Chapter 18

Fact no.17: I love Ferris wheels

and we hated

NOAH

April kisses me.

Her kiss is nothing like I felt before. It's all I've ever wanted. Her lips on mine, her tongue, my hand in her hair.

As I kiss her, I show her all the passion I can. All the passion I have for her. She's the one my heart has longed for so much time. She's the one I have loved. Forever.

The way to the ferris wheel is completely shadowed by her taste. Only as we arrive in our little booth and the wheel takes off do we actually notice we're flying. I pull her closer and she doesn't protest, allowing me to feel her. She tossed Jerry on the bench earlier, to free her hands. Her fingers go under my overly pink T-Shirt, tracing circles as if they are on a mission to examine and claim the territory.

"I want this off", she whispers in my ear, tugging at the T-Shirt.

"I thought you liked the pink", I tease her.

"I like it. But I like you better without it", she counters.

Without any further comment, I obey, tossing away the T-Shirt. She smiles, mischief written all over her face, before she starts exploring my chest with her tongue.

My breath goes slower and I can feel how I tense.

"Cruel evil woman", I let out, my words more like a plea. April looks up at me and smiles, before she continues her journey.

My hands slide under her short crop top. I can hear her gasp and I stop. I might be a pro in this, given the fact I've gotten laid thousands of times, but I don't want to mess it up. I don't want to mess it up with April.

"Tell me when it's too much", I whisper to her.

She nods and replies: "Keep going."

So I do. I want to feel her, be close her. Our mouths find their way back to each other and we're kissing again, even with more pleasure as before.

"How are you so good at this, you wouldn't even take my offer to practice?", I ask her after a while, mostly for a tease.

She gets the hint and replies: "I have my ways."

"I hope they don't involve any other guys", I counter, my voice getting many degrees colder. She smirks deviously.

"How else do you want me to practice?"

"With me", I whisper, biting her bottom lip as in a promise. She gasps in my mouth then smiles. "From now on, only with me. Touch another man and I'll-"

"Kill him?", she asks me teasingly. I am quick to nod. She chuckles: "You men are so predictable."

I smirk and pull her even closer, tugging at her crop top as in a question. She nods and I take it off her, making a huge effort not to rip it apart. I freeze as I see her shirtless, only in her bra in front of me.

April must have noticed my stare since she chuckles, a devious grin on.

"Like what you see?", she asks me teasingly.

I start doing what she did to my chest earlier, and she shivers under my touch. I can't stop but look nervous.

"Fuck, April", I let out.

"What? Am I that hot? Well, thank you", she continues her teasing.

I let out a chuckle and continue my journey.

"You don't know how much time I've wanted to do this...", I whisper, not moving an inch away from her.

"You chose a hell of a moment. Middle of a ferris wheel ride. Wanted to have me trapped in the air so I couldn't run away?", she asks.

"No, precious. I wanted to have you all to myself. No interruptions. And besides, no one can hear your screams from here."

"So you are planning on killing me...", same devious tone from her.

"Slowly. By kissing every inch of you."

"That should be-", she wants to continue but we're interrupted by her phone ringing. Her ringtone is her favorite song, the one she always makes Kai play when we're on car rides together. Daydreaming by Harry Styles. Ever since I know her this girl has loved Harry Styles and the ringtone changes almost monthly in the latest song she listens to on repeat from him. Last month was Satellite. The month before As It Was. I wonder what comes next.

She takes out her phone the same moment my phone starts ringing as well. I also take it out, my ringtone being different than hers. It is that ringtone every Apple phone has. I wanted to put some lyrics from my favorite band, Chase Atlantic, but every time I have tried, people gave me some weird stares. As if it were my fault my phone starts shouting "She said Fuck me like I am famous, I said okay". Or "Let me in your ocean, swim". How I love that band...

"Dia", she mumbles to me as she sees the Caller ID.

"Kai", I answer back, looking at my phone.

"What do we do?", April asks, clearly worrying.

"We don't answer", I reply. She gives me a glare that says that was the dumbest answer ever.

"We cannot not answer. They'll be on to us."

"I am pretty sure that they already are since they called at the same time."

"Damn it", she lets out scared.

"Yeah", I say, trying to think of a solution, if only to help her calm down. "Or, maybe we could let Jerry answer."

April and I both turn to stare at the teddy bear.

"He's a plushie", she counters, gaze still piercing Jerry.

"Don't insult Jerry, he's our baby."

"He is not our baby", she replies.

"You're the Mommy, I'm the Daddy."

April only glares as an answer and shows me the middle finger.

"He can also be our secretary", I add, still in the mood to tease her.

"You just said he was our baby", she replies.

"So you agree he's our child..."

"Shut up and let me think", April lets out, her tone slightly annoyed. I smirk. She notices and rolls her eyes.

"We can answer together", she says after some time. My look clearly gave her my answer. No way.

"Yes way. Like this, we can pretend we are together...",

"Which we obviously are", I interrupt her. She rolls her eyes again.

"And don't have to hide anything. I'll answer, you're severely injured."

And before I can reply anything, she takes the call and puts Dia on speaker.

"April, are you alright?", Dia almost shouts at the other end of the line.

April sends me a look that says I should just go with whatever she is going to say next.

"Yes, I am", she replies, her voice shaking. If she wouldn't be so set on being a lawyer, she should become an actress, for her performance right now of seeming worried is Oscar-worthy. "But Coin is not", she adds.

I give her a what the heck look, she gives me a Say-Something one in return.

"Oh yes", I reply, trying not to sound as sarcastic as I am right now. "I am dying."

"He's what?!", Kai's voice tones from somewhere in the background, clearly worried. He must have taken the phone from Dia.

"I am", I add.

"There is so much blood", April adds, almost faking a tear. I show her the middle finger. She smirks.

"How can it still be blood; you've been missing for two hours?", Kai counters.

Already? Wow. Guess precious and I really were at it.

"I don't know, guess I am just super-strong and have a killer punch", April answers. I hardly hard a smirk. She grins innocently.

"That's true, but Noah isn't made out of dough", Kai adds. "Sorry, man."

"No offense taken", I reply, trying to sound as injured as possible.

"Oh, damn", Kai says biting it. "You really seem injured."

"I'm on the verge of death", I add.

"I bet. I've never heard you so dramatic", my best friend answers. April gives me a stare that says shut-it. "Do you need help?", Kai continues.

"We're fine", April says, too matter-of-factly. I can almost hear Kai's suspicions. April must have too, since she quickly adds. "Or, we will be at least. I'll take care of him. We went to search for some ice. You can go home without us, we'll be there later."

"Don't you need a lift?", Kai asks confused.

"No, I need more time to tend his wounds."

You can lick them, that will heal me faster, I mouth at her. She shows me the middle finger and continues: "We'll catch a bus. Or a train. Or the ambulance. Who knows..."

"April, you're creeping me out", Kai says. April rolls her eyes.

"We'll be alright, brother. Take care of Dia for me. I don't want a psycho punching her face. Only Coin deserves to suffer like this."

Oh, thanks, I mouth at her. She smirks.

"Text me as soon as you're on your way home", Dia says, probably taking her phone back from Kai.

"I will. Please tell my brother to calm down. We'll be fine. I know what I am doing", April answers.

"I bet you do", Dia replies, not so sneaky. She read right through us. Obviously. April also understood it, since she almost gasps to say something. Yet her bestie joins our little game. "After all those first-aid workshops you've dragged me to, I bet you know what you're doing."

April almost sighs relieved, and a smile forms itself on her lips. I bet she's proud of her bestie now. I'm rather surprised Dia said something at all. She never speaks freely to any of us, only to Cami she sometimes smiles and asks her how her day is. The rest of the time, she's with her headphones on, listening to whatever she's listening. That only changes with April. When April is there, she talks and smiles and says jokes and no sign of headphones. It's clear the two trust each other a lot. Something Dia clearly doesn't do towards me. Trust.

"I love you, babe", April tells her, smile now wide.

"Love you too", Dia answers. Then, she quickly adds: "Get better soon, Coin."

"Thanks, Dia", I reply, smirk still on.

We end the call and April sinks on the bench next to Jerry. I go back to teasing her.

"Look at you two. My family."

She looks confused at first then notices the teddy next to her.

"You have to be kidding me", April counters.

Our ferris wheel almost reached the ground again, but I don't care.

"I don't know. Maybe I'm hallucinating. Since I am on the verge of death", I add.

She smirks and stands up, pinning me against the closest wall. I love this side of her. It's very hot.

"Then let's give you something to remember", she whispers as she starts kissing me again.

I smirk and open my mouth wider to feel her taste better.

The doors to the ferris wheel cabin open and a worker comes inside, wanting to tell us to go out. April ignores him completely, focused too much on my mouth and I look at him with a request in my eyes. He must have got it, well either from that or the way April and I are both shirtless, and smirks once at me.

"They'll need some more time", he says, probably going against the rules since I see a big queue behind him. All with people waiting to go on the ride. I understand why too. The sun is down and it's dark outside, leaving the fun park enlightened by the many colorful lights. The perfect time for a ferris wheel ride.

With my eyes, I thank him and he smiles at me, closing the doors again.

"You for sure know how to make people do what you want", April says, as soon as we're up in the air again.

"Do I get to make you do what I want?", I ask her smirking.

"Not so fast, Noah, we've only got started", she answers, a twitch on her mouth.

I smirk and pull her even closer.
