Did he just rejected my kiss?

How dare he?

I walked towards him and looked at him with pure hatred in my eyes.

How dare he humiliated me like this?

"Why?" I asked feeling low and humiliated.

He didn't say anything instead he opened the door for me to get out.

Tears were forming in my eyes.

How could he be so cruel?

You were stupid enough to give in...

I walked out from there and closed the door behind me loudly.

I hate you James Ashton.

And I hate myself more...

Why did I give in.. God!

Now he will think that I am falling for him.

But it is true...

No..

I hate him..

I was sitting in my office,  busy in my work when I heard a knock.

"Come in." I said looking at the monitor.

"Hey! What's up?" Jack asked as he took the seat infront of me.

"Hey! I am very busy. How are you?" I said sipping my coffee.

"I am totally fine. I know you are busy these days but now you have to  took some time off from your busy schedule and attend a party at my home tomorrow." He said sternly.

"Party? Any reason for that?" I asked in excitement.

"It's a secret." He winked at me.

I narrowed my eyes.

"Either you tell me the reason or I am not going to attend it." I shrugged.

"Hey this is not fair. You will have to come and she wants to give a surprise to all of you." He explained.

She?

"Who is she?" I raised my eyebrow and he laughed.

"I am very bad at keeping the secret. Okay fine. I am getting engaged and my would be fiance wants to give a surprise to all of you." He said.

"Do I know her?"

"You all know her. Now if you please don't reveal the secret to everyone please." He said and stood up.

I too stood up and went to him. I hugged him.

"I am very happy for you. I hope that girl makes your life beautiful." I pulled away and he gave me a sweet smile.

It was only fifteen minutes after Jack left from my office that Lucy entered shivering.

"What happen?" I asked in concern.

"Umm...he wants..you to bring him the coffee." She said fidgeting with her fingers.

"Why? What's the matter?" I asked in a confused tone.

"I don't know...but he is furious and he wants it now..." She uttered.

"Hmm..fine. I am coming." She went out of my office.

What has happened to him suddenly?

I was ready with the coffee and went to his office.

I knocked and then entered.

I saw the broken cup on the floor which he might have thrown a few minutes ago.

I looked at him and he was already looking at me.

I averted my eyes and with a stern expression I walked towards his table and put the cup.

I still remember last night when he rejected my kiss.

I was about to turned around when he said.

"What was your best friend doing here?" He asked without showing any emotion.

"He came to invite me for a party." I said.

"And how many times will I have to tell you that I don't want to see any outsider in my building?" He said while hitting the table with both of his hands and stood up.

I Jumped at his sudden action.

"Then you should have ordered your guards to not let any outsider inside the building." I said the fact.

He glared at me but said nothing.

I waited for few seconds then turned around to leave.

My hand touched the door knob when I heard him say..

"You are not going to that party."

"You are no one to order me around." I said without looking back and turned the knob.

I heard the footsteps behind me but I didn't stop, I was walking towards Melissa who was looking behind me.

As soon as I was in the corridor, I was pulled hard by him and I was pressed to his hard chest.

"When I said you will not go then I think you should obey my words."

"Oh really? What are you? My father?" I said and tried to free myself.

I heard another footsteps and then it halted.

"Umm.. Sir.. I came here to.." the guy stopped as James started.

"Melissa this is your last warning if anyone else except the people working in this floor entered this floor again then I think I might start thinking of appointing a new receptionist." He said it aloud making me cringe not in fear but his ear teasing noise.

"I'm sorry sir." I heard the guy say and left from there.

"Leave me." I said while gritting my teeth.

"I hope my words registered in your brain or else I don't know what I am going to do." He said and pushed me away before going back to his office.

I stumbled a little but maintained my balance.

How dare he challenged me like this.

It's my choice if I want to go or not.

And I am going.

Do whatever you want to do.

I was getting ready for the party but my heart was hammering.

How will he react when he will come to know that I am going?

What will he do?

If he did something stupid..

Or if he..loses his temper and...hurt me?

But.. he can't force me like this...

He is no one to me.

I took my purse and went out of my room.

I went to the main gate but the guards were not letting me to go outside.

"But why am I not allowed? And who gave you this order?"

Ofcourse I know who gave you the order.

Suddenly I heard the car horn. I turned around to see the SUV and there he was sitting in the driver seat.

I was beyond angry that I was not allowed to go outside the building and here he was igniting my anger by continuously horning the car.

I held my purse hard and started walking towards the elevator.

Suddenly someone held my hand.

"Don't you want to go to the party?" He asked raising brow.

"Leave me." I jerked my hand away and started walking.

He again held it and pulled me to him.

"Sit in the car." He said but his eyes were fixed on my lips and I shivered without knowing my own feeling.

"Why?" My voice betrayed me.

"We both are going to the same party." I looked at him in puzzled when he continued. "He invited me too...but I don't know why." He said his eyes narrowed towards me.

"I..also don't know the reason." I said and averted my eyes.

"Surprise! Surprise! Why not I give him a surprise?" He said while his hands clutched my arms tightly.

Ouch!

It hurts...

"James..."

"Let me see what surprise is awaiting us but if... If it involves you then might be tonight will be your last meeting with him." His fingers were digging into my flesh.

I yelped in pain and he pushed me away.

I looked at him. He was looking furious.

But why...

"Go and put on a jacket." He said without any emotion while looking at my arms.

Why is my tongue blocked?

Are you scared of him?

Or are you scared of what he might do at the party?

I nodded and went to the elevator.

I looked at the mirror.

I was examining the marks he just gave me when I saw his reflection in the mirror. I shuddered at his pres in my room.

"What is taking you so long?" He asked.

"Umm..nothing." I pulled the jacket and took my purse.

We walked out of the room and he locked it with his card.

I looked at him in shocked.

He is having the key of my room?

He didn't say anything and started walking.

I followed him towards his car.

"Why is Mason not driving today?" I asked.

"None of your business." He said it coldly.

Why is he like this?

Tears started to threatened to spill out from my eyes.

No no no! Don't be weak infront of him.

But why is he so rude towards me?

I asked a simple question and he denied giving the answer.

And what about my business? Why does he always interfere in my business? Why is he controlling me and my life?

And when I am trying to understand him... At least I am trying to cope up with him but he.. he still treats me like a trash...

Why?

My mind started replaying the past with him, everything he did to me and tears find his way out.

Thankfully we were already at our destination.

He stopped the car and looked at me but before he could see anything, I opened the car door and walked quickly towards the entrance.

I rang the bell and Jack opened it.

"Hey! Liza. Welcome." He gestured with his hand and I entered to see Ben and Dave already sitting on the couch.

"Hey beautiful! How are you?" Dave asked and Ben hugged me.

"I'm fine. What about you?" I asked looking at both of them.

"We are excellent." He smiled brightly and kissed Ben on her forehead.

That gesture ignited my tears to come out again but I controlled it.

Why can't James be like Dave?

"Mr. Ashton. Welcome please." Jack said and I felt him beside me.

I left the place and walked towards Jack's parents.

"I am very glad that you came here. It means a lot." Jack said and extended his hand towards him but he ignored him and walked towards Dave.

Jack looked at me and I gave him a sad smile.

He is James Ashton and he will never change.

I sighed.

There were only ten or eleven people at the party.

"I think everyone is here now." Jack exclaimed.

"Are you sure?" I asked feeling confused.

Where is the girl?

He said this was his engagement party but...

There was Ben who was already engaged. A girl was there but I assumed she was married to the guy with whom she was sitting. There was only one single girl and that was me.

My eyes widened and it automatically went to him.

I could see he was still angry.

No..

It is not possible.
