“What’s the matter? Are you trying to lecture me?”

Sean shook his head slightly before locking eyes with the middle-aged man.

“Hmph! I admit that Lennon Real Estate’s quite capable.

“But it’s not as simple as you think, Mr. Lennon.

“Having friends opens doors while having fewer friends closes doors. You should know that, Mr.

Lennon.”

The middle-aged man was silent for two seconds, his tone also upset.

“Do you deserve to be my friend?”

Sean’s answer was simple and unceremonious.

Zane was in between laughter and tears on the sidelines.

He realized Sean did not have the smooth sophistication that a businessman should have.

On the contrary, he was rigid and spoke without any mercy.

Sean w was more of a gangster than a businessman.

However, Zane had to admit that he preferred Sean’s straightforwardness to phony politeness.

“Fine! Let’s see how Mr. Lennon’s going to figure it out.”

The three snorted coldly before turning away.

They tried to get closer to Sean, but it ended badly.

Sean and Zane were soon alone in the room.

“Well, I gotta say.

“They’re wealthy billionaires.

“Are you sure you don’t want to be friends with them?”

Zane asked curiously as he looked at Sean.

“Is that necessary?

“It’s only a waste of time.”

Sean shook his head slightly and said with a smile.

“What do you mean?”

Zane paused slightly before asking again.

“Lennon Real Estate wants to get on top.

“But there’s only one top spot.”

Sean explained bluntly.

Zane thought about it for a second and figured it out instantly.

Lennon Real Estate wanted to be at the top of Joules Town’s business circle.

Just as Sean said, there was only one top spot, and everybody wanted it.

Lennon Real Estate had to step on many people to get up there.

How could anyone trampled by Lennon Real Estate ever be friends with Sean?

Therefore, Sean simply and rudely fell out with them.

“I understand what you mean.

“But as far as I know, you didn’t reject everyone with one go!

“Haven’t you signed contracts with several other companies?”

Zane pondered for two seconds before asking again.

“That’s different.

“People willing to work with you are not the same as people who want to steal from you.”

Sean whispered back, shaking his head slightly.

Zane’s eyes slowly widened when he heard that.

The more time he spent with Sean, the more he realized how capable Sean was.

Anything Sean said out of the blue might sound like nothing at first. However, you would realize it contained some truth once you thought it through.

The companies that Lennon Real Estate had signed contracts with were not as powerful as the five big shots, of course.

However, the smaller companies would not be too ambitious and only want to get a part out of the projects offered by Lennon Real Estate.

The big five had grown so big that they refused to be placed under others.

Given the chance, they would do anything to trample over Lennon Real Estate.

Therefore, Sean’s metaphor was suitable.

The companies that Lennon Real Estate partnered up with were making money with Lennon Real Estate.

However, the big five would steal from Lennon Real Estate at any time!

“Mr. Lennon, you’re right!”

Zane could not help exclaiming.
