She was actually not bothered about her husband who was away from home for the last one month; she didn't even think of calling or messaging him for once.Again the statement, "They want to stay away from home in the name of higher studies so that they can enjoy every night with different men" rang in his mind.He never liked when Alexa left for London for two years in the name of higher studies, but now he felt like Alexa was also like these girls only so she went away from home in the name of studies so she can live life as she wants or would say she wanted to spend every night with different men.And this thought angered him to the extreme.On top of all these, he tried to come early, but on the way home, he was attacked by some rival gangsters and while shootout Olivia was injured.He was hell pissed, he took Olivia to the hospital, and thankfully she was not hurt much, a bullet just touched her lower abdomen and while leaving the hospital she was continuously leaning on his body which he didn't like at all.He was tolerating all this only because she took a bullet for him, he knew that Olivia had feelings for him but he doesn't like her, he wanted to throw her out of his gang but just because she was the daughter of his Dad's right hand so he was tolerating her.Little did he know that it was all done by Olivia, she had planted that people to talk all those stuff and make sure James hears it, and she had changed the report also in the hospital.The doctor had asked her to do the scanning because a bullet touched her lower abdomen to make sure that her womb was not injured.But when she saw Alexa in the hospital she went back to the gynecologist department and changed the reports after James left the hospital.James was already pissed at this moment, he was in thoughts only when the main door of the house flung open and Alexa stood there angrily with teary eyes.She walked in and before she could say something, James said sarcastically, "Oh! Fucking a new guy every night?"Saying this he started walking upstairs, he reached the first floor when Alexa shouted and followed him, saying, "So this is what you think of me, James?"She grabbed his arms from behind and said sadly, "So you think I am this kind of person, so you did this to me?" while saying she tried to give Olivia's pregnancy report in his hands and said, "This is what I got for loving you?"He took the report from her hand and said keeping it in his court pocket without looking at it and jerked her hands from his arms, and walked towards his room but his steps halted when he heard a known but panicked voice, "Bunny"It was Daniel's voice and he was running towards the start of the stairs, James also ran towards the living room and the view in front of his eyes skipped his breath beat, Alexa was rolling on the stairs and before Daniel could reach her, she was already lying on the ground floor wrapped in blood.James was stunned, he felt like his heart stopped beating for a moment, he forgot to react, Daniel who had just entered the house only saw how James jerked his sister's hand and she fell and before he could run and catch her, she was already lying on the floor injured badly.Daniel ran towards unconscious Alexa and lifted her in his arms and ran out of the house after giving a deadly glare to James.Everything happened so fast that James didn't have time to react; his mind froze along with his body.Even if he was angry at Alexa but he would never in his dreams think of harming her, but right now she was badly injured just because of his carelessness.Daniel rushed to the hospital as soon as he could, he again held her fragile unconscious body and ran out of his car once he reached the hospital, he shouted out for doctors and soon a team of doctors came and took Alexa to the emergency room.Alex and Alice were already in the hospital after hearing about Carol, they were accompanying Carol's mother.But their blood drained the moment they saw Alexa in Daniel's arms, Alex panicked and held Daniel's collar and said, "What the hell happened to my daughter?"Daniel was already irritated he jerked Alex's hands from his collar and said, "This all happened because of you, you married my Bunny to that cold hearted person, who didn't even thought for a moment before harming my Bunny"Alex was baffled hearing Daniel's accusation and he immediately understood it had something to do with James, he was fuming in anger, he wanted to kill James at this moment, how dare he harm his little princess.But at this moment first, he wanted to make sure that his princess was safe.
