Chapter 1373
Summon Of The Sword
âMr. Lennon, please have a seat.â
Zane reached out his hand and beckoned Sean to sit down.
He and Sean were alone in the room, and Zane did not have an assistant with him.
After all, it was a personal agreement he had made with Sean.
âMr. Lennon, why do I find you familiar?â
Zane asked quietly after looking at Sean for a few seconds.
âI have an average-looking face.
âItâs normal that I look somewhat familiar.â
Sean waved his hand slightly and did not say more.
âNo, youâre not average, Mr. Lennon.
âThere must be something unusual about your identity, Mr. Lennon.â
Zane shook his head slightly. He had a feeling he had seen Sean somewhere.
He had probably seen him in a photo or from somewhere, even if he had never met him in person.
âTell me who I am, Mr. Curley.â
Sean smiled and picked up the coffee pot in front of him.
âWellâ¦â
Zane was puzzled by Seanâs remark.
It was because he had no idea what to say.
Besides that, he had had people look into Lennon Real Estate and Sean in the past two days.
After all, he could not randomly support someone he did not know.
However, to Zaneâs surprise, he found nothing after two days of investigation.
The best he could find was that Sean was from some corporation in River City.
Everything else was blank.
Zane had no idea if someone was trying to cover up Seanâs identity or if it was indeed a mystery.
Seeing Zaneâs silence, Sean laughed.
âMr. Curley, we have to get to the heart of the matter.
âWhat is it? Joules Town needs to develop, and you need to reach your KPI.
âAnd Iâm capable enough to satisfy Joules Townâs development plans and your KPI.
âArenât these enough?â
Sean asked indifferently, holding the coffee pot.
Zane was once again left speechless.
He could not even refute him.
He had already seen Seanâs wealth.
He was super rich to pay five billion dollars for a piece of land.
However, money alone was not enough.
He was not quite sure about Seanâs ability yet.
Thud.
Sean closed the coffee pot and waited for the coffee to rest.
âMr. Curley, Iâve already paid the bill.â
Sean said, pulling out a Pallman Hotel member card.
âI used your card.â
Sean said as he slowly pushed the member card forward.
âMy card?â
Zane was instantly stunned.
He never had a Pallman member card.
âThatâs right.
âAfter deducting todayâs expenses, there is still a million dollars in it.
âThank you for your hospitality, Mr. Curley.â
Sean finished, and the membership card was already pushed up to Zane.
Zane stared blankly at the membership card for more than ten seconds before slowly coming to his senses.
âYou⦠Youâ¦â
Zane was confused. He was dumbfounded.
He had people giving him cash, valuable paintings, and rare antiques.
However, Seanâs approach was new to him.
âWhatâs the matter? Iâm donating a billion dollars to Joules Town charity.
âCanât I spend some money on you, Mr. Curley?â
Sean picked up the coffee pot and began to pour the coffee.
Zane paused for a few seconds, speechless.
âThis is a gift!â
Zane shook his head slightly and pushed the member card back.
It was not that he did not know any better, it was that Zane did not have such a habit.
âFirst of all, this is your card.
âBesides, I know youâre different from other people, Mr. Curley.
âJimmy approached you, but you turned him down.â
Sean picked up the coffee cup and gently placed it in front of Zane.
âYou did your research very well!â
Zane narrowed his eyes slightly. He did not realize that Sean even knew about these things. However, he was not afraid. After all, he had always had his boundaries.
He would never touch anything he should not do.
âYouâre not like the others.
âIâm not like Jimmy either.
âI think you know what I mean, Mr. Curley.â
Sean picked up the coffee cup, twirled it gently, and smelled the coffee as he spoke.
Zaneâs eyes narrowed again slightly.
He understood what Sean meant, of course.
âI get what you mean.
âBut you must take back this card.
âYou have your way, and I have my rules.â
Zane pushed the card back.
âAlright.â
Sean no longer insisted and put away his membership card right away.
Zane did not accept it, but he got to know Sean better again.
Seanâs approach did not work on Zane but might work on others.
Therefore, it was also an ability.
The two finally got down to business after drinking coffee.
âI called you here today because I wanted to talk about something. âHow far are you going to go with Billion Trees Real Estate?â
Zane asked, putting down his coffee cup and tapping the table.
âThat depends on how far you want us to go, Mr. Curley.â
Seanâs answer was somewhat meaningful.
