Chapter 1522
Summon Of The Sword
âYeah.â
Sean nodded, took Caitlynâs hand, and followed Rosie into Myron Hotel.
The party had already begun at this time.
The banquet hall was decorated magnificently. The luminous marble floors and huge crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling gave the banquet hall sophistication and grandeur.
Moreover, the guests in the banquet hall were socializing with each other-graceful and poised as if they were on a different planet from the outside world.
Seanâs brow could not help furrowing as he watched the extravagant spectacle.
No matter how many times he saw it, he could not like it!
Rosie led Sean and Caitlyn to a slightly secluded corner and said, âHereâs the thing. My father is talking to some friends, and heâll be with you in a few minutes. Why donât you wait here for a while?â
Sean was upset, but he did not show it much.
He did have a bad relationship with Victor of the Joules Town government. Besides that, Victor despised him, but that was between them. It was between Sean and the Joules Town government. It had nothing to do with Victorâs daughter, Rosie.
Sean would not take it out on a woman, no matter how upset he was.
âYeah, get back to whatever you were doing, Ms. Barlowe.â
Sean said indifferently.
However, Rosie did not stay.
Sean looked at Rosie somewhat confused but found Rosieâs face gradually reddening:
âIs there something you want?â
Sean asked.
Rosie hesitated for a moment before finally saying, âUh⦠itâs nothing actually. I only want to see what kind of person you are.â
âWhat?â
Sean was confused.
Caitlyn tugged at Seanâs sleeve and whispered, âBrother Sean, does this woman like you?â
âStop joking around. Itâs the first time Iâve met her.â
Sean said earnestly.
However, Caitlyn shook her head and went on to say, âWho says you canât fall in love on the first meeting? Where do you think the phrase âlove at first sightâ comes from?â
Despite Caitlynâs claims, Sean did not think Victorâs daughter, Rosie, would fall for him.
Partly because they had met for the first time and partly because they were against each other.
Victorâs attitude toward himself could be described with two words: indifference and contempt. Rosie was his daughter. How could she be interested in him?
Sean was never an overthinker, much less believed pennies would fall from heaven. Therefore, he did not take Caitlynâs words seriously.
However, Rosie suddenly asked, âMr. Lennon, you started Lennon Group to compete with Billion Trees Group and succeeded. Billion Trees Group lost now. The entire Joules Town knew this⦠How did you do it?â
Sean glanced at the woman and said indifferently, âItâs a trade secret.â
âYouâre right. How could you randomly tell someone something so important?â
Rosie laughed self-depreciatingly before asking, âWell, let me ask you something less important⦠Mr.
Lennon, why did you go to all this trouble to build an orphanage? You canât profit from this kind of charity, can you?â
Sean did not know how to answer her.
He spent a lot of money to build the orphanage to give May, Caitlyn, and the children of Queen Childrenâs Orphanage a better home.
