chapter 23: Coming home

Twin Brother' Love ☑️

Kaino's POV

"Please, like can you calm down?" I sigh out seeing Parker pacing all around the living room.

"It's all so overwhelming, Kaino. I can't seem to control myself." He replies and I shake my head before getting up from the couch on which I sat.

"Okay then we'll not go until you calm down and be normal." I tell him while folding my hands as I stand in front of him.

He stops his steps and looks at me with wide eyes while our parents who sat on the couch watch us with amused eyes as if a scene is going on. Pup and berry are playing all around as they fight for the toys. After the call where we talked to our parents about adopting Moon few nights ago, today is the day we're finally bringing him home. So we invited our parents because we wanted them to be here when Moon arrives. All the necessary arrangements are made for his arrival. After the painting got dried, we put the baby bed and a cradle in the room. we don't know which one he would use so we brought both. We got toys and others things for him. Now, everything is ready only he has to arrive.

We're to go to the orphanage and bring Moon but suddenly Parker started getting nervous and I'm trying to calm him down.

"Why? I'm normal though." He denies as he wants to go.

"Yeah, we all can see that. Right, mother." I say sarcastically to which mother nods at me in approval.

"Okay, I'm a little nervous. But it's fine." He admits, his voice becoming low.

"It's not, what if you faint after going there. Madam and Moon would be worried, you want them to be worried?" I query and he bits his lips as he thinks.

"No, I don't want to worry them." He whispers and I nod, I know he wouldn't want to.

"I know, come on then, sit here." I guide him to the couch and make him sit next to mother.

I go to the kitchen and bring a glass of water to him. Giving it, I tell him to drink and take deep breaths to calm down. Few minutes later, when he comes to stable state, I then decide to leave.

"Shall we get going?" I still ask him so that I would know his reaction.

"Yeah, I feel better now. Still nervous but better than before." He responds and I nod with a smile.

"Mother, father, we'll be back with Moon in few hours." I inform our parents.

"By then we'll get everything done here." Mother says enthusiastically, talking about all the decorations she intends to do.

I smile at her and we make our way out as they walk along with us. When we reach the car, we get in and wave goodbye to our parents before I pull away from the parking area. From the mirror, I see them walking back into the house and I focus my eyes on the road. Parker sat silently without uttering a word. I was going to leave him be but then I thought he might end up thinking unnecessary things and end up getting nervous again. So, I start a small conversation to distract him.

"How is work going on?" I think about what to talk and ask about his work.

"It's fine, recently we signed a contract with foreign clients. I thought it would not only give good profits to the company but also increase our market in foreign." He answers me.

"That's good to hear." I state, happy to know our business is doing good, "so, what will you do after taking Moon with us?"

"What about him?" He asks me back, confused by my question.

"I'll be at hospital and you'll be busy with office work, so who'll look after Moon? Will he be alone at home waiting for us all day? Or do we appoint someone to care take of him in our absence?" I clearly put the question so that he won't be confused anymore.

He takes few minutes as he process my words and I let him. I see the directions, we're about five minutes away from the orphanage, by the time he answers we may actually arrive there.

"I want to take care of him by myself. I don't want to appoint someone because if it's that case he's just fine staying at the orphanage. What I want for him is not just to have a house to call as home because orphanage can also be his home as it provides shelter to him. But I want him to have parents like any other child and receive the love from them and I want those parents to be us. I'm not appointing some nanny to look after him. I'll be taking care of everything relating to him. If I'm busy at the office, I'll take him with me to work and when I'm not I'll stay with him at home." He replies and I listen to him after stopping the car as we already reached the orphanage.

I look at him with admiration. I know he loves Moon and is going to take good care of him but what I didn't think was him going to any extent for Moon. He's going to be a great parent.

"You're going to be a great father." I compliment him without hiding it and he's cheeks heat up at my words.

"I-its nothing, I'm just saying what I feel." He shutters and I chuckle because he looks cute.

"Shall we go inside?" I ask to which he gets surprised and glances out of the window immediately.

"We're already here?" He calls out surprised.

"We are. Let's go." I say and open the door as I step out.

Walking to his side of the door, I see him still sitting. So, I open the door and motion him to climb out. His nervousness is back and is very evident on his face. But I'm here to show him support and be with him all the time. Wearily, he gets out of the car and I close the door before I grab his hand in mine and squeeze it gently in assurance. He turns and gazes at our intertwined hands before his eyes land on my face.

"Shall me go in?" I query him with a soft smile.

He takes a deep breath and lets out a sigh before nodding at me, "yes."

With him saying that we walk into the orphanage together. Anticipating our arrival, everyone is standing in the living area waiting for us. In front stands Madam and by her side is Moon. A wide smile appears on his face when he sees us, more like when he sees Parker. Without waiting for a single second, he immediately runs to us and hugs Parker's legs. Parker glances down at him and a smile makes up his way without even him knowing.

I leave my hold on Parker's hand so that he can hold Moon. When I leave his hand, he instantly bends down and lifts Moon in his hands as he carries him up.

"I mis you." Moon says to Parker with tears in his eyes and places a kiss on Parker's cheek.

"I missed you, too." Parker replies with the same amount of emotion before hugging him tightly.

We give them a moment to themselves and few seconds later, Madam comes forward to us.

"Don't be so emotional, you're going to take him home now, aren't you?" She chuckles as she speaks to Parker.

Parker nods at her with an embarrassed smile.

"I can understand your excitement. I'll call the helper and ask him to bring Moon's things. He's too excited that he packed everything yesterday itself." She says while rubbing Moon's head who hide in Parker's shoulder.

"Sure, as he helps arranging Moon bags in the car, we'll give gifts to the kids." I tell her and she nods at me before calling out for a helper.

I walk the helper boy to the car and bring the gifts inside. Once all the gifts are in, he then goes to arrange Moon's luggage in the car while Parker and I give out the presents to the kids. Last time, I brought toys for them to play but this time we thought and decided to bring something useful and not just toys. So, we brought them books and stationary stuff so that those would help them to study.

After the helper arranging everything and we finish disturbing gifts, we wait as Moon bid goodbyes to Madam and his friends. He promises them that he would visit them after asking Parker. When he's finally done, Parker and I give our greets to Madam and bid goodbyes to the kids as we leave. Parker sits in the passenger with Moon in his lap while I sit and start driving. Waving at the kids standing at the gate, we finally leave the orphanage and make our way back home.

During the drive, Parker and Moon sits silently but this time I turn the radio on so that it would give us a cheerful feeling. The drive goes smoothly and in no time we reach our home. Parking the car, I get out and walk around. Parker already opened his door, I take Moon from him so that he'll climb out. Once he steps out, Moon immediately goes back to him and I go to the trunk to bring his things. While Parker carry Moon, I carry his luggage and together we walk to the door.

At the door, I see our parents standing there with wide smiles as they wait for us. We walk in and I directly go to the room which is arranged for Moon and settle his luggage there. By the time I come back to the living room, I see Parker sitting on the couch with Moon sticking to him while burying his face in Parker's chest and our parents gawking at him. I chuckle at their amused eyes, no wonder Moon is feeling a bit scared seeing them. Making my way towards them, I sit beside Parker on the couch.

"Don't be scared, Moon. They're our parents, our mother and father. They're your grandparents." Parker tells him while rubbing his back and Moon peeks at them.

They give him a lovely smile and wave their hands at him like little kids. That makes him feel at ease because he turns to them fully and smiles a big smile at them.

"Hello, Moon. We're so happy that you're here and going to be with us from now." Mother says with so much love in her eyes.

"Hello, madam. Moon is hppy too." Moon replies to her.

"Oh! Don't call me Madam. I'm you're grandmother, call me grandma." She waves at him, urging him to call her grandma.

"Oky, grandma." Moon agrees immediately.

"Oh, I'm your grandfather." Father chips in and Moon lets out a laugh when father makes funny face.

"Okay, we have so much to talk and we'll do that later. But first we need to eat." Mother states to everyone before looking at Moon, "Parker told me you like fish, so I made all your favorites."

Her words light up his eyes and he eagerly nods his head, ready to eat. Chuckling at his cute reaction, we get up as we walk to the dining table to eat lunch. We take our seats and Moon as usually sits on Parker. Mother serves us the food and we start eating with Parker feeding Moon. Whole table is filled with talks and laughter's. My heart feels happy taking in the scene in front of me. Everyone is happy and content and I hope it would be like this all the time, forever.
