Chapter 1244
Summon Of The Sword
âYes!â
Zander stopped asking questions and pushed the handbrake down.
Turning on the hazard lights and stepping on the gas pedal, they sped for Patrickâs old home.
None of them spoke, but both were furious.
Dragon Kingdomâs citizens took the deceasedâs peace seriously.
Patrick died in the service of his country. After he was killed in battle, his body was finally returned home to lie to rest.
However, someone destroyed his grave.
Who could accept that?
A brave soul had died on the battlefield to protect the country.
However, the people he protected would not even leave his grave alone after he died.
Anyone would be angry about that.
At work, Sean was Patrickâs commander and was supposed to keep him safe.
Now that Patrick was dead, Sean had a responsibility to take care of the aftermath of his death.
Sean and Patrick were comrades, who fought side by side.
He would not allow Patrick to not have peace after his death.
Therefore, he would settle this matter.
Tygaâs death did not deter those people.
Then he would kill a few more.
Vroom vroom vroom!
The car engine roared as it sped away.
Zander was a good driver. He did not even care about running red lights. He took advantage of every opening and overtook the cars on the road.
âRayâs incapable.â
Zander stared ahead, his voice disapproving.
When Sean killed Tyga, Ray was there as a government official.
As Seanâs subordinate, he dared not arrest Sean.
Besides that, Sean told him they had to take good care of Patrickâs grave.
However, this was what he delivered to Sean.
It upset Zander.
âThey knew Ray was involved, yet they did it anyway.
âThere are only two possibilities.â
Sean paused for two seconds and whispered.
âWhat possibilities?â
Zander asked without losing speed or turning around.
âThe other party is so strong that even Ray canât overrule them.
âOr Ray kept that day a secret to cover our tracks.â
After Sean finished, Zander thought about it for a few seconds before nodding gently.
It was quite possible.
Either way, Zander found little reason to blame Ray.
âCommander, if itâs the first possibilityâ¦
âDoes that mean that someone of higher rank is involved?
âWhat are weâ¦â
Zander suddenly thought of this and slowed down.
Then he stepped on the brake and parked on the roadside.
The two men came to Joules Town in secret.
They could not show themselves in public.
Even in public, they had to try their best to avoid contact with the government and members of the army.
Just because Ray would not reveal Seanâs whereabouts did not mean anyone else would not.
Would Sean and Zander not have gotten themselves into trouble if someone more influential was involved?
Therefore, Zander was concerned.
âDrive.â
However, Sean was determined and only spoke quietly.
Zander turned his head slowly, his eyes a little reluctant.
âDrive.â
Sean frowned slightly and said again.
He could not leave Patrickâs matter alone.
He would make sure it was taken care of.
âOkay!â
Zander was silent for a few seconds before nodding in response. Then he looked onward and sped on.
