Chapter 1407
Summon Of The Sword
âWhat?â
Jimmyâs hand shuddered as he turned his head around in disbelief.
However, he soon calmed down.
âAre you kidding?
âWhat are you arresting me for?â
Jimmy asked, frowning slightly and taking a drag on his cigar.
âMr. Lidell, we have enough evidence since we came.
âSo letâs not waste each otherâs time. What do you think?â
The staff was polite.
However, Jimmy snorted coldly, his face full of disdain.
âEvidence? What evidence?
âWhat did I do to get arrested when Iâm only running my company well?â
Jimmy leaned against his desk, confident.
If Billion Trees Real Estate was so easy to deal with, would Jimmy have the fortune he had now?
âJust the taxes alone. Billion Trees Real Estate has evaded 20 million dollars over the year.
âDid you know that, Mr. Lidell?â
The staff in charge of tax administration said as they held a document.
Jimmyâs heart sank when he heard this.
He was in charge of it himself. How could he not know?
They had found him. It seemed they had found their bills.
There was no point in Jimmy arguing anymore.
âI admit there were tax problems because there was something wrong with the bills.
âI accept my punishment even though it was a careless mistake.
âIâll make up for all the missed taxes and overdue fines.â
Jimmy waved his hand, his tone indifferent.
âIt seems you havenât realized how serious this is.â
A middle-aged man shook his head slightly, finding Jimmy ridiculous.
âHow serious?
âHow serious is it? Itâs just 20 million dollars in missed taxes? Can you arrest me just because of that?â
Jimmy sneered. He knew Sean hired these people, so he was rude.
âAccording to Article 201 of Dragon Kingdomâs criminal law, those who evade huge amounts of tax will be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of three to seven years and fined.
âMr. Lidell, itâs time to learn the law.â
The middle-aged man smiled indifferently before waving at the people behind him.
Swoosh!
Two staff stepped forward, handcuffs still in hand.
âWhat are you doing?
âWhat do you want?
âIâm willing to pay back the taxes and overdue fines.
âThe most you can do is give me an administrative punishment. You canât raise it to criminal responsibility!â
Jimmy finally panicked after seeing this.
âCooperate. Donât make things hard for yourself.â
The middle-aged man frowned slightly and said to Jimmy.
âIâm already cooperating. Youâre the one making a fuss.
âThereâs something wrong with the companyâs taxes. I will ask the companyâs legal department to contact you.
âYou have no power to arrest me.â
Jimmy said with a cold snort, pushing one of the staff away.
A trace of impatience finally appeared in the middle-aged manâs eyes.
âDo I have to explain what youâve done, Jimmy Lidell?
âColluding with underworld members, causing trouble, expropriating land for development and violent transformation.â
