He walked out of the hospital and called his secretary and said, "I want footage of my new mansion."His secretary hesitated and said, "President,....actu...actually we haven't placed CCTV cameras in that mansion till now"Lucas was so angry that his nerves were visible on his forehead and neck, he roared, "WHY THE HELL THERE ARE NOT CAMERAS THERE?"His secretary got scared, he had never seen his President like this, he replied, "P..President, you said you wanted the imported cameras for that mansion and you were specific about the best brand from Japan""We had already ordered but it was stuck in some custom duty and got delayed, we were about to get its delivery by next week""You all are useless" Lucas roared and hung up the call.He didn't know what to do now? From where to start? Who could do this with Carol? He wanted to go to the home neither office, his mind was a mess, two very important people in his life were lying on the hospital bed, and he could do nothing.Lucas was still thinking about where to go because he wanted to stay in the hospital with Alexa and Carol and unfortunately, he cannot be with any of them.His phone buzzed, he was irritated and received the call without seeing the caller Id and he heard Catherine's painful voice"Luc, I am in pain please can you come?" Lucas hemmed and hung up the call.Even though Catherine was in pain but still it didn't touch his heart, he really didn't want to see her face now, but for his baby, he will have to do it, he cannot be an irresponsible father.He asked the driver to head to the mansion where Catherine was staying.In half an hour he reached his mansion, he asked the maids, "Where is Catherine?"They bowed and replied, "Master, Mistress in her bedroom"Lucas immediately corrected them saying, "She is not the mistress of the house, you can call her by her name" he walked towards the bedroom after completing his statement.Poor maids, they knew that Catherine and Lucas were divorced, but Catherine behaved as if she was the owner of the entire William's properties and kept on ordering and shouting at them the whole time.Lucas opened the door and he was irritated to hell, what he saw in front of his eyes.The room was decorated with candles and rose petals, he was about to turn and leave because he understood it was all drama of Catherine to call him here.But Catherine came out of nowhere and held his wrist and said he seductive voice, "Lucas, please don't leave me alone, I want to talk to you"Lucas turned to her to tell her to leave his hands but when he saw her, once again he regretted loving her in the past.She had a lot of makeup on her face and she was wearing a cloth that was almost transparent.He didn't want to create drama in front of maids so he entered the bedroom and said coldly, "Tell me what you want to talk about?"Catherine locked the door behind him and held his wrist and said, "Let sit and talk, baby" and saying this she made him sit on the bed and she sat on his lap.He badly wanted to throw her from his lap, but he controlled himself only for the baby in her belly.Catherine wrapped his hands around her waist and said, "You know Lucas our baby kicked me for the first time today and I wanted to share this with you"Lucas slowly took his hands back and said coldly, "So you think this is important, so that you have to create drama to call me here?"Hearing Lucas cold words Catherine understood that he would not melt so easily, she smiled seductively and said, "Lucas, I am really sorry for calling you like this but you know I missed you so much""I just wanted to spend some time with you, you know today afternoon I had the dream, dream of the time we spent last time in your office"Catherine was trying to register in his mind that when she conceived this baby and she continued, "You know Lucas, I feel very happy that we made love that day in your office because I got our first baby"Lucas was listening to her without any interest, but what caught his attention was when she mentioned about the lovemaking at the office.He felt like she was trying to highlight that make-out session, Catherine continued keeping Lucas's hand on her swollen belly, "Luc, I was thinking that in two months our baby with be born in this world, don't you think we should get married again""So that we can give a complete family to our baby"Lucas smirked and said looking at Catherine, "Who gave you the guts to think that I will remarry you?"Catherine frowned and asked, "Lucas what are you saying, we both love each other and we are about to have our baby then why can't we remarry?"Lucas held Catherine's chin tightly and said, "You really think too high of yourself Catherine, I would prefer to stay single for lifetime than marrying a slut like you"Lucas jerked her chin and walked out of the bedroom leaving angry Catherine alone in the room.Catherine started throwing stuff out of anger after Lucas left, but after some time, something came to her mind and a vicious smile appeared on her lips and she murmured, "Just wait for tomorrow morning Lucas, you will definitely get Carol's death news""After that you will not have any option than coming back to me"Catherine was not aware that Carol was already caught by Alexa and was admitted to the hospital.Lucas after leaving the house went to his office and started working to divert his mind.The next morning Alex and Daniel went to the hospital, they were chit-chatting trying to keep Alexa engaged so that she doesn't think of James, but little did they know that even though Alexa was smiling in front of them, her heart was shattered thinking about James's behaviour.
