Lily's Plan

The Light That Shines Within(Sneak Peek)

I guess this really happening.

"I don't live far. My suite is about 10 blocks down, " Eric remarks.

"Oh okay."

The car ride is silent. We make it to his penthouse. Of course it would be no less. This has be the most I've been around people with money, my entire life. Eric's place is on the 19th floor. I walk into the suite, and couldn't help hone in on the amazing view of the city.

"Wow, what a view!"

Eric is staring at me, doing a one over.

"Yes, Lily. You are quite the view to behold."

I feel a little weird from this observation.

Eric wastes no time. He walks towards me and rushes a juicy kiss to my lips. I kiss him back, but not as forceful. Okay, maybe I could get into this. He slips his tongue in my mouth. It's not controlled though. It's more like a sloppy dog kiss. As much as I want a cure for my dry spell, there's no way that's going to change tonight.

He grabs my left breast his his palm, and starts rubbing my nipple through my dress. I grab his neck for more leverage to push into his kisses. He kisses along my jawline and slowly down my neck. Then he lets out a big hiccup. That's it. All movement comes to a halt. Crap. There goes my mojo.

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay. Eric, nothing against you, but I can't do this."

"I was getting that feeling," Eric admits.

"Look, Matt and I had a bet that I couldn't go home with you. I just feel dirty. I won, but I feel ashamed. I should have never done that. It's not who I am. I guess it was liquid courage. Lily, please understand. I'm not like that."

Oddly, I could tell he was being sincere. It was the sound of being defeated. A sound I was familiar with myself. He didn't put off the vibe of a sleezeball being caught.

A light bulb went off.

"You're forgiven...but...Eric, I have a proposition for you. Nothing sexual."

"Uhh...okay."

"Matt deserves a taste of his own medicine. Let's just pretend we slept together. Pretend we had mind blowing sex. Brag to your buddies about it all."

"You want me to really do that?"

"Yeah, Eric."

"Lily, I'm not sure we should really do that. That's playing with fire. You've known Matt Bonner for a week. I've known him for 3 years. He's stubborn, can hold a grudge, and honestly have any woman he wants. What's it all going to prove?"

"Just think about it please. I saw you oogling Nadia. You might have a shot if she thought you were consumed with someone else. She seems to like a challenge. We would pretend it was a one night stand. Might do the trick."

"Okay, I'll think about it, Lily."

I took the subway home. Not one of my most brilliant moves at 3am. I made it home safe to my crummy apartment.
