“What are you arresting me for?”

Jimmy asked, frowning slightly and taking a drag on his cigar.

“Mr. Lidell, we have enough evidence since we came.

“So let’s not waste each other’s time. What do you think?”

The staff was polite.

However, Jimmy snorted coldly, his face full of disdain.

“Evidence? What evidence?

“What did I do to get arrested when I’m only running my company well?”

Jimmy leaned against his desk, confident.

If Billion Trees Real Estate was so easy to deal with, would Jimmy have the fortune he had now?

“Just the taxes alone. Billion Trees Real Estate has evaded 20 million dollars over the year.

“Did you know that, Mr. Lidell?”

The staff in charge of tax administration said as they held a document.

Jimmy’s heart sank when he heard this.

He was in charge of it himself. How could he not know?

They had found him. It seemed they had found their bills.

There was no point in Jimmy arguing anymore.

“I admit there were tax problems because there was something wrong with the bills.

“I accept my punishment even though it was a careless mistake.

“I’ll make up for all the missed taxes and overdue fines.”

Jimmy waved his hand, his tone indifferent.

“It seems you haven’t realized how serious this is.”

A middle-aged man shook his head slightly, finding Jimmy ridiculous.

“How serious?

“How serious is it? It’s just 20 million dollars in missed taxes? Can you arrest me just because of that?”

Jimmy sneered. He knew Sean hired these people, so he was rude.

“According to Article 201 of Dragon Kingdom’s criminal law, those who evade huge amounts of tax will be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of three to seven years and fined.

“Mr. Lidell, it’s time to learn the law.”

The middle-aged man smiled indifferently before waving at the people behind him.

Two staff stepped forward, handcuffs still in hand.

“What are you doing?

“What do you want?

“I’m willing to pay back the taxes and overdue fines.

“The most you can do is give me an administrative punishment. You can’t raise it to criminal responsibility!”

Jimmy finally panicked after seeing this.

“Cooperate. Don’t make things hard for yourself.”

The middle-aged man frowned slightly and said to Jimmy.

“I’m already cooperating. You’re the one making a fuss.

“There’s something wrong with the company’s taxes. I will ask the company’s legal department to contact you.

“You have no power to arrest me.”

Jimmy said with a cold snort, pushing one of the staff away.

A trace of impatience finally appeared in the middle-aged man’s eyes.

“Do I have to explain what you’ve done, Jimmy Lidell?

“Colluding with underworld members, causing trouble, expropriating land for development and violent transformation.”
