Lucas had filled the fridge with sweet items, he was so happy because he also likes sweets which mean his daughters like what their daddy likes.Although Carol liked all Lucas's doing, but, she never wants to be dependent on others, so she has decided that she will start working after the babies are born.She will take responsibilities for her babies, she doesn't want their daughters to look after Lucas for anything. He will have his own family. This feeling was torturing her internally. She knows she doesn't love him but still she can't accept the fact that he will have a family with someone else.Today Lucas was hell busy in the office, he was trying to finish his work and clear his schedule for the next few days so that he can accompany Carol and his daughters.Carol had her dinner and went to her room, she was trying to sleep but unable to fall asleep. Poor Carol was unaware that her body was used to sleep in Lucas's arms.Tossing and turning she noticed it was already 10 pm and Lucas was not at home, she thought to call him but again she stopped herself thinking she doesn't have any such close relationship with him.All of sudden she felt a sharp pain in her belly, she cried out in pain, "Mom"Her mother came running after hearing her daughter's painful voice, when she entered the room she saw Carol tossing and turning on the bed in pain.She ran to her and said, "Baby it's ok, just calm down"Her mother immediately called Lucas.Lucas had just come out of the meeting room finishing a long meeting when his phone rang, seeing Carol's mother's number he felt panic and she never called him, he immediately picked the call.He heard her panicked voice, "Lucas, Carol is in Labor, please come fast"Lucas replied, "Mom, please hold on, I will be there as soon as possible" saying that Lucas hung up the call.He ordered his secretary who was following him, "Clear all the roads of my office to Caro's home and from Carol's home to hospital, in ten minutes"Lucas drew his car personally dismissing the driver, he just wanted to be with Carol at this moment, he wanted to share her pain.He reached Carol's home and heard her crying voice from outside only, he rushed inside and found Carol tossing and turning in pain on the bed.He immediately picked her in his arms bridal style and rushed towards his car followed by Carol's mother.They reached the hospital in ten minutes as the roads were already cleared as per Lucas's orders.Carol was directly taken to the labor room; the doctor asked Lucas, "If you want you can accompany her in the labor room"Lucas was confused about whether to go inside or not, will Carol be fine with it, he looked at Carol's mom and she nodded in agreement.Lucas immediately followed the doctor; as if he can feel the pain of Carol he ran and held her hand in his hand and said, "Carol, baby calm down and just follow doctor's instructions"Carol felt a little relieved when she heard Lucas's voice. She held his hands tightly and tried to follow the doctor's instructions.Lucas had tears in his eyes seeing Carol's condition, he decided he doesn't want to have any more babies, he cannot see her in such immense pain again.He will be happy in his small family, his Carol and their two daughters.Soon after Carol gave birth to both the girls, doctors congratulated Lucas, but he was so immersed in smoothening Carol's pain, he was continuously stroking her sweaty head.The lady doctor smiled and brought the girls in front of him, at this moment he saw the girl and the tears which he was holding from long started flowing uncontrollably.His hands were trembling in touching his daughters, he didn't dare to take them in his arms, and they looked so fragile he was scared that he might hurt them with his rouge hands.He kissed both the girls and the nurse took the girls away for initial checkups.Lucas turned to Carol, she was already unconscious, he kissed her whole face and said, "I love you baby, you are blessing of my life, thank you so much"The whole family was outside the ward, waiting for their princesses, and soon a doctor took both the girls out, all were so happy.Alex, Alice, and Carol's mother's eyes were dwelled up with tears of happiness.Carol's mother asked the doctor, "How is my daughter?"The doctor gave an assured smile and said, "She is fine and healthy"Alice frowned and asked, "Where is Lucas?"The doctor smiled and said, "He is accompanying his wife"Everyone felt so happy, Alice was very happy, she never thought that Lucas could change so much, he was always aloof and cold.Lucas didn't leave Carol's side till she was moved to the VVIP ward.Everyone was smiling seeing Lucas's nervous face, how love can change an aloof, iceberg in such a carrying and loving person.Carol's ward was filled with lots of people, when Carol opened her eyes, she found Lucas sitting next to her holding her hands.The moment she opened her eyes Lucas immediately stood up and started asking questions to Carol, "How are you feeling? Do you still have pain anywhere? Are you feeling uncomfortable?"
