"You know you have to tell them soon right..." Caitlin chuckled lightly over Facetime as I held my head in my hands staring at my reflection in the mirror.

"I will— I just need to make sure i'm really ready.."

"JJ, they know you were in the portal — the only thing you need to say is you picked Uconn..."

I rolled my eyes huffing looking at the brunette on the screen, "I'm trying to avoid—"

"Why do you hate Paige so much, i told you—"

"It's not that I hate her Cait, quite frankly i'm trying to avoid her... She's — it's.. i don't know how to explain it."

"USA basketball — the crush... Cmon JJ, we were 16, you have crushes when you're 16."

"Oh and kissing your teammate is normal at 16 too?"

"It was a dare Jenn, i'm sure she doesn't even remember, let alone let it keep her up at night, and you've moved on, you had your flings and your 21, we aren't kids anymore.."

I groaned knowing she was right, "Okay but what about this— what if i see her and it all comes back, every little feeling."

"Then it does, and if it doesn't it doesn't.. You need to focus on basketball Jenn, not Paige."

I nod giving her a tight lipped smile, "Your right Cait— Listen i gotta go but thanks, i'm really going to miss you Clark."

"I better see you out on the court this year Jenn. Make Uconn yours."

I nod as tears swell in my eyes, "I love you."

"I love you more JJ."

As the phone hung up i let out a breath i didn't even know i was holding in myself, whipping my face i let out a loud groan only to look over at the clothes i haven't packed for move in tomorrow.

That can wait. I thought to myself as i begin to draft my official transfer post.
