King's Landing
Lynoras chambers
It's been weeks since Ser Criston Cole left the capital with Daemion and Gwayne. Everyone was on edge of what news they might bring, but Lynora Lannister found herself releasing her breakfast in her chamber pot.
"My queen?" Lylla called out.
"I'm alright. I just ate something that didn't agree with me. Leave me at once." Lynora commanded.
"Yes, your grace." Lylla left the Lannister queens chambers.
Lynora managed to stand up and removed her dress. She then looked at herself in the mirror and immediately noticed the change on her body. A small bump was on her belly. Queen Lynora Lannister was pregnant with her third child.
"Gods." Lynora was afraid. Not because she was pregnant, but because she didn't know if this child would belong to her husband, Aegon, or her late lover, Ser Arryk. She then heard a knock on her door. "Wait! I'm not dressed!" Once Lynora got dressed in her robe, she allowed whoever was at the door to enter.
"My apologies, your grace." Aemond said. "I've come to tell you that the king has called a meeting of the small council."
"The king himself could not tell me?" Lynora asked.
"I... I wanted an excuse to see you, your grace." Aemond blushed.
"Aemond-" Lynora tried to protest.
"I know." Aemond interrupted. "We can't, but now that I've told you how I feel... I cannot ignore it."
"What about Aegon?" Lynora asked.
"My brother is a fool. He doesn't deserve you." Aemond said.
Lynora smirked and walked closer to you. "How do you know what I deserve?"
"I've been watching you, your grace. Studying everything about you. I know you like black orchids. You have a weakness for mutton." Aemond chuckled. "I know that you hate your nameday because it was the same day you lost your mother, and I know that you love children... apologies. Your daughter more than your own life, but deep down you long to be loved and feel loved by another."
"You really are a good study, my prince." Lynora said.
"I notice everything about you." Aemond said.
Lynora smiled. "I do want you, Aemond, but I can't betray Aegon."
"I understand, your grace." Aemond said.
Duskendale
"Men of House Darklyn. All who bend the knee to the true king, Aegon, will be spared.
You can earn back your honor by raising his banner and fighting in his name against the Whore of Dragonstone. All who refuse⦠will have their death. Good morrow, Lord Darklyn." Ser Criston said. With the help of his army, Ser Criston managed to sack Duskendale and take the castle.
"Is there no honor left in this world, Cole?" Lord Darklyn asked. "Sacking your queenâs own castles and putting her people to the sword? "Kingmaker."" He spat at Ser Cristons foot. "You are not fit for the white cloak."
"This is a better death than a traitor deserves.
You should thank me for it." Ser Criston said
"Yours will come in kind." Lord Darklyn said and with one swing, the Cole knight removed lord Darklyns head with his sword.
"Lord Hand." Ser Cristons squire came to him and gave him a letter.
"Weâll lead the van northeast, follow the coastline." Ser Criston said as he mounted his horse.
"I realize you were neither born nor bred
anywhere near the Crownlands, my good Lord Hand, but Harrenhal is to the west." Gwayne pointed out.
"Indeed it is." Ser Criston said and rode his horse to Daemions. "Did I offend you when I called your mother a whore?"
"You do understand that she made you the whore right? Just as you did Alicent. " Daemion said.
Ser Criston sighed. "When the fighting starts, stay at my side."
"You're 20 years too late to be a doting father." Daemion said.
"His grace king Aegon has charged me with protecting you. Your safety is paramount." Ser Criston said.
"Whatever you say, Lord Hand." Daemion smirked and rode off.
King's Landing
Small council chambers
"Fuck you. I told you we shouldâve sent our dragons. And now look whatâs happened.
Daemon, of all people, has taken Harrenhal.
I give you a job, and now you just sit there.
Itâs your fucking castle!" Aegon yelled.
"Well, that castle is more crippled than I am, your grace." Larys Strong said. "Itâs like to drive Daemon to madness as he attempts to make use of it. It is beyond his faculties. It is also penniless, as I happily control all of its gold. So, as Harrenhal saps Daemonâs resolve, the false queen remains trapped on her island, and Ser Criston and Daemion continues felling castles in the Crownlands."
"Wh... I need to be informed of these things if I am to make informed rulings. I will not be made to look a fool in front of my allies and enemies." Aegon said.
Aemond spoke up. "Harrenhal must wait.
Ser Criston and Daemion are marching on Rookâs Rest."
"Rookâs Re-A pathetic prize. I gave no such commandâ" Aegon was interrupted.
Aemond rose up. "The castle is small, weakly defended, and Lord Staunton sits on Rhaenyraâs council. After Cole smashes it, weâll have Dragonstone effectively cut off by land. This war will not be won with dragons alone, but with dragons flying behind armies of men."
"No! Have him turn about. I want Harrenhal back." Aegon said.
"Cole and Daemion are already preparing their attack." Aemond sat back on his chair.
"Uh, how-how do you know this?" Aegon asked.
Aemond smirked. "Cole sent word to me."
"To you? The three of you have been plotting... without my authority?" Aegon asked.
"Gaoma oznehurkta mÄ«rÄbagon aÅ bÄvules. Lo koston, qurdalbri pradagon, brÅziapot aÅle iderÄbagon, se Ä«lvo DÄromÄ«sȳrto mittiri piktÄ« ivÄttegon." (You had more pressing matters to attend to. Such as holding court, choosing your sobriquet, and naming imbecilic lickspittles to our Kingsguard.) Aemond said. "Sylvikton kȳvanon emÄ, dÄrys ñuhys? Lo iksos, aÅho sytiotÄpȳnto ūī vestragon avy sytilÄ«bas. AÅhon udlinon gierÄ« jumbi." (Do you have a wiser strategy, my king? If so, you should voice it to your council. We all await your answer.) He could see Lynora smirking at him. Aemond had the queen where he wanted her.
"Nyke koston⦠emagon⦠mazverdagon iÄ vÄ«lÄ«bÄzma? "(I canâ¦Â Have toâ¦Â Make a war?) Aegon asked and Lynora chuckled. The Lannister queen had taught herself some high valyrian ever since she married Aegon. She also started teaching Jaehaera and Jaehaerys before her was murdered.
"Mm. Harrenhal is a useful morass.
It will keep Daemon well-occupied while we strengthen our host and weaken Rhaenyraâs support on the mainland. We will deal with it in the Riverlands in time. But right now. Rookâs Rest is an easy target and a worthy effort. Donât you agree, my king?" Aemond asked.
This made Aegon stay quiet for the duration of the council meeting. Even Lynora had more insight than the young king.
"Your grace?" Lord Larys called Lynora as she walked in the Red Keep.
"Lord Larys." Lynora greeted.
"I wish to tell you that you were a true queen in the council. I would dare say that you rivaled queen Alysanne herself." Larys stated.
"Thank you, my lord." Lynora said.
"Your grace." Aemond called out.
"My prince." Lynora smiled.
Aemond glared at Larys and the clubfoot bowed and left.
"Apologies. I don't like the way he looks at you." Aemond said.
"I don't notice how he looks at me." Lynora said.
"Truth is I can't blame him." Aemond said.
"Aemond-" Lynora was cut off by Aemond.
"You handled yourself well in the council." The one eyed prince said.
"Thank you, my prince. I must admit I was nervous." Lynora said.
"You did well." Aemond said. "Your grace, I wish you discuss my plans with you, privately."
"Of course, but first I must speak to the queen. I haven't seen her all day." Lynora said.
"Yes, your grace." Aemond bowed his head.
Alicents chambers
"I heard you weren't feeling well." Lynora said as she entered Alicents chambers.
"Indulgence was my sin, daughter-in-law." Alicent said as she held a cloth against her belly.
"Mm. I never had a... womanly figure to teach me anything. I lost my mother very young as you know and my aunt was more wicked than her husband." Lynora said. "When I first came to the capital, you showed me kindness. I knew it was only because Heleana wasn't here, but it still filled my heart with joy knowing that someone cared about me. You were the mother I needed."
"You're kind to say so." Alicent smiled and sat down on her chair.
"I don't think I could ever forgive you for Jaehaerys and you have my word, I won't tell Aegon or Aemond about you and Ser Criston. He's the only father they've ever had." Lynora said.
"I thank you for sparing my sons." Alicent said.
"I... I need to tell you something." Lynora said.
"Of course." Alicent eagerly waited.
"I'm with child." Lynora said.
"I... I didn't know that you and Aegon were trying to have children." Alicent said.
"We weren't. I... I'm afraid." Lynora said. She knew that there was a chance that the child she was carrying wasn't Aegons and she was afraid of what Aegon would do if he found out.
Alicent looked at the cup of moontea that she drank a few hours ago. "I'll have Grandmaester Orwyle prepare a tea for you. Having a child during a time of war can only bring death and heartache for a mother."
"Or you can help me leave." Lynora said. "I wish to take Jaehaera away from here. From all the death and fire that will inevitably reign upon us all."
"W... what of Aegon?" Alicent asked.
"I tried to love him and I did when Jaehaerys and Jaehaera was born, but he's not the man I thought he was." Lynora said. "I need to protect what I can."
Alicent nodded. "Everytime I look at you, I wish I was as strong. I wish I had someone to talk to. Give me time and I'll make the arrangements."
"Thank you, Alicent." Lynora said and left the dowager Queens chambers.
Lynoras chambers
"Lynora please." Aegon begged.
"No." Lynora said.
"I'm sorry. I was drunk." Aegon tried.
"That's the problem, Aegon. It's your excuse for everything." Lynora said. "I needed you. Jaehaera needed you and you yelled at her. She adores you and you spoke to her as if she was one of your whores. I can't ignore that."
"I... i didn't know what I was thinking. I lost Jaehaerys-" Aegon was interrupted by Lynora.
"We lost Jaehaerys, Aegon! We!" Lynora snapped. "I know you loved him more, but he was mine as well. He was Jaehaeras twin brother. Our daughter needed you and pushed her aside as if she was nothing. How can I trust you after that?"
Aegon sighed. "I wasn't ready to be a father. The truth is I'm still not. I saw Jaehaerys as someone to teach what my father never taught me. He loved Rhaenyra to much that it spread to her children. You never saw him with Daemion, but I did. It was as if that dark-haired bastard was his son."
"It doesn't excuse your behavior, Aegon." Lynora said.
"I know, and I see that now." Aegon said. "All I ask is one more chance."
"I can't give you an answer now, but if you treat Jaehaera the way you did before I will take her far away from you and you will never see either of us again." Lynora warned her husband.
"That is fair." Aegon said.
"Now please leave me. I have to bath." Lynora said.
"Of course, queen." Aegon left his wife's chambers.
After Lynoras bath was drawn she removed her clothes and touched her flat belly.
"I'm going to get us out if here. You, me and your sister." Lynora said and climbed into the bathtub.
Rooks Rest
Ser Criston Coles host were on the open field of Rooks Rest as his men prepared for the attack.
"On your feet! To Rook's Rest!" Ser Criston yelled. "To battle!"
"It's broad daylight. We must hold here and ready ourselves to lay siege at nightfall." Gwayne argued.
"We shall move now and strike by day. They will not expect it." Ser Criston pointed out.
"They will not expect it because it is fucking madness." Gwayne pointed out. "Did you forget the little encounter we had on the road to Rosby?"
"I did not." Ser Criston said.
"Dragonstone and their dragons are just across the bay." Gwayne said. "What? Grown tired of living, have you?"
"Are you afraid, Ser?" Ser Criston asked.
"Worse. I'm rational." Gwayne said.
"We advance." Ser Criston sternly said and rode to meet Daemion. "You're still looking up."
"Well a dragon could attack us at any moment. It's best to be prepared." Daemion said.
"When the fighting starts, I want you far from it. Stand by me and follow my lead." Ser Criston ordered.
"You're twenty years too late to be an overprotective parent don't you think?" Daemion asked.
"You can't fault me. Your mother assured me that you weren't mine." Ser Criston pointed out.
"And if she told you the truth, you would've killed me. Can you blame her for lying?" Daemion asked. "The only thing that I find funny is that I can't tell who's more foolish. You or Ser Harwin."
"Does it matter?" Ser Criston asked.
Daemion smirked. "Gwaynes right, you know? You're sending all these men to their deaths."
"It's for a greater cause. They'll die in the name of the true king, Aegon." Ser Criston said.
"Very well. If that is what you believe." Daemion said.
"Just stay at my side when the battle starts." Ser Criston rode off on his horse.
Daemion looked up and smirked.
Dragonstone
Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen arrived on Dragonstone and found her council bickering amongst themselves.
"I see no other choice. We need to send a dragon." Jace said
"Where?" Rhaenyra asked and her council rose at her presence.
Jace cleared his throat. "To support the war
that your vassals have been fighting in your absenceâ¦your grace." Rhaenyra picked up on her sons attitude.
"Coleâs host has grown since riding abroad.
He raised the levies of both Rosby and Stokeworth and, with their combined strength, sacked Duskendale." Rhaenys reported.
"Duskendale?" Ser Steffon asked.
"The city has fallen. Many Darklyn men declared for Aegon. Those who refused were put to the sword." Lord Corlys said.
"What of my father?" Ser Steffon asked.
"He kept his oath. Cole took his head for it." Corlys said and Ser Steffon took a moment to mourn his father.
"Where have you been, these last days?" Jace asked. "You vanished without so much as a word."
"Well, I apologize for my absence and the secrecy, but such was necessary." Rhaenyra said. "I went to Kingâs Landing."
"To what possible end?" Jace asked.
"To meet Queen Alicent and sue for peace, and to try and get Daemion back." Rhaenyra said.
"You saw Alicent?" Jace asked.
"Yes, I did." Rheanyra replied.
"You couldâve been taken or slain!" Jace yelled.
"I inherited 80 years of peace from my father. Before I was to end it, I needed to know that there was no other path. And more importantly, I wanted Daemion back. But now I know only one choice remains to me: either I win my claim or die." Rhaenyra said.
"We stand at the ready." Jace said.
"Coleâs victories have only emboldened him. He marches on Rookâs Rest." Rhaenys said.
"His host was just hours away when Lord Stauntonâs ravens took wing." Corlys said.
"Why Rookâs Rest?" Rhaenyra asked. "After Duskendale? It is but a small coastal keep."
Ser Alfred spoke up. "âCause Lord Staunton is a member of this council. And because his castle is small and vulnerable and there for the taking. Cole knows we have no army on the mainland."
"He is brazen." Bartimos Celtigar interjected.
"He is daring us to act." Ser Alfred said.
"We need to send a dragon." Jace said.
"There are those who have mistaken my caution for weakness." Rhaenyra said. "Let that be their undoing. I will go."
"My queenâ" Corlys protested.
"You cannot." Jace said.
"I will not lose dragons to war whilst I hide here in my castle." Rhaenyra said.
"Our allies raise their banners for you, Mother." Jace pointed out
"Yes, they do." Rhaenyra said.
"If you die, all is lost. Send me." Jace said.
"No." Rhaenyra shook her head.
"I will burn Coleâs lines and withdraw before Kingâs Landing could even raise the alarm." Jace boldy said.
"You lack the experience." Rhaenyra said and this frustrated Jace.
"You must send me, your grace." Rhaenys spoke up. "Meleys is your largest dragon and no stranger to battle. I will meet Cole, and bring Daemion back. The Queen who never was left the council to ready her dragon and fly to battle."
Jace entered his mother's chambers. The young Velaryon prince was frustrated that his mother wouldn't allow him to fight
"I wish only to fight for you. For your claim since Daemion is fighting against us. I-" Jace stopped talking when his mother placed her hand in his cheek.
"There is something I need you to know, Jace. Rhaenyra said. Something that worries me. It involves Daemion. I never told Daemion, but your brother is too smart to be manipulated."
"It involves your succession... doesn't it?" Jace asked.
Rhaenyra nodded. "I never wanted him to know his father because I feared I might lose him. I felt that way since he was born, but your brother assured me that he'd never leave me." Rhaenyra teared up. "And now he has, and I have no choice, but to tell you..."
"Tell me what?" Jace asked.
"A secret that is passed from king to heir. It's called-" Jace interrupted his mother.
"No! You've given up on Daemion?" Jace asked.
"No. I would never, but in the event that I die to save him, I need someone to tell him this story. Who would he trust more than you?" Rhaenyra inquired.
"You're not disinheriting him?" Jace asked.
"No. But in the event that Rhaenys is unsuccessful, I'll retrieve Daemion myself." Rhaenyra said. "Even if it costs me my life."
Jace nodded. "What is this story?"
Rhaenyra smiled. "Aegon the Conquerorâs Dream. He called it âThe Song of Ice and Fire.â"
Rooks Rest
The castle of Rooks Rest were invaded by the green army and Daemion Velaryon watched as many of his mother's supporters died just as he did before on Rosby and Stokeworth.
Even though the young prince wanted to help, he couldn't for would ruin his plans. He only needed to wait a little longer.
"Loose! New rank! Loose! New rank! Loose! New rank!" The men of Rooks Rest yelled as they fired arrows on the opposing side. "Push it!"
"Dragon!" The men of house Darklyn yelled.
"Dragon!" The men of house Rosby yelled.
The army retreated, but Meleys, the dragon of Rhaenys Targaryen breathed fire on the army.
Gwayne rode to Ser Criston. "To the Seven Hells with you, Cole! You may as well have sounded horns to announce our coming!"
"Order the Darklyn levies to break off and move ahead. We must keep the dragonâs attention divided. Make the signal." Criston ordered.
"What signal?" Gwayne asked.
"All is going to plan." Ser Criston said. The knight fired arrows in the air and further away another knight blew his horn.
In the distance Vhagar rose her head and on top of her was Aemond Targaryen. He had taken the word of Daemion Velaryon to force a dragon from the Blacks to show itself, and Vhagar will meet the dragon.
What they didn't plan for was Aegon on his dragon Sunfyre.
Aemond saw Sunfyre fly above. "Mittys! (Idiot) "Umbagon, Vhagar. Siën daor" (Wait, Vhagar. Not yet) Vhagar calmed down.
"Forward, Sunfyre! Faster!" The guards shouted. Dragon!
"Whose dragon is that?" Gwayne asked.
"His hrace, the kingâs." Criston said.
"This was your secret plot, Cole? For the king himself to lay ambush and mayhaps die in the attempt?!" Gwayne furiously asked.
"No! Loose more signal arrows Stalwart men of House Targaryen, your king has joined you! Hold to your courage! Hold to your wits! For the Seven have blessed and shielded this host with divine purpose! For the one true king, Aegon! Advance!" Ser Criston yelled. He saw Daemion move forward. "Not you." Daemion groaned and stayed where he was. "Where are you, Aemond?"
"NÄbÄmagon, Meleys." (Attack Meleys.) Rhaenys commanded her dragon.
Sunfyre flew closer to Meleys.
"Dracarys!" Aegon yelled and Sunfyre breathed fire at Meleys. When the flames cleared Meleys was nowhere to be seen.
Suddenly Sunfyre screeched in pain as Meleys had her mouth on the young dragons wing. The Red Queen then clawed at Sunfyres hide. Sunfyre then fell from the skies.
The young dragon managed to maintain his balance and flew up, but not before burning some soldiers with his hot blood.
Meleys attacked again and started biting on Sunfyres wing again. Sunfyre fought as had has he could, but was no match for Meleys.
Suddenly the ground trembled as Vhagar had finally appeared. She flew up to join the fight between Sunfyre and Meleys.
"Another one there!" A solder yelled
"Send a volley to those Rosby men!" Another soldier yelled. "Give them no quarter!"
"Weâd best get you to cover, my lord." A soldier told lord Staunton, but he refused to leave.
"I told you my plan would work, Daemion." Ser Criston said.
"Indeed. Unfortunately this wasn't your plan since Aemond is doing all the work, but it wasn't his plan either." Daemion smirked.
"What are you talking about?" Ser Criston asked.
"I spoke to Aemond and suggested all of this." Daemion said.
"Why?" Ser Criston asked.
"Because I needed Aemond alone. Isolated from his allies. Because what's about to happen now will change how he sees everything." Daemion said.
"I don't understand." Ser Criston said.
"I'm not on your side. I never was. In truth I'm not sure if I'm on my mother's side, but I know I want revenge." Daemion said.
"And how will you stop us without your dragon?" Ser Criston asked. Even though he was hurt by Daemions words, he wanted to know his sons plans.
Daemion smirked. "You calculated everything, but made one mistake."
"And what is that?" Ser Criston asked.
"Auroth doesn't like to be away from me for too long." Daemion said and suddenly a powerful roar was heard. It was as if thunder reigned from the clouds as Auroth descended.
Meanwhile Aegon who was still fighting saw his younger brother approach with his dragon. "Thank the gods!" He had some hope to win this fight.
Aemond looked at Aegon with hatred. He had insulted him too many times, but the thing that angered him was how he treated Lynora. She was perfect to Aemond, and Aegon spat in her face. No more.
"Dracarys! "Aemond yelled and Vhagar opened her mouth ready to breath fire.
"Ah! No!" Aegon yelled and covered his face. Vhagars flames separated Sunfyre and Meleys, but Sunfyre amd Aegon got most of the flame. The young dragon fell with his rider
Criston saw it all happen. "Your grace!"
Just then Auroth landed behind Ser Criston.
"GÅ«rotan ao bÅsa enough, uÄpa raqiros." (Took you long enough, old friend.) Daemion smirked. He then looked at Ser Criston. "Go on. Save your son, but know that you can only save one. He climbed on Auroth without fastening himself. SÅvegon!" (Fly!) Auroth took flight and started burning everything while Ser rode on his horse to find Aegon.
Meleys and Vhagar were fighting above the army and they both landed on top of the soldiers. Meleys flew away after dealing a blow against Vhagar. Rhaenys looked around and swore she saw Auroth, but lost him her fight against Vhagar. She flew on the castle of Rooks Rest and Vhagar appeared ready to kill Meleys, but the Queen of all Dragons screeched in pain when she felt something pierce into her foot.
"You traitorous bastard!" Aemond yelled when he saw Daemion on his dragon.
Auroth threw Vhagar aside and proceeded to attack her. The fight was bloody as Auroth did not waste any time. He bit deep into Vhagar and she couldn't keep up with Auroths speed. Auroth flew up with Vhagar and when the dragons were high enough Auroth sped down with Vhagar. Daemion smirked and leaped off his dragon, and attacked Aemond. The Velaryon prince punched Aemond repeatedly in the face.
"You call me a traitor as if I was ever on your side." Daemion delivered two more punches and a headbutt. He saw Aemond reach for a dagger and Daemion smacked his uncles ears shut. Aemond cried in pain. Daemion could see that the ground was closer and as soon as he could, he jumped and landed on the ground. The impact of the dragons falling sent soldiers flying. When the dust cleared, Vhagar was weakened with Auroth standing above her. He was about to eat her, but Daemion stopped him. "Daor sir, Auroth." (Not now, Auroth.) Daemion held his arm. It seemed as if his shoulder was dislocated.
Aemond was stuck. His lower body was stuck in his saddle.
"Kill me. You won't get another chance." Aemond said.
"Oh I'll have plenty of chances, uncle. This was but a demonstration of how weak you truly are." Daemion said, and pushed his shoulder back in place. He then crouched down to Aemonds level. "You toyed with my brother. You scared him and when he was at his weakest, you killed him. I can't think of a better revenge than doing the same to you." Daemion looked to his left and saw Meleys killing all the Green soldiers. "This day goes to my mother, and now you know that you're nothing to me or my dragon. Farewell... for now." Daemion mounted Auroth. "MÄzigon uÄpa raqiros. IvestragÄ«'s jiÅragon ao mirros naejot ipradagon." (Come old friend. Let's get you something to eat.)
"Daemion!" Aemond called out, but Daemion had already flown off on his dragon.
On the other side, Ser Criston had found Aegon, but Auroth was already there with Daemion. The Cannibal was feasting on Sunfyre.
"Believe it or not, uncle. It breaks my heart seeing you like this." Daemion said ti a burnt Aegon.
"H... help me." Aegon begged.
"No." Daemion said. "I only want this. Daemion took Blackfyre and Catspaw. You can keep this." The Velaryon prince took Aegons hand and with one swing he removed it wity hisnold sword. Aegon yelled in pain. "I never wanted to kill you but I heard you roughly grabbed Heleana. The least I can do is respond in kind."
"Daemion!" Ser yelled when he finally caught up.
"I used to dream about meeting you." Daemion told Ser Criston. "I told myself that you were dead, or than you abandoned me for someone else. At least the latter is true." He looked at Aegon.
"Stand back, son." Ser Criston unsheathed his sword.
"Don't bluff. I'm the only one that you will never kill. I know that now, but I can never forgive you for killing Ser Harrold." Daemion spat.
"He was an old man and a traitor." Ser Criston argued.
"No. He was my father, and you took him from me. For that you will suffer in ways that would make you beg for death." Daemion walked to Auroth. "IvestragÄ«'s jiÅragon hen hen kesÄ«r. Emi iÄ bÅsa geralbar ahead. se iksan sepÄr getting rhÄdan." (Let's get out of here. We have a long road ahead... and I'm just getting started.)
Rhaenys saw Daemion fly off. She had to report this to Queen Rhaenyra. Not only has Daemion saved her and Rooks Rest, but he fought for his mother as well.
Daemion flew off with a victorious smirk on his face.
