Chapter 1053
Summon Of The Sword
âWhat is it? What are you doing?â
Jon was stunned as he panicked immediately.
However, the men had no intention of explaining and simply restrained Jon.
âOkay! So youâre blatantly in cahoots with Sean.
âWhat are you arresting me for?â
Jon struggled hard, his face unconvinced.
Click!
There was a loud click. Jonâs hands were twisted behind him and handcuffed.
Before Quill knew it, he received the same treatment as Jon.
âThis is an approved arrest warrant for both of you.
âI can tell you clearly that you are under arrest.
The staff held up an arrest warrant and shook it in front of Jonâs eyes.
Jon was dumbfounded when he saw the stamped arrest warrant.
It was now a big deal!
They even brought an arrest warrant. It was already a criminal matter!
âWho⦠Who are you toâ¦â
Before Jon could finish speaking, he was pushed into the car.
Quill and Jon sat in two separate cars and were taken to the government building.
The government office.
Jon and Quill were interrogated separately.
However, Jon was uncooperative no matter what the other person asked.
âWhat right have you to arrest me?
âI indeed owe money, but I have a loan contract with them.
âItâs all written in the contract. Even if I canât pay it for the moment, itâs mostly a civil dispute.â
Jon sneered in his chair as if he knew the law.
âThis is a 300âmillionâdollar business fraud, yet you call it a civil dispute.
âEven if itâs a civil dispute, do you think youâll be okay?â
One of the staff looked at Jon solemnly.
âI didnât say I wonât pay it, so itâs not a business scam.
âWhereâs the proof that Iâm a fraud?â
Jon shook his head, denying it.
âSince weâve arrested you, it means we have enough evidence.
âSomeone reported you, got it?â
The staff shook their heads slightly with some sarcasm in their eyes.
âWhat proof? What report?â
Jon frowned slightly at this.
Instead of saying anything, the staff just played a video.
In the video, James sat in a chair, explaining something to someone.
Someone was transcribing the entire conversation and recording them at the side.
âZimmer Corporationâs Jon Zimmer contacted JenâBond Holdings about acquiring a piece of land in River City but being unable to complete the project himself.
âSo he wanted to cooperate with JenâBond Holdings to develop it.
âJenâBond Holdings spent a lot of money, manpower, and resources on this.
âBesides that, Jon has privately approached many companies for financing and loans.
âWe later discovered Jon has sold the development rights to the landâ¦
âJon transferred away the money JenâBond Holdings invested, the loans he made under the table, and the money he got from selling the development permit.
âJenâBond Holdings lost a lot of money.
âThis is business fraudâ¦â
James spoke clearly in the video; every sentence and word was like a bolt from the blue.
Jonâs fists clenched like he had received an electric shock.
Every word echoed in his ears like a land mine.
He did not expect his partner James to report him.
Everyone knew James and Jon were partners.
As his partner, he reported him to the government.
How credible was that?
It was no exaggeration to say that James singleâhandedly pushed Jon into the abyss from which he would never recover!
James had distanced himself from JenâBond Holdings.
Jon could not hear what James said later in the video.
His head was buzzing, and his face was pale.
He had only one thought in mind.
âItâs over!
âItâs over for the Zimmer family!â
âB*stard! James, you b*stard!
âSean, it must be your fault. Sean, you son of a bi*ch!â
Jon suddenly lost control of his emotions and slammed his cuffed hands against the table.
However, it was just a pointless struggle after all.
The banging on the table could not change the fact.
âB*stard! B*stard!â
Jonâs whole body was shaking.
He knew very well that Sean must have set this up.
James must have colluded with Sean and sold Jon out to clear himself from it.
Jon knew what was going on.
However, what could he do?
