The decorations for the Sangeet Ceremony had already been started and Anshika would frequently come out to check the progress of the decoration. While checking upon the progress occasionally she would have Ruhan in her mind and the next moment she would feel enraged to even think about him.While sipping on from a soft drink glass as she instructed for the floral parts she found Ruhan approaching her which made her heart throb. She looked at him approaching but their eyes didn't meet. Ruhan looked at her once and then shifted his gaze."What does he think of himself?" She spoke to herself.With the corner of his eyes both of them looked at each other while helping around but no one talked.It was evening and everyone had got dressed for the Sangeet party. Anshika was dressed in a lahenga and had her hair open. "You've to dance the best Anshu!" Siya said."Of course! We'll be better than the guys!"The short conversation ended with a knock on the door.Anshika found out it to be Aditya and let him in while she got out."Someone looks so beautiful today." She heard a voice from behind and felt startled.Turning behind she found it to be Aditya's cousin."Thanks." She replied with a smile."Let's go out together?""Oh no, you continue, I've some work to do." She said finding Ruhan at the end of the patio looking at them."Surely."Once he left Anshika walked fast to reach Ruhan who also started walking towards her. In the while her lahenga got under her heels and she was about to trip when Ruhan rushed to catch her. His hands supported her waist as her hands embraced his neck. Their eyes locked for a moment as both of them felt each other's touch after years.Ruhan had his grip tight on her waist while Anshika's grip was firm on Ruhan's neck. She breathed hard out of the sudden fall and took a while to not to panic.She immediately got up once she realised the incident however they were still in each other's embrace."He was indeed right. Someone looks beautiful tonight." Ruhan left his grip just as he said those words to Anshika which made her leave her embrace as well.Ruhan walked off from there while Anshika stood quiet in the patio. She saw her leave as tears welled up in her eyes. With the corner of her fingers she caught them and sniffed."Why is he behaving like this? Why did he leave me when he shows that he loves me?"She didn't know how to react and thus went quiet. Composing herself she came out to the well lit garden being careful not to trip again. Siya and Aditya had already reached there. Avinash, Aditya's cousin was also there. He walked up to her as she came for a conversation.As he made his way towards Anshika she looked at Ruhan with the corner of her eyes who looked at her as well. Avinash came and stood beside her.
