Chapter 4183 Heavenly Gambling Sect?
Divine Emperor of Death
Chapter 4183 Heavenly Gambling Sect?
Some time ago...
"So this is how he found our mini-realm..."
Davis gazed at the Heavenly Gambling Records in his hands. Upon reading, this jade crystal mysteriously turned into a book, making it known that it was not made with ordinary materials. It seemed nearly indestructible, but he scoffed lightly, unable to believe it.
Changing one's luck actively? Was that even possible?
Even with Fallen Heaven, he hadn't noticed something like that, but to change fate was something he noticed. He felt it was Fallen Heaven's supreme power as an apex treasure, but using it might expose it.
That's why he had never tried to use it. Even its passive ability was to slowly change the fates of the people around him. At least, the experiences he had led him to believe so.
'And this manual boldly yet indirectly states that luck is a byproduct of fate in the introduction...' Davis could only ponder.
"Let me see..."
Myria took the manual from him. Ellia also glanced at the introduction.
[In the myriad of existences, where stars dictate destinies and the Law weaves its endless threads in the vast cosmic sea, the existence of luck is always questioned, whether it is a natural flow of energy or just an obscure myth.
To change luck is to grasp the elusive strands of fate itself, bending the unpredictable into the predictable, twisting the predictable into the unpredictable, an act of defiance that churns the will of the world. Those who master these records can gain an uncanny ability to thrive in life, escape calamity, and seize opportunities others cannot even perceive, but at the same time, with one roll of bad luck, your life turns blank. Luck is never controllable!]
Myria flipped the page. @@novelbin@@
The new few pages explained what luck could be.
It seemed to be a mix of karmic virtue, karmic sin, heavenly favor, destiny, soul resonance, talent, and many other factors. These all gave birth to karmic luck and changed a person's destiny.
Myria and Ellia appeared highly intrigued. Of course, they had read records of scholars trying to explain luck, but this manual claims that these factors and many unseen factors really exist and that they are not elusive.
It was a big claim to make.
Myria flipped more pages.
The book mentioned that there were four principles to changing luck.
Although many people believe luck is innate and can be gained through various deeds, it is controllable by those who have learned Space, Time and Karma Laws. In other words, Mystic Diviners. They can see the unordinary and reshape the trace the flow of fate to the slightest degree, making it possible for them to influence luck.
[Fortune cannot always be forced. To master luck is impossible, so all you need to do is dance in accordance with its flow. Know when to yield, when to risk, and when to go all out. If you embrace the unpredictable and grasp the unknown, the flow of fate might just favor you.]
"Sounds like a scam..." Myria pursed her lips.
"Sure does..."
Davis nodded lightly.
"Heavenly Gambling Sect? Has anyone heard of it?" Tia asked.
Davis, Myria, and Ellia shook their heads.
Tia went into contemplation. She really couldn't think of anything that might point to the Heavenly Gambling Sect. Even Myria didn't seem to have heard of it.
Davis imagined it was some hidden sect with really low numbers, so wasn't surprised. If it were true, how many could master such an obscure skill? The count would be really low.
"But still, it can't be ignored, considering this Mystic Diviner could've really used it to come here. Maybe we can test it?"
"..." Myria didn't appear to be sure.
She never wanted to dwell in the world of occultic mystical arts. Even mastering reincarnation energy first seemed taboo for her before she eventually accepted it. It was a frightening energy that was the bane of souls, after all. It could also be used as a boon, but that wasn't the point. Other people simply were not capable of mastering it because they would destroy themselves before they could learn it.
It was like poison that decayed and became more poisonous but also got tainted with death energy.
As soon as they produce the first strand of reincarnation energy, it might become a poison that shatters their souls without them knowing how to control it. A soul was already fragile when compared to the body. It was way more difficult than mastering chaos or destructive energies.
Davis saw that Myria was apprehensive when it came to changing luck. It involved the flow of fate so he could understand her worries.
However, he was at a junction where he was less apprehensive of such things.
He suddenly turned to look at Ellia.
"You said something about dealing with those two Heaven's Warriors? What did you want to do?"
