Chapter 1167
Summon Of The Sword
Willow slowly took her phone back.
She loved how Sean took over the conversation.
Janeâs mouth opened but said nothing.
âYou! You!â
Jane said âYouâ a couple of times and suddenly slammed her phone on the desk.
It was loud, especially in this quiet restaurant.
Many diners and waiters turned their heads to look this way.
âWhat do you mean? What blood? Who are you scaring?â
Jane shouted through gritted teeth, not wanting to admit defeat.
âI only want to tell you that the fancy restaurants you visit and the designer bags you use are worthless to me.â
Sean reached over and tapped on the table with disdain in his eyes.
âHaha. Worthless? Itâs the first time Iâve ever seen someone talk about poverty with such confidence.
âYou canât afford what you say is worthless!â
Jane lost her temper and lost her mind as she spoke louder.
âI donât know the lives of the people are at the bottom of society, of course.
âAnd I donât need those experiences because we donât belong to the same class. So your soâcalled experience is nothing to me.â
Janeâs words upset some of the customers and waiters in the restaurant.
Especially the waiters, who were only ordinary workers. They were considered service staff at the bottom of society.
Janeâs high and mighty attitude upset them.
âMiss, please keep your voice downâ¦â
A waiter came over and said politely.
âShut up! What does this have to do with you?â
Janeâs outburst scared the waiter so much that they lowered their head slightly and apologized profusely.
âJane, why have you become this way?â
Willow frowned too. She could not believe how snobbish her friend had become.
âWhat have I become? Am I wrong?
âI donât need to see you lowlifesâ lives because I donât care. Got it?
âBut you should at least know that lowlifes belong where lowlifes belong, Sean.
âWhy do you have to humiliate yourself in such a highâclass place?â
Jane pointed at Sean, her face full of scorn.
âHumiliate myself?â
Sean looked up at Jane.
âAt least I know you canât order maximum well steak in a restaurant.
âYouâre used to eating maximum well beef, arenât you?
âYou even wanted to call the waiter over to order. How ridiculous.â
Jane sneered again as she spoke.
âNo one with half a brain will say that.
âWaiter, do you take orders manually here?â
Sean withdrew his gaze and looked at the waiter.
âYes, sir.â
The waiter immediately nodded.
âCan you make me an 80% well steak?â
Sean asked again without looking away.
âOf course.â
The waiter nodded again.
âDo it.â
Sean spoke.
âYes! Just a moment.â
The waiter turned around and left.
Jane stared blankly, her face turning red.
âWho says you have to have your steak medium rare?
âDo you really think youâre sophisticated by knowing some dining etiquette?â
Sean put his hands on the table and crossed them slowly. His tone was playful.
Jane was speechless.
She thought that Sean, a man with no money and status, would feel inferior in such a place.
He dared not say anything even if she taunted him.
However, she did not expect Sean to retort without mercy.
He even left Jane speechless.
âYou! Hmph! Youâre just a bumpkin.
âYouâre a lowlife! Youâre unsophisticated!â
Jane gritted her teeth in silence for a few seconds before being unreasonable again.
Sean shook his head slightly. There was no need to stay here if they disagreed with each other.
âJane, weâll get going. Weâll get together again some other time.â
Willow trusted Sean unconditionally, of course.
She did not have to please anyone, and she would keep her distance from anyone that Sean thought was unsuitable to be friends with.
âWeâve ordered our food. Are you trying to skip out on the bill?â
Jane gritted her teeth, feeling aggrieved.
âThatâs not what I meantâ¦â
Willow shook her head and tried to explain.
âThatâs enough. I was only taunting him.
âIâm not wrong. Heâs penniless anyway! Itâs the truth!â
