chapter 14: Tease!

Parker's POV

At the table surrounded by people I don't even know, I sit nervously as I wait for Kaino to return. He just left a minute ago to bring me food and I sat here silently not knowing what to say to them. And I'm too embarrassed to talk to them because they teased us by making weird noises when Kaino told me to wait for him as he went to get me food.

"Hello everyone!" A high pitched voice gains our attention and I turn my head to see a lady walking to the table where I'm sitting.

"Whoa!! Who's this pretty guy? Did he join our team newly?" She asks the others as she stares at me in awe.

Though she's not giving me any bad looks, it just makes me feel a bit nervous because she keeps staring at me.

"No, Ria. He's Kaino's husband." The guy who talked to Kaino before saying he brought only one plate of food, tells her about me being Kaino's husband.

"Bloody! Seriously?" She questions them surprised so loudly that the people in the whole canteen looks our way and I close my ears at it's effect.

"The hell! Ria, why are you screaming like a retard?" Another guy scolds her but she doesn't mind him.

Instead she pulls him out of his seat and pushes him away and takes his place which is right in front of me and continues to stare at me. Poor guy, takes the empty seat that has not been occupied by anyone. What's wrong with her? Or is it that something is wrong with me? Why is she looking at me without even blinking? But thankfully before she could say anything more, Kaino returns with a plate filled with food for me. I look at him with a smile as he sits next to me and places the plate in front of me.

"Here, let's start eating now." He says not realising the new person's presence.

"Fucking hell! Kaino, why you didn't tell me about your husband? Omg!! He's so pretty, like where did you even get him?" She calls out and that's when Kaino finds out about her.

"Oh! Ria, you're here?" He states looking at her.

"Shut it. Don't ask about me." She responds before her voice goes soft and calm, "tell me about your husband."

"Oh, yeah. You don't know him, right. I actually brought him with me when we had the party after our trip from Japan but you didn't attend it as you had other works." Kaino says and I nod internally now understanding why I didn't see her before but I've seen the others at the party.

"This is Parker, my husband." Kaino introduces me to her.

"Hello." I greet her softly with a nervous smile.

"Omg!! Please don't smile at me like that, my poor heart can't take it. Kaino, please give him to me, yeah!" She says making me look at her strangely, she's so strange.

"Don't mind her, Parker. She's not right in her brain." Kaino chuckles earning laughter from the whole table while Ria just glares at him before going back to staring at me.

"Let's eat, we're going to be late." One of them says so we start eating.

The food tastes good even though it's made in canteen. Usually it won't taste good because they make it for a large number of people but still it's good here. And everything looks clean and neat. Maybe because it's a hospital they're maintaining the standard and hygiene. With small talks here and there we finish our lunch. Kaino's colleagues seem so nice and friendly. Even Ria, though she just speaks everything and anything she's still good.

"You want anything more?" Kaino queries me when we finish eating.

"No, I'm full." I tell him while looking at him.

He nods before leaning forward and rubs his thumb on my lips, "you got some sauce over there."

He said as he wipes my lips of any food remains. I stay still at his action. Heat creeps over my cheeks and though I can't see I'm sure my face turned red. And the fact that he has done it in front his friends is literally making it even hard. Adding to all those we hear a loud scream when he cleans my mouth.

"Ahhhh! This is so freaking cute!" Ria screams making me look at her, "Kaino, for real please adopt me as your child. Omg!! How lucky would it be if I become your child."

She squeals while clapping her hands and looking at us lovingly and I almost choke on nothing. Like, what is she even saying? Our child?

"Gosh! Ria, have some shame, will you?" The guy who she pushed away before groans as he shakes his head at her.

"Why would I? Just look them, they're so cute and being so lovely to each other. I wonder if they even keeps their hands off of each other." She says casually with dreamy eyes.

And this time I really choke on my water which I drank just before she spoke and Kaino pats my back. My God!! What is she even saying? We're still here, aren't we? She's speaking as if we're not. At least think about us if not for anyone else.

"Ria!!" Kaino calls out and I find him turning red at what she spoke.

Thank God, it's not just me who's blushing.

"Okay, I won't say anymore." She pouts as she keeps her mouth shut.

That being our final talk, we leave the table as we finished eating. While the others walk ahead of us, Kaino and I walk behind them. Ria turns back every now and then and looks at us with a wide smile. She's really creeping me out. We take the elevator and get back to the lobby.

"You guys get going. I'll be back in a minute." Kaino tells to his friends and they all nod at him as they bid goodbyes to me.

"You're going to send him off, right! Can I come with you?" Ria asks Kaino by making her eyes big.

"No, you're not going with them." One of them says as he pulls her away from us and drag her with them.

Kaino chuckles while shaking his head and I release a sigh of relief as she finally left us. Not that I didn't like her company but it's just that she doesn't have filters, she says anything and everything.

"Sorry about her, Parker. She's not bad just a little weird." Kaino says bringing my attention back to him.

"Ah, it's okay, Kaino. No problem." I tell him with a smile, "I'll get going then. You should also return back to work, right."

"Yeah, but I still have sometime. Let me walk you out." He replies and I nod as he walks us out.

"Bye, Kaino. I'll be waiting for you." I say as we reach the car.

"Bye." He smiles as the driver opens the door for me to sit.

I waves my hand at him as the driver pulls away from the hospital parking lot. I see him until he's in my eyes reach and pull up the window when we take a turn as I couldn't see him anymore. I sigh as I lean my back on the seat and close my eyes. I feel good, being able to spend time with Kaino and eating with him along with his friends made me feel good. But I kinda feel tired as today I have worked more than usual. Usually I just cook and lazy around as I used to stay at home. But today I went to work and travelled so it's effecting me.

Today being the first day at work, I actually didn't do much. After arriving at the office on time, I was taken to the cabin which is arranged for me by the personal assistant of my co-CEO, Ean. He then briefed me regarding the works that are going on at present. I was given few files and documents to go through and while I did that, Ean got busy with his work. After reading the files I got a better idea of how things are going in the company. By the time I was done, it was time for lunch. As father informed me before that I could leave early, I told the same to Ean who said he already know about it. So I bid my goodbyes to him and left the office.

While going back, I realized the hospital where Kaino works is on the way. As it was lunch time even for him and I didn't want to eat alone after going home, I asked the driver to drive to the hospital. I went inside and asked the receptionist for Kaino who told me to wait at the lobby for him. After almost ten minutes, Kaino came to me. He was so surprised seeing me and I cursed myself for coming here without informing him. I was going to call but I thought I would surprise. But when he said he felt happy all my worry faded and honestly this lunch time I spent with him is one of the best times I had after so many days. It felt good to be with people again. Though I'm not fond of crowd, spending time with people who are close to us is always good.

"Sir, we're here." My thoughts about earlier event comes to a stop as the driver calls me out.

I open my eyes and see that we already reached home. I nod at him and get down the car as he drives away. Father told me that the driver won't stay here, everyday he'll pick up and drop me from home to office and vice versa. As he goes away, I walk to the door and unlock the keys before going inside. I place the keys in it's place and see that pup is asleep on his bed. I too feel sleepy and sleep for an hour or two doesn't sound bad. So I lock the doors and head to our room. I change my clothes and wash myself before I plop down on the bed. Sleep comes to me immediately after my head hits the pillow.

I groan as I open my eyes when I feel something wet on my face. When I open my eyes I come face to face with pup who has been licking my face. I smile as I sit up and hold him in my hands. I nuzzle his soft belly before leaving him on the bed and climbing down the bed. I walk to the bathroom and wash my face off sleep. Grabbing the towel, I dry my face and leave bathroom. By the time I come out, I won't find pup anymore and knowing he left the room, I too make my way out.

I look at the clock to find it's just four in the afternoon. As there's still for dinner, I decide to have some coffee as I feel my head hurting a little. I make myself a cup of coffee and watch tv as I sit on the couch. Pup settles beside me and together we spend our time together.

Later that night, when it's time I cook dinner before feeding pup and I wait for Kaino to come home. A smile appears on my face as I hear his car horn and knowing he is home. I run to the door and open it as I wait for him. What I didn't expect was the next thing that happened, never in my imagination I thought he would do something like this.

That he'll kiss me.
