Chapter 87
Summon Of The Sword
Yesterday.
As Sean left the private room, he said something to Jeremy.
âI think the guard position suits you.â
Then Jeremy, out of nowhere, brought a gift and apologized to Sean.
Sean said he would not be able to even guard the main gate if he continued talking nonsense.
Willow did not think much about it back then, only finding it a relief for her anger.
âBut now that I think about it, Seanâs confidence and Jeremyâs humble attitudeâ¦
âIt seems thereâs something more to thisâ¦â
Confused, Willow turned to look at Fion.
âMom, what are you talking about?
âWhat on earth is going on?â
Willow asked in a whisper as she frowned.
âHaha!â
Man Fion laughed and put the groceries on the table.
âIsnât there something your dadâs been trying to solve all this time?
âI saw him so frustrated that he struggled to sleep all night, so I thought Iâd ask Jeremy for help.
âGuess what? Hahaha! We saw him in a security uniform guarding the main gate. Haha!
âHe said he wanted someone else to be the guard dog, but he ended up in the position himself. Isnât that funny?â
Fion laughed after she finished speaking. She felt so elated.
She was now in a good mood and even found Sean less annoying. Willow was dumbfounded after hearing that. She glanced at Sean. Sean seemed calm and unsurprised.
It was as if he already knew about it.
âIsnât Jeremy up for a promotion?
âEven if he lost the promotion, he shouldnât be demoted to security guardâ¦â
Willow was confused.
âHaha! Who knows?
âHe said something about the higherâups wanting him to start from the bottom up and refresh his work skillsâ¦
âF*ck off. Isnât it obvious that he offended the wrong person?â
Fion was smart. She got to the bottom of it in a few words.
Sean almost wanted to laugh.
âFion isnât that stupid either.â
âOffended the wrong personâ¦â
Willow muttered to herself. Then she turned to look at Sean again.
âWhile having dinner with us, Jeremy was so smug as he was a few steps away from a promotion.
âBut after offending Sean, he got demoted and is reduced to a security guard.â
âIs this a coincidence?
âOr is Sean the one he canât afford to offend?â
âSean, does this have something to do with you?â
Willow asked after being silent for two seconds.
Fion wanted to make a face of disdain out of habit.
However, she did not do it after a pause.
After all, she had seen what happened the night before.
âYes.â
Sean did not hide anything and just nodded.
He had lost his power and had Blaze eyeing him. He could only keep a low profile.
However, he just could not reveal his identity to the public.
He did all these in River City without using his identity.
Therefore, there was nothing he could not say.
He just admitted it anyway.
âDoes it really have something to do with you?â
T Chapte Willow was once again stunned. âIs Sean that capable?â
Although he and Homer were friends, would Mr. Luke give him so much face? âI just mentioned to Mr.
Luke that Jeremy seems to have a soft spot for the security guard position.
âAnd he should enjoy it.â
Sean looked at Willow and said indifferently.
âTeeheeâ¦â
Willow could not help laughing out loud.
âJeremy does seem to have a soft spot for this position!â
Willow said with suppressed laughter.
Jeremy could not stop talking about guard dogs at dinner last night. Did he not have a deep obsession with security guarding?
âSo itâs a dream come true for him.â
Sean said sternly, and Willow chuckled again.
She wanted to ask Sean why he could say something so funny while looking so serious.
âReally?
âMr. Luke will listen to you?â
Fion was still unconvinced.
After all, it was too unbelievable.
He was a disabled vegetable, who had been in a wheelchair for two years and a lowlife in everyoneâs eyes.
He had now turned into a big shot?
He could even demote someone to a security guard with a few words?
Anyone would not be able to accept that easily.
âThereâs no way Mr. Luke will take orders from Sean.â
Kent said calmly, âJeremyâs too cocky. Maybe he had already irritated Mr. Luke.
âAnd Sean brought it up, so Mr. Luke did a favor for Mr. Larsonâs sake.
âBut Sean did it anyway.â
Kent was middleâaged now, so he could see through many things.
The world was deceitful and complicated.
Fion and Willow agreed with what Kent had said.
