15. Nightmares/Truce
The Emergence Of The Alpha Twins ( UNDER REVISING )
I am so sorry about the hacked thing. "Ghost" is stupid and always messing with things. But, if you all want me to leave it there I will. I just wanted to ask first. Also-
There'll be some VIOLENT and very...DISTURBING things that'll appear in this chapter. So if that stuff just freaks ya the heck out - I wont say I didn't warn ya. ðð
"Ahhhhhhh!" My scream echoed in the cabin as I was caved between Dexter and Ernest. Their bodies hugged me as I was in darkness as their bodies hid me from the sight I only saw for a few seconds.
They were snarling as I kept screaming, afraid to look up as I didn't want to see the sight. I only wanted to be stuck between their bodies and feel their warmth radiate off onto me.
"Renee! Calm down!" They were shouting as they tried to make their voices get over mine.
"I - I can't! Make it go away!"
"Get. Up!" Dexter stood as he grabbed my arm, yanking me up with powerful strength.
As I now stood, I was looking at the horrid scene that beholded me.
The sight of human bodies laying pile after pile in the center of the rooms. Slashes that were all over their body as I saw maggots eating their flesh.
Some wolves were laid next to each other as they were gutted, flesh in piles as I could tell it was recent. The smell made me want to gag as I fell into one of the twins, not sure which.
There was even a wolf skull that laid with old cloth wrapped around the snout and back. In the eye sockets was a glowing red that pierced me eyes, and I saw myself coughing up blood.
"Do not look in the eyes of the Elder Alpha! He might be dead but his alpha powers still live in him because a werewolf hasn't been here to claim them. Now," Ernest shoved me onto the ground next to it as I screamed, backing away from a dead body as it had no eyes.
"Pick up the skull, look into the eyes, and do not look away no matter how painful it is."
"What!?" I cry, their eyes black as they have off a wave scent of rage and fury.
"Do it!" They both yelled, I just cried as I picked up the skull. I placed it in front of my face as I looked into the red glare of the light.
As I stared nothing happened, almost becoming calm as the redness was kinda soothing. Oddly enough I was enjoying the little glare of the red, and I sat on the ground, looking.
"Nothing is happening."
"Be patient. It doesn't happen instantly. We're already alphas, now it's your turn to steal his." When they said that I found my hand shaving the gold dust flow into the skull. Slowly, the skull was crumbling into the ground.
My mouth was gaping like a dumb fish as I looked to the twins, their eyes blank.
"Expected just as much. I guess you'll have to earn your Alpha powers by killing one."
"Um, isn't there a better way? Instead of killing?"
"Yep. Being a True Alpha, but...that is one out of a million werewolves. That'll never happen." The twins scoffed as I sneered, standing as I stood next to them.
Now that we were here, what now?
"Right now, we need you to get Liam back on your side so that he will tell you things he wouldn't typically tell someone else. He doesn't have any friends - I wonder why."
"But he does seem to think of you as something in that small little space in his heart. Just...do what you think he'll like."
I nodded, standing as I went back into the room we left him in. When I saw him he was in the corner, his face blank.
"Liam?" I called his name, making his head twist over towards me as he looked away. I walked to him as I sat in front of him, my mind racking on how he's feeling.
"Liam...I know we barely know anything about each other, but talk to me. I've heard things about you, but I want to know things about you - coming from you." I touched his knee as he twitches away from my touch.
But then I touched his knee again and he stayed still.
"You're the first person that has ever wanted to hear my side of the whole story... But everything Dexter and Ernest have told you, is probably true. I did go after them when I was a teenager. But I was naive and tried to prove myself to my family. Since I was never really into killing werewolves-."
"Wait! You don't want to kill werewolves, it's to prove yourself?"
"Yes. I don't want them dead, I don't want you dead. I have to put on a fake persona of myself and be what my family wants me to be. Wait a minute - why am I telling you this!" He began to stand but I grabbed his wrist, yanking him back down with unbelievable strength.
"You're telling me this because you trust me. We're friends, like you said in the elevator. I might be one of them now, but that doesn't change who I am on the inside. Think inside the box, not out." I smile, making him grin lightly as he looked away.
His eyes diverted to the open door and he sighed, resting his head against the wall.
"You guys saw it, didn't you?" His voice was light, almost a whisper as he had his eyes closed. He laid peacefully against the wall and I looked down, to see that my hand was on his wrist still.
I was relaxing him, and he wasn't in his angry state anymore... I scooter next to him as I laid my other hand on his shoulder, making his eyes flutter open.
"I saw it. It wasn't pretty, I will tell you that yessiree!" I playfully made my voice sound childish as he chuckled.
"I'm sorry. I will say, I was not responsible for that, I only do the killing and my older brother and older family members do what they want with the bodies. I - trust me - never once agreed to that. I thought it was to help the world, only to learn it was for sport..." He drifted as I removed my hands, now rubbing his arm.
"Do you wanna be a good person and help us out a bit? Forget about the twins, become allies and prove everyone wrong. And then, we don't have to worry about our throats being sliced any second." I tried encouraging him, his eyes glancing at me as he shrugged.
"I guess." He was now trying to stand and I stood with him. We walked into the area with all the bodies, seeing Dexter and Ernest propped up against the wall.
I looked at Liam, his eyes looking at me as he dug in his pocket. The twins started growling, but Liam pulled out two knives, throwing them like darts as they landed in the center of a wolfs skull.
"I am calling truce, I want to become partners with you. Can we stop being enemies...?" I could smell Liam's scent he was giving off, and he was being honest.
His heart rate was calm and he was uneasy as he waited for his response.
"Okie Dokie." Ernest stepped forward and clasped Liam's hand, smiling as he patted his shoulder. Dexter was the one still glaring as Liam waited, his right hand still waiting.
"I don't take kindly to people that try to murder my family or anyone important to me. So, if this is some kind of game and a lie, I'll make sure you can never see the world again. Got it?" Dexter clasped his hand with Liam's, grinning a toothy grin.
Now, we were all together.
Until I heard a howl echo in the woods and our heads whipped to the sound. My eardrums popped as it ran throughout my ears and I was twitching now.
"Renee resist the temptation! You're in our pack, ignore the call!" Ernest grabbed my arm and covered my ears.
But I could still hear the howl as it urged for me to come.
'Calling of all omegas and betas! Come to me! I am of need of a good pack, if you do, you will be rewarded!'
The deep male voice was promising everyone that was a beta or omega something. I don't know what it was, and I don't want to find out.
By the time the howling stopped I had blood trickling down my ears as I collapsed onto the ground. Remembering the sign of Dexter and Ernest's shoes.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! What did I do?! A darny darn cliffhanger! I just can't seem to get away from those things! You all know it isn't personal, it's not you...it's me... Ha! Just kiddin!
Luv ya!
