Her lipstick was messed as if she had just kissed someone, Olivia passed Alexa giving a vicious smile.Alexa was unable to understand anything at this moment, but James pulled her out of her thought by saying, "come in"She walked inside and her eyes fell on the collar of James's shirt which had a lipstick mark of the same shade which Olivia was wearing.Alexa didn't want to believe what her mind was telling her, but everything was in front of her eyes, James and Olivia were kissing in the office behind her back.And James was behaving as nothing happened.She served the food for both of them without uttering a single word.James found it a little awkward so he tried to initiate a discussion, "Alexa."But Alexa was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't hear his voice and continued serving food on two plates.James was watching her silently, she was wearing a simple white sundress and she had applied a light pink lip gloss, she was unaware of how tempting her lips were to James.Looking at her lips James remembers the night of their engagement when he had kissed her soft lips. Unable to hold himself anymore he held Alexa's wrist and pulled her in his lap and kissed her soft lips which were torturing for so long.Alexa tried to push him, she felt dirty thinking that a few minutes back he was kissing Olivia and now he is kissing her.But all her efforts of pushing him went in vain, as James was much stronger than her, he trailed the kiss to her neck and tried to pull her dress off-shoulder.Alexa felt nausea thinking that he was with Olivia sometimes back, she pushed him with all her strength and stood up from his lap and said hurriedly, "I need to use the washroom" and before James could say anything she left his office.James wanted to tell her to use his office washroom, but before he could open his mouth she was gone.He waited patiently for half an hour, he regretted losing his control over him, he wanted to apologize for his behavior but after half an hour she didn't come back.So he called his secretary to look for her, and after some time his secretary informed him that she already left the office half an hour back.James immediately rushed out of his office and ordered his secretary to cancel all his meetings for the rest of the day.He reached home and rushed to Alexa's room (maid's room), the door was open he entered the room and saw her sitting on the bed and crying.He felt his heart breaking in a thousand pieces. He wanted to marry her and keep her happy forever but leave about keeping her happy, he is hurting her.He walked towards her and hugged her from behind and said, "I am really sorry Love, I lost control over me again, I promise I will never do anything against your wish, please forgive me this time... please give me last chance"Little did he know that Alexa was crying thinking about him with Olivia, she was upset thinking that he was cheating on her, she didn't say anything and kept on crying in his arms, and tired of crying she dozed off in his arms.He carried her to his bedroom and made her sleep on his bed gently, he came out of his room after covering her up properly and called his secretary ordering him to ask the maids, cooks, and all the staff to join back their duties.When he came back to the bedroom, he noticed Alexa's hand out of the duvet when he was about to cover her hand. He saw a few burn marks on Alexa's hands, he took her hand in his hand and kissed her palm, he regretted all his deeds.He always let her walk on eggshells, to be a good wife, but was he a good husband?She was the princess of her home and what he did to her, but she didn't back off with his challenges and did everything in her capacity to keep him happy, to be his good wife.Wherein the fact was he was not a good husband.He decided that from now onwards, he will give her all the respect that she deserves, now he will try to be the best husband for her, she will be his princess.He will give her all the happiness of the world.He changed his clothes, went to the kitchen and ordered the chef to prepare all Alexa's favorite food.When Alex woke up she found herself in a new room, she was familiar with this room, the moment she realized that it was James's room she jumped out of the bed thinking that James will be angry if he knows that she came to his room.At that moment, James entered the bedroom and said, "Love you are awake, I was coming to call you for dinner"Alexa was all confused with the way he was addressing her. He always called her by her name; he never called her "Love"Everything came to her mind what happened in the afternoon, she looked at James and said, "I freshen up in my room and join you"James stopped her saying, "Love, we are couples and this is your room as much as it is mine, all your clothes are shifted in this room, from now on you will be staying in this room"Alexa wanted to say many things but something stopped her, she turned around and went to the bathroom.She was in deep thought, because of the changed behavior of James.Now it's hard for her to trust him, after the afternoon event.She freshens up and goes downstairs where James was already waiting for her in the dining room.She went and sat on a chair that was far from James, seeing her sitting far from him, he felt a little hurt, he knew she was still angry for the afternoon.He stood up from his chair and went and sat next to her and started serving food to her.Alexa didn't say anything throughout the dinner, and James was looking at her eating silently.After finishing dinner Alexa returned to the bedroom and slept on the sofa, she doesn't want to share the bed with James.Even if she loves him, she would not give him the right to hurt her like this, she will have her dignity.When James entered the bedroom, he frowned at first seeing Alexa sleeping on the sofa, he felt irritated.
