Xu Yang said, “I have a few questions I can’t figure out.”

Li Guangming said, “Go ahead, what are the questions? If I can answer them for you, I definitely will.”

Xu Yang said, “First question, if Mr. Xiang’s affair with a beautiful American actress and their illegitimate child is such a well-kept secret that very few people know about, how did you find out?”

Li Guangming smiled, “It’s just my luck. When I was studying in the U.S., I happened to be classmates with Mr. Xiang’s illegitimate son.”

Xu Yang said, “He told you? It doesn’t make sense for him to bring up something like that, does it?”

No one would advertise being an illegitimate child, it’s not something to be proud of.

Li Guangming said, “He didn’t say anything. I once went to his house and by chance saw a photo of him and Mr. Xiang together. I didn’t ask questions, but I quietly did some digging later on, even had someone stake out near his place. Finally, when I saw Mr. Xiang visit his house, I knew he was Mr. Xiang’s illegitimate son.”

Xu Yang, puzzled, said, “You were his classmate, not a detective. Why go to the trouble of investigating him like that?”

Li Guangming said, “I’m a curious person. Mr. Xiang is a big shot in Harbor City, and I wanted to figure out their relationship. Maybe one day I could use the information to my advantage. Besides, having someone follow and do some snooping didn’t cost much. If one day this information proves to be useful, then it’s a jackpot.”

Wang Xiaocong curled his lip, “Sounds like you’re just bored and itching for something to do!”

Li Guangming glanced at Wang Xiaocong, “Wang Xiaocong, unlike you, I’m not uneducated and wasting my time on useless things!”

Wang Xiaocong flew into a rage, “Who are you calling uneducated?”

Li Guangming curled his lip, “Are you not uneducated? Spending all day online, playing games, even being a guest on shows and showing off in front of the public. None of this is what a heir to a big corporation should be doing. If you’d spent all that effort on learning how to take over, your old man wouldn’t be so worried about your succession issues.”

It had to be said, albeit unpleasant to hear, Li Guangming’s words were quite reasonable.

If Wang Xiaocong had focused on the succession, taking over the Wan Da Group, and managing and developing it well, he wouldn’t still be messing around.

Xu Yang didn’t want to see them argue and said, “I have another question.”

Li Guangming said, “Go ahead.”

Li Guangming said, “At first, yes, but then he swooped in on a woman I had my eyes on, and that’s when we broke ties.”

Wang Xiaocong curled his lip, “Look at you, letting your lower half do the thinking. But then again, considering you did that thing with a black transsexual, falling out with a good classmate over a woman seems pretty normal.”

Li Guangming’s face darkened, “Wang Xiaocong, if you fucking bring this up again, we’re not finished!”

Wang Xiaocong wanted to say more, but Xu Yang stopped him and then addressed Li Guangming, “So, what you’re saying is, you want to use me to deal with Mr. Xiang’s illegitimate son?”

Wang Xiaocong nodded, “Exactly, and I hope the fiercer you two fight, the better. You said it yourself, our relationship isn’t great. Whichever of you dies, it’s what I want, and the best outcome would be both of you dead!”

This was an open conspiracy. Even knowing Li Guangming’s malicious intent, Xu Yang had no choice but to confront Mr. Xiang’s illegitimate son.

Xu Yang’s complexion darkened, “Your heart really is poisonous.”

Xu Yang asked, “What other identity does he have?”

Li Guangming explained, “On the surface, he’s a manager at Burton Investment, but in reality, he’s a secret member of the Beautiful Country’s FAI. You should know that the Beautiful Country’s temporary consulate in Harbor City is actually the intelligence center of the Beautiful Country, focusing on intelligence and sabotage. Xu Yang said, “Alright, you can leave now. But you’d better not let me find out you’re scheming against me again, or I won’t let you off the hook.”

His purpose had been achieved, so there was no need to stay any longer.
