in her heart.
Rosalind then gave another smile and looked at Nydia, âDidnât you say before that you can cook and your cooking is good? Let me taste it today.â
Nydia met her gaze and knew that today was a showdown between her and her mother-in-law. However, before she could speak, Jesse spoke first, âI donât want to eat her cooking.â
Rosalind was so angry that she wanted to beat Jesse, but she held back. How could he defend Nydia like this? Did he forget the harm Nydia had done to him before?
âThen you can eat the chefâs food, and Iâll eat hers,â she insisted that Nydia cook this meal today.
âArenât you afraid sheâll poison you?â Jesseâs voice became cold, apparently angry with Rosalindâs behavior today.
Just when Rosalind couldnât stand it anymore and was about to reprimand Jesse, Nydia spoke up to ease the tension. âMom, you donât come often. Let me cook for you. Just tell me what you like and Iâll see if I have the ingredients in the kitchen. If not, I canât make it. Itâs too late to go out and buy now. Iâm afraid youâll be hungry.â She explained everything in one breath, leaving Rosalind no room to criticize her.
âJust make whatever you can,â Rosalind agreed.
âOkay, Iâll go now.â Nydia hobbled towards the kitchen with stiff and painful knees. She knew she had to get through today with Rosalind and ease her guilt.
The living room suddenly became quiet. Neither Rosalind nor Jesse spoke. But Rosalind underestimated her sonâs aura. She was out of breath.
