Fion glared suspiciously at Willow. A mother knew her daughter best, and she knew something was up with Willow.

However, she did not want to say much at the moment.

“Is Sean done packing?”

Fion glanced at the luggage in the room and asked indifferently.

“Mom, are you kicking Sean out?”

Willow instantly got up and asked as she glared at Fion.

“Hmph! He’s in luck.

“Old Madam said he can stay for the time being since he saved her life.

“Let him stay in the Quinn family. Then he can get the f*ck out of the Quinn family when he can walk again.”

Fion spoke forcefully. She slammed the door and left after she finished.

“Whew!”

Willow let out a long sigh of relief and happily turned around to look at Sean.

“Sean, you don’t have to leave. You don’t have to leave…”

Willow was so excited she spoke incoherently.

Sean did not think anything of it.

Everyone thought Sean would be left to fend for himself after leaving the Quinn family.

They never wondered if Sean would be better off without the Quinn family.

“Do you want me to stay?”

Sean asked with a smile as he looked at Willow.

Willow paused for a moment before replying earnestly, “Yes!”

Sean nodded. “Okay, I won’t leave.”

Jay’s father obsequiously sent the two middle–aged men out of the private room.

Jay’s father had spent the last two days anxiously asking around to find out who was up against the Bennett family.

Jay was sitting in a chair pondering about something.

“Damn it! I was wondering what to do to that cripple.

“Now that the Bennett family’s in trouble, I don’t have time to deal with him.

“I’ll let him prance around for two days first. Let’s see how I’ll make him miserable after we have settled our family’s problem!”

Jay’s father strode in with a grim expression.

Jay immediately asked as he got up.

However, Jay’s father let out a roar. Then he raised his arm and slapped him hard across the face.

The hard slap made Jay spin around twice.

A clear slap mark also appeared on his face instantly.

“Dad, did you just slap me?”

Jay exclaimed in disbelief as he looked dumbfounded.

“Slapping you is considered light punishment!

“Think about who you’ve offended!”

Jay’s father growled and slapped him across the face again.
