Chapter 1207
Summon Of The Sword
Besides the main road, the other paths in villages were dirt roads.
The car sped over, kicking up dust.
However, none of the seven or eight young people or Sally and her family noticed the car coming.
One wanted to demolish the tombstone, while the other tried to stop them.
They had no time to pay attention to anything else.
âIâve lost so much time because of you.
âDemolish it! F*ck!â
The leader shouted angrily, and the gang rushed forward.
âWhat⦠What are you doing?â
A woman like Sally felt timid in the face of these strong young men.
However, no matter how timid she was, she refused to see her husbandâs grave demolished!
âDoes⦠Does the law exist in your eyes?â
Connie let out a long sigh as tears streamed down her face.
They had no men at home. The three of them consisted of an orphan and two widowed mothers. They were desperate in the face of such injustice.
âF*ck off!â
A young man reached out and shoved Sally and Connie away. He was about to start digging with the shovel.
The little girl wailed with fright.
Bang!
One of the young men raised his shovel and stuck it hard into the grave.
âAlright!â
Then the rest stepped forward with shovels and began to dig.
They even trampled on the flowers in front of the tombstone.
âStop! Stop it!â
Sally gritted her teeth as she stopped a young man.
Slap!
He knocked Sally straight to the side.
Blood gushed from the corners of her mouth.
Sallyâs hand happened to touch Patrickâs photo.
Sally looked into Patrickâs eyes in the photo, and tears poured out of her eyes.
âYou b*stard!
âYou served Dragon Kingdom, the army, and everyone, but you abandoned us.
1 âWith so many people in the army, they could do without you. But youâre all we had!â
Sally held Patrickâs photo âin her arms and cried.
Oneâthird of the grave was ruined once the young men started shoveling.
Sally knew there was no way to stop them. She just crumpled on the ground, holding the photo with glazed eyes.
âThis is my fatherâs home. You canât do this!â
The girl cried to stop them, but a young man kicked her to the ground.
Sally saw all this, only to shed more tears.
âYou said itâs a manâs duty to protect the country, but who will protect our family after you defend the country?
âYou also said Dragon Kingdom will protect us even if you die in battle one day. And your commander will take care of every soldierâs family.
âWhere are they? You b*stard! Youâre a liar!â
Sally sat on the ground, holding Patrickâs photo tightly in her arms, despair pouring out of her heart.
âWhoâs going to protect our child? Whoâs going to protect our family?â
Sally looked up to the sky and let out a heartâwrenching wail.
âI will!â
Just then, a powerful voice rang.
Swoosh!
Sally turned her head and looked in the direction of the voice..
Through her tearful eyes, she vaguely saw three people coming this way.
One of them was on crutches.
Connie also got up when she saw them.
âJeffrey?â
Connie recognized Jeffrey with the crutches.
Jeffrey would stop by sometimes.
Not often, though. Sally was a widow after all.
Scandals would arise since she was a widow, and Jeffrey did not have what it took to prevent them.
Therefore, Jeffrey would not have come if there was nothing serious.
âUncle Jeffrey!â
The little girl also got up, her face full of tears.
Jeffrey was furious at what he saw. His expression was murderous.
However, what could he do when he was crippled?
âYo, Iâve heard you have a cripple relative.
âDidnât they say heâs your soldier sonâs comrade?â
The leader of the young men also saw Sean, Zander, and Jeffrey.
However, Sean did not even glance at him. Instead, he walked right up to Sally.
Sally sat on the ground with Patrickâs photo in her arms, looking at Sean with glazed eyes.
She had a feeling that there was unusual with the way Sean looked at her.
The next second, Sean bent over slightly and reached toward Sallyâs chest.
âYou! What are you doing?â
Sallyâs eyes suddenly widened in humiliation.
She soon realized that Sean had just picked up Patrickâs photo to stare at it.
âYouâ¦â
Sally was a little confused.
âSally, heâs⦠Brother Patrickâs friend.â
Jeffrey whispered as he hobbled over.
