Willow froze. It felt like a dream.

She even thought Sean was bluffing.

However, they would find out tomorrow whether Sean was bluffing.

Desperate, Jon and his family packed up to leave River City overnight.

He could not afford to repay the debt of three hundred million dollars.

His only option was to run.

“We’ll take the back road out of River City later.

“As long as we can get out of here and go overseas, we’ll be alright.”

Jon checked his phone before saying to Quill.

“Okay!”

Quill got into the driver’s seat and started driving.

Vroom!

The car started.

Swoosh!

At that moment, a light flashed in the distance.

The blinding light was like the sun in the sky, making Quill’s eyes ache.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Then several blinding lights came on.

They opened their red eyes like bloodthirsty beasts in the endless night.

“What happened?”

Jon asked quickly as he felt a pang in his heart.

“Somebody’s here. The headlights…”

Quill was no fool as he immediately guessed what the cars were here for.

Then he paused, put on reverse gear, and began to turn away.

Just then, several lights lit up at the back.

The road was blocked by cars at both ends.

Quill opened the window and looked around.

The roads around their villa had been blocked.

“Who are you? Why get in our way?”

Jon mustered the courage to get out of the car and swear.

Jon was confronted with an identification card.

“Mr. Zimmer, you’re blacklisted. Your freedom is restricted.

“So where are you going?”

A staff in uniform said indifferently to Jon.

“You! What proof have you got?”

Jon gritted his teeth slightly, despair welling up inside him.

“We don’t.

“That’s why you can stay in your villa.”

The staff replied with a faint smile.

If they had enough proof, Jon would be in jail right now.

“Do you think Mr. Lennon will make a stupid mistake like that and give you a chance to escape?

Zander slowly got out of the car and looked at Jon with a faint smile.

“You!”

Jon immediately recognized Zander as one of Sean’s men.

“You had a chance to escape earlier because Mr. Lennon wanted to give you a chance.

“But you didn’t appreciate it, so you can’t leave now.

“You can only leave River City when Mr. Lennon allows it.

“If he wants you to stay, you have no choice but stay.

Zander tapped Jon on the shoulder and spoke in a playful tone.

Jon gave up.

“Hmph! I’ll see what proof you can find!”

Jon spoke harshly and led Quill back to the villa.

As he said, Sean wanted to mess with him but had no proof.
