Chapter 604: A Master

Xue Dalong immediately contacted the hotel manager, Chen Charlie.

Members of the 15K Gang were scattered throughout Harbor City, some inconspicuous and low-profile.

When needed, they would appear.

Being members of the 15K, they were already branded as gang affiliates, and to not help would be seen as betrayal, subjecting them to the retribution of the 15K.

As a gang member, Chen Charlie naturally did not dare to refuse when he received a call from Xue Dalong.

Arranging people to go in meant exposure, and it was certain that they could not work in the hotel afterwards.

However, with the many entertainment venues owned by the 15K, arranging a managerial position was not an issue at all.

Before long, Chen Charlie arrived with several sets of hotel waiter’s uniforms to meet with Xue Dalong.

“You guys put on these uniforms and pretend to be from the catering department; follow me in, and I’ll take you to Xu Yang’s presidential suite,” said Chen Charlie.

“No problem,” Xue Dalong and several brothers got dressed in the waiter’s outfits.

They were thugs, and even dressed as waiters, they didn’t look the part.

But it didn’t matter; the important thing was to blend in, they weren’t expected to actually serve food.

Chen Charlie gave a few more instructions before leading Xue Dalong and his group into the hotel, taking the elevator to the door of the presidential suite where Xu Yang and Wang Xiaocong were staying.

At that moment, Xu Yang was alone in the presidential suite.

Originally, Xu Yang had planned to leave in the morning.

But Wang Xiaocong had received another phone call, this time for a lunch meeting. Some friends in Harbor City had heard of his visit and wanted to invite him to a meal so they could all get together.

Wang Xiaocong couldn’t refuse and had no choice but to agree.

So, there was no option but to leave tomorrow.

Xu Yang felt it wasn’t right to leave on his own first.

Therefore, he decided to wait and leave with Wang Xiaocong.

He spent his time watching television in the hotel and browsing his phone, with both breakfast and lunch taken care of at the hotel restaurant.

He had no interest in exploring Harbor City and hadn’t even stepped out of the hotel’s entrance.

This was why Xue Dalong and his people couldn’t catch Xu Yang at the hotel entrance.

Hearing a knock at the door, Xu Yang went to open it.

He saw a middle-aged man in a suit and several waiters standing at the doorway.

The middle-aged man had a name badge on his left chest, indicating he was the hotel manager.

But these waiters didn’t quite fit the bill.

Despite being dressed as waiters, neither their looks nor their demeanor matched those of actual service staff.

Xu Yang didn’t think much of it and asked, “What’s the matter?”

Chen Charlie smiled slightly, “Good day, sir. I’m the hotel manager, and I have something to discuss with you. May I come in and talk?”

Xu Yang hesitated for a moment, then nodded, “Sure, come in.”

They all stepped into the room.

Xu Yang asked, “What is it? Speak.”

Chen Charlie didn’t say anything, instead he turned to Xue Dalong and his people and said, “The rest is up to you guys.”

His responsibility was simply to bring the men in; the physical confrontation was for Xue Dalong and his people to handle.

Fighting and killing were not his cup of tea.

Xue Dalong chuckled, “I know, just watch.”

Xu Yang frowned, “What do you mean by this?”

Hehehe!” Xue Dalong focused on Xu Yang, chuckling eerily, “Kid, someone wants us to cripple one of your legs. Don’t worry, we’re only going to cripple you, not kill you.”@@novelbin@@

Xu Yang’s expression darkened, “Who wants you to cripple me?”

In his mind, he immediately thought of two people—Sun Hongyang and his brother.

The only people he had offended since arriving in Harbor City were those two.

Without a doubt, it was one of them, or both brothers together who had arranged for these people to come.

Of course, it could have been Li Guangming, but that possibility was very slim.

If Li Guangming were to take action, he likely wouldn’t do it in Harbor City. At most, he would stir things up in front of Sun Hongyang and his brothers.

Xue Dalong sneered, “Kid, don’t ask so many questions. If you’re to blame anyone, blame yourself for being too arrogant and offending someone you shouldn’t have.”

Hearing this, Xu Yang became even more certain that his speculation was correct.

Chen Charlie frowned and said, “Get it over with quickly, let’s finish the job and call it a day!”

Truly, he didn’t understand why Xue Dalong was talking so much nonsense. They should just beat the guy up and get out of there.

Hearing Chen Charlie’s words, Xue Dalong also felt that he had indeed said too much, so he said, “Pot Head, you and the others, go subdue him. I’ll take care of him personally.”

Upon hearing this, his brothers immediately stepped forward to pin down Xu Yang.

At a time like this, Xu Yang was naturally not going to be polite, striking out with several punches in swift succession.

With several muffled sounds, a few thugs fell to the ground unconscious, not even managing to not let out a scream.

Xue Dalong and Chen Charlie were both startled.

Xu Yang was a martial artist, which took them by surprise.

“Kid, I didn’t expect you to be a martial artist. But even so, you’re still going to hit the floor for me!”

Although Xu Yang was formidable, Xue Dalong still saw him as inferior. He believed he could crush Xu Yang himself.

In the midst of talking, Xue Dalong immediately lunged at Xu Yang, his Tiger Crane Fist unleashing with a fierce intensity.

Xu Yang looked disdainful, and with one kick, he sent Xue Dalong flying.

Xue Dalong crashed against the wall, falling to the ground with a trickle of fresh blood seeping from the corner of his mouth.

“How is this possible!”

His face was a picture of disbelief.

Wasn’t the other party a trillionaire? How could he be a skilled fighter?

Chen Charlie stood frozen in place, equally filled with disbelief.

He had thought today’s task was very simple.

Just bringing people in was essentially all it took to accomplish the mission.

But he hadn’t expected Xu Yang to be a masterful fighter.

“You’re the hotel manager. Can you tell me what’s going on here?” Xu Yang stared at Chen Charlie and asked coldly.

“This has nothing to do with me. I only took the money to bring them here; you should ask them. I’m not getting involved anymore; I’m leaving first.”

With that, Chen Charlie turned around to leave.

“Did I say you could leave?” Xu Yang said coldly.

“Mr. Xu, this really has nothing to do with me,” Chen Charlie said, stopping in his tracks with a crestfallen look on his face.

“Do you think I’m an idiot? From your conversation just now, do you think I believe it’s as simple as you just taking the money? Tell me, who are you all? Who wanted you to cripple my leg?” Xu Yang demanded.

“I…” Chen Charlie opened his mouth but said nothing.

“It seems asking you is not going to make you talk,” Xu Yang walked over to Chen Charlie and kicked him to the ground, “Are you willing to talk now?”

Chen Charlie hadn’t expected Xu Yang to suddenly attack, and was caught off guard, crashing to the ground heavily.

Guided by the principle that a wise man does not eat losses before his eyes, he immediately got up and said, “Mr. Xu, I truly don’t know, please don’t hit me. Ask him instead.”

As he spoke, he pointed at Xue Dalong.

“Then you tell me,” Xu Yang looked at Xue Dalong.

“Hmph, I will not speak,” Stated Xue Dalong defiantly.

But a few minutes later, he no longer had the willpower to remain defiant.

“Ah! Stop, please stop, I’ll talk. Don’t hit me anymore, I’ll say everything!”

After being tormented by Xu Yang, Xue Dalong felt as though he was living in hell, in unbearable agony, and he couldn’t take it anymore.

“Speak up!” Xu Yang kicked Xue Dalong.

Not many people could resist his methods of torture.

A person like Xue Dalong naturally couldn’t withstand it and ended up spilling everything he knew.
