Kong stomped off to whichever direction his rage led him. The sweet jingling of moonflower or pleasant aroma of nightshade did nothing to lift his mood.

He pulled a wolfsbane stalk with bare hand and hissed as the white milk secreting from it burnt his hand. He threw the stalk away. Saeng's sweet remainder to not touch wolfsbane with bare hands, burnt a painful hole in his heart.

Liar.

Traitor alpha.

He said Kong is beautiful.

He said he won't lie to Kong ever. But he kept meeting that beautiful omega.

He said Kong was his bestest friend ever.

He said Kong was his only charge and he was Kong's only protector. He said they had special relationship therefore he was more than kong's future alpha. Kong was even stupid enough to belive him.

Kong kept calling him stupid but who was stupid now?

He even asked Kong to mate him so Kong won't have to worry about mating a bad alpha!

What a lying face!

Kong will punch him so hard his nose will start bleeding. Kong imagined Arthit's teary face and aborted the plan.

It was his fault. He was a Duang. They took friendships and promises seriously.

He halted. Decision made already.

Kong will go back to Arthit, escort him to palace and go back to live with Duang tribe. He will make sure to never see his traitor alpha's face again.

His? Kong fumed again. His own brain is traitor to still consider Arthit his Alpha... Achi's alpha. He won't ever see Achi's alpha again.

Kong turned back to fetch Arthit, he hadn't even walked ten steps that he felt a strange scent waft in the air, a chill rose up his spine, freezing his bones. His eyes flashed blue, suddenly everything very clear around him, as if he has wolf vision.

He could feel ground beneath his feet vibrating subtly, his ears picked up the paws tapping softly against the grass covered ground, although the grass padding gave them cover, the rustling of leaves gave them away. The sound intensified with every passing minute.

Lots of wolves were coming in this direction.

Something was not right.

Kong should handle them before they breach Selene. Kong ran towards the border.

Killian rejoiced in his heart. Such sweet victory! Even goddess moon were at their side for once. Who knew Saen and Guss would Butt heads just before the run!

He thought he would have hard time convincing Guss to divert, instead it was piece of cake.

He just needed to steal some shirts of Arthit before they were laundered and plant them in route to lure the band of fools.

But now, he could actually smell the Kongpob brat around here! How merciful can goddess moon be in one night?

" I smell Kongpob here " Killian announced in mind link.

Slowly everyone hummed. Kongpob was stenching the place with his anxiety and worry.

Guss growled, howling loud, challenging the omega.

" Stay back, don't attack " He mind linked the Gamon clan. " Stay hidden. "

" This was not in the plan " Hedge, the leader hissed. "

" Do as I say. " Killian growled " Or failure of mission will be on your head. You know what my brother does with who fails him, don't you?"

Achi heard the furious howl.

" Breach at border " A patrol mind linked him " Elder Prince Rojanapt has come with a party of ten. "

" Stay at your position " Achi commanded. " I am coming. "

" Stay here prince, you must remain hidden."

Saeng growled lowly.

" Your omega is duang wolf, alpha. A duang does what he says. Our moon blessed had to slit his throat when his alpha didn't take his words seriously, because he has promised to do so. You don't want your omega to perform death seri, do you ? Don't worry, I promise you as chief of selene tribe, your omega will be safe until I have a single breath left. "

Without waiting for Saeng's reply, Achi marched to his border, alone.

" What brings you to our borders prince? "

" Where is my brother ? "

" How would I know that Prince? "

" Don't play with me. I know that traitor Kongpob is here. Give him over to us. "

" We don't know any Kongpob. If your wolf breached our borders, then you already know where to find him. "

Seeing confused faces, Achi smirked " In the bellies of crocodiles of selene river. Our borders are not open to any Rojanapats, Achi glanced at Killian " Leave. Before we send you to meet your Kongpob."

And Achi turned back, walking the same way he came like a leaf in the air, light and graceful.

No matter what the liar omega said, Guss knew in his gut that his brother was around. He could pick up that traitor Kongpob's scent. And a new one he ignored in hid mad rage to search for his brother.

The alpha. The alpha that wounded him. The traitor Kongpob was hiding in library.

Kongpob was the traitor all along. His fascination with his brother was a facade to earn close grounds so as soon as the opportunity presented itself, he could kill Arthit swiftly, without suspicion.

"Last warning. Hand me the traitor alpha you are hiding. " Guss roared in rage.

Achi turned, his eyes spitting fire " I told you we have nothing that you seek. If you breach the treaty, we won't be responsible for the bloodshed. "

It all happened in a second.

Kongpob appeared out of nowhere, blurred past Achi to stand before them.

" Go back. " Kong said.

" Traitor " Guss hissed in Kongpob's mind, making him feel like his brain was being teared in two " Where is Arthit ? "

" Safe " Kong replied.

"You lie. Bring out the stained blood of Rojanapat you are hiding ( talking about descendants of Gamon) . What will your father say if he knows you are assisting spawn of Gamon? " Guss spat.

" Arthit is safe as he should be. Go back."

" Not before I see Arthit. "

" He is back in the palace. "

" You left him willingly, are you taking me for a fool ? "

Kong racked his mind. " I can take a blood oath that your brother is safe, sound and alive. And I have never harmed him nor do I have any design on his life. Will it satisfy you? "

" Now. ." Guss growled.

Kong cut his thumb as he had seen Raegar doing " I, Kongpob Suthiluck of Duang tribe promise on the honour of my tribe and every drop of blood in my body. Let the sun, moon, and my ancestors be the witness to this promise I am making to Prince Guss of Rojanapt Kingdom. Your brother and younger prince of Ruangroj Kingdom, his highness Arthit Ruangroj is safe, healthy and alive. I have done everythig in my capability to keep him safe from every attack. I have never sought any type of deadly harm to him in the past, present nor do I have any such intentions in future. If a single word of my promise falls short of my honest intentions to protect Prince Arthit, may the divine hand of law befall on me. "

Guss nodded and stepped back along with his wolves.

Although he was satisfied, his wolf seethed at pure insult. Does this brat ever let go of a single chance to mock him?

Just Prince Guss - for the crown heir.

And his royal highness Prince Arthit - for second prince?

" Retreat . We must join the pack before they send search troop after us " Guss commanded over mind link.

He looked at the chief of the tribe. " I am sorry for interrupting your celebrations, chief Selene. I hope your tribe Will forgive us for we genuinely feared safety of our prince."

"Selene understands your concern Prince Rojanapat and wishes safety and health to younger Prince Rojanapat. Blesses be. "

" Blessed be." Guss repeated the formal greet and ordered their return.

" Attack " Killian yelled over his mind link to Gamon clan.

The space was suddenly filled with war cry of Gamon wolves, descending from their hiding spots atop trees, from pits dug in the ground, from behind the boulders.

They latched on the bodies of their enemies as dog to bones. Tearing anything their teeth found.

" Mop, Pok cover Kongpob. " Guss ordered. Two instantly started tearing their way to Kongpob who was handling two Enemy wolves with just one tiny duang dagger. Achi gave him cover from back.

" Go in to safety " Achi urged.

" Keep him safe" Kong replied,kicking wolf on his left while stabbing his silver dagger in the second wolf's jugular, black blood dripped down his dagger, burning the grass it fell on.

Kong pulled out and stabbed again. The silver should have burnt it's way, making the wolf unable to heal, yet to his surprise, it healed ten times faster than normal wolf.

" Black magic" Achi shouted to his warriors. " Don't use silver, it's making them strong. "

Kong gaped at the wolf they should have long dead snapping his haws at his neck. By pure reflex, he tried to push it by his bare hands. " The wolf howled in pain. Kong looked at his hand. The wolfsbane burn.

There was a reason it was called wolfsbane. The plant was so potent it could render a full grown alpha unconscious in seconds.

Kong tore open his backpack . The wolfsbane fell on ground, he took it in his hands, ready to shoved it down their intestines if need be.

" Use wolfsbane" He yelled throwing some harvested stalks in to air.

A wolf latched on to Mop's wolf's leg, he howled. Pok leapt to help him.

Mop growled " Go Cover the brat. "

" Help phi Mop " Kong yelled, holding branch of wolfsbane in his hand as if it was greatest sword he has ever seen.

A wolf leapt at him, he stuck the stalk right through the wolf's mouth but not before the wolf took a clean swipe at him, making his hand bleed, the edges of wounds singed black as if burnt.

Stench of his blood mixed with many others.

They froze hearing furious howl that shook the very earth beneath their feet. The wolf latching on Mop froze for a second out of surprise, it was enough for Mop to separate his head from body.

He ran towards Kongpob, blood falling freely from his thigh, he could feel in his gut, his wound wasn't going to heal.

Kong stilled, Saeng was coming. " Halt" he ordered "Stay behind the lines, " Kong yelled, eyes flashing blue. " You must stay behind the lines if you want to see me alive. Do your duty protect the Selene. We have brought this war to their doorsteps. "

Mop and Pok flanked him. " Protect the prince" Kong hissed " They have come for him not me. "

Their eyes collectively scanned the prince, Guss was unharmed but his kin and Saen were badly injured and freely blooding.

" Go " Kong yelled at Pok as he saw a wolf tearing flesh out of Sean's hind leg.

A wolf charged on pok's back, aiming for his stomach. Kong took his dagger and stabbed the wolf in the middle of his spine and stuck the wolfsbane stalk in " Die you abomination" he yelled.

But the wolf looked at him as if in mockery, his wound was closing fast. Kong froze. Did he got wrong idea. Does wolfsbane make them stronger too?

He watched paralyzed as the wound closed in few blinks, only tip of wolfsbane stalk remained lodged in, which the wolf threw out by vigorously shaking his body. The small wound too was closing but suddenly the wolf was howling in pain, writhing on floor like electrocuted animal. Kong looked at his hand, blood from wound on his hand had dripped in to the open wound of the wolf.

Kong looked at the moon goddess. Thank you mother.

With new determination, he took his dagger and charged in the field.

Stabbing the enemy wolf's and infusing open cut with his blood.

With every passing second and every falling wolf, his attack only got precise and fatal.

Guss's Kin had understood the pattern. They were injuring any wolf within prince's vicinity and flinging them to Kong who kept giving blood bath to the enemies. But everything has to happen within fraction of second before the wounds of those wretched wolf's closed. It demanded strength and stealth - both were depleting out of his body with every drop of blood. His wound wasn't closing, neither did anyone's who were wounded by these abomination in the name of wolf.

As one more wolf was thrown in his direction. Kong staggered. Dark spots danced in his vision, he shook his head as if it would fling the dark spot out of his vision field. Few seconds of swife was enough, the thrown wolf with torn belly was whole now , his paws struck his chest and Kong's breath hitched. Three claw nails stuck in his chest. The wolf above him howled in victory, his sharp canines mere inches from his neck.

His time has come. He twisted his neck, almost everyone of Rojanapat and few of selene were fallen.

Kong knew none would stick to this black magic long. It was a lost fight.

He had heard those who die on Blue moon reside in the court of moon goddess. He wondered if it was true.

Arthit! His heart clenched.

The swipe came in slow motion, a precise strike of claws that tore side of his neck open.

Arthit .

His grinning face flashed before him, marred with blood as one of these stood above his body, going for the kill-

" Remember your strength moon blessed" Some one whispered in his head. The voice like soothing caress of a parent.

Kong didn't know where did he find the strength to fling off the wolf. Or he knew that selenes had magical border protection. It was as if someone was feeding him information. " Go to sleep child" a voice whispered in his mind . He found himself drifting away.

Kongpob's eyes opened, his pupil, a vibrant blue. " Blessed one " a selene fell to knees beside him.

"Hail the moon" Kong growled, his voice no longer his.

" Hail the moon " came the battle cry from selenes.

He ran his gaze at the battle field.

Alpha Guss was handling three wolves, all his kin and friends fallen. Almost fifty of attackers were dead. But fresh sets of wolves kept coming. So did fresh sets of Selenes.

So much blood spent, his eyes teared. Is this the world you dreamt of mother moon, he asked. A lone streak ran down his eyes. The cloud came out of nowhere. As the tear fell from his eyes. So did the downpour, taking his blood to every fallen and standing wolf. His omega pheromones filled the place like thick fog, penetrating hearts of every sacred, agitated , anxious wolf, making them at peace.

" The guardians of earth, I call upon you to protect my clan. " Kong closed his eyes as he made new set of cuts on his skin.

Thunder crackled ominously in the sky, moon was nowhere to be seen.

" my wolves, I call un to your blood, that is same in me and you. The blood of sun and soul of moon, I call upon you to guide the path to lost souls. Rise my brothers , rise and protect yourself. Protect your souls. You can break free. You can liberate your souls and have the graces of moon. "

The Gamon clan howled in pain as the blood within them, tainted by black magic bubbled and incinerated, their eyes shed tears of regret for tainting their souls.

" Sleep my brother's. Rest to rejuvenate, " his soothing voice spread " Heal while moon's grace wash away the taint of evil forced upon you. Have peace my fallen brothers, you died in honour, protecting your clan. May the goddess bless you with her divine light"

He saw to it that every wounded wolf's human side slept while the wolf spirit healed.

" Prepare the immortal concoction " Kong ordered Achi." Two ounces of nightshade a pinch of moon flower, three ounces of belladona and one stalk of lotus stem. Let it simmer under moonlight until it turns golden yellow. "

" Singtuan " a voice whispered in his head. " My love..."

Prachaya's heart tore as he heard the broken call " Kit... I told you to stay, behind the lines."

" I am my love, I will never do the same mistake again."

" You must be safe."

" So must you. Let me heal you, please. Let me do this one thing."

" I am going to our caves. Meet me there."

He wobbles but determinedly walk a short distance to abandoned cave of blessed one.

He was utterly gratified to find it well maintained.

" My healer..." The moon blessed rejoiced hearing the voice of his beloved.

" My love...."

" Shift " Saeng pleaded.

Kong shifted in to pure white wolf with topaz blue eyes. Saeng instantly leapt in to action, livking the wounds clean. The white wolf put a paw on Saeng's chest to halt his actions

" I don't think, I ran remain conscious for long..."

" Then rest, my love. I will keep guard."

" No, I want to look at you. let me look at you na" the white wolf ran his paw reverantly over Saeng's face.

" I love you. "

" I always have love you. Come to me alone, my love. "

" My human has lot to learn, Saeng. Wolf doesn't materialise before human and spirit side attains balance. My human must learn forgiveness before he would be able to shift. "

" I will wait..."

" Just a bit more, my love" moon blessed urged, hiding his head under Saeng's warm chest.

He wasn't able to look enjoy Saeng's embrace for long before the loos of blood calimed victory and pulled him in to fatigued sleep.

He changed to human body, now at various stages of healing. Saeng held his moon blessed reverently, snapping his teeth at anyone who dared to come close.
