Lone Wolf (h.s au)
My wolf runs, running as far away as I possibly can. Harry is right behind me, chasing after me as I try to think of anything but the bigger target now on my back. I jump across the creak and continue, but my body is flung against a tree.
I whimper, pain felt in my body. Something hits me again and growling occurs, my body shielded by another's.
Shift, Mae, shift, he pleads, my eyes shut tightly as I writhe in pain. My shoulder is so sore and more wolves are heard, a wolf lifting me onto its back.
Sweet dreams, Luna, Dean nags, my body sore as I feel my eyes close once again.
Let me go, I try, but he snorts.
I'm shoved onto the ground and I whimper, knowing I won't shift. I will not give them the satisfaction of shifting.
I feel my body grow cold, my breathing slow. Mae, I hear Harry, my eyes opening.
Harry, I say, his voice heard.
I'm behind you. I see you. Walk to me, he says, my body getting up. I see his piercing green eyes but I shake my head, falling to the ground. My left side hurts.
I shake, beginning to fear what is going to happen when I hear the door open.
"Mae, it's Liam."
I look up and he grabs my leg, helping me walk out. Harry nods and I fall to the ground, shaking from the shock running through my body.
Shift, he whispers, his hand holding my robe. I shift and he quickly covers me, lifting me into his arms and running.
"Hang in there. Stay with me," he says, my eyes squeezing in pain.
He seems distraught at my pain and he stops, scratching his knuckles on the tree.
"I know it's gross but kiss my knuckles. You need it," he pleads, my lips shakily forming around his knuckles. It helps the pain but I'm still shaking.
"I'm taking you home. Sleep," he says, my eyes closing as he runs effortlessly. I'm asleep in minutes.
Angry voices wake me up, an argument involving Harry and someone else arising. I sit up, changing my clothes before I walk down to where the fighting is coming from.
"You don't get to tell me who I mate with!" Harry yells, Zayn on the other side.
"You and your mate need to cut ties because our alliance just became very hard!" Zayn yells.
"No! I'm not telling you to un-mate yourself with Perrie," Harry spits, my body inferior to the loud men in the other room.
"You haven't mated with her. I know because your scents aren't one. Perrie and I have been mates for years," he says, my bare feet cool against the floor.
"It doesn't matter how quickly we mate. Mae is important to me and I will never leave her. Sure, her father is a threat to us but I can't leave. I'm marked and that means we can't leave each other," Harry states, anger laced in his words. He's furious.
"Then why did you risk the safety of you both by going on a date?! Normal wolves don't date!" Zayn yells, my eyebrows frowning.
They don't?
"In case you haven't noticed, neither of us is normal. She's ten times better than me and I wanted to take her out on a date to prove to her I'm a worthy mate. Alpha means shit to her so I had to show her I can be there for her," Harry retaliates, lifting my heart.
"What about the time he took her from you? How was that?" Zayn pushes, a smash heard. I move my body around the corner and see Harry on top of Zayn, pounding his fists into his face.
"Harry," I say, his body not moving at my voice.
I walk over and grab his biceps, tugging his lightly. "Leave the room," I say, pushing him out of the room. I help Zayn up and he walks out of the house quickly, my waist taken in Harry's large hands.
"Why did you stop me?" he asks angrily, my eyes looking up at him.
"I don't like seeing you angry," I say, his eyebrows frowning.
"You have a pretty smile, wolfie."
He softens, always finding the nickname amusing. My body is lifted onto him, my legs wrapping around his waist.
"Are you feeling okay?" he asks, my head nodding. He sets me on the kitchen counter and he stands between my legs, my eyes looking into his.
"Will you let me run for a while?" I ask, his head nodding.
"I'm coming with you," he says, his hands grabbing my bare waist considering I'm in yet another crop top thing.
"Why?" I ask, his head shaking.
"He's after you. It's probably best you don't even run, now that I think about it," he says, my head nodding.
Harry reaches into my hair and pulls my hair out of the bun I had it in.
"I like your hair down," he says, my lips curving.
"Thank you," I smile. He kisses my cheek and I climb off the counter, his feet following after me.
"Mae, I need to give you some pain killers," Isaac says, my head nodding. Harry takes my hand and we walk to Isaac's room, his hand setting a pill in my hand.
"Thanks," I say, Harry leading me into the living room.
He sits and pulls me onto his lap, my body curling into his. "Did you sleep okay?" he asks, my head nodding.
"Although, I do prefer waking up to you rather than hearing you fighting. Don't fight," I whisper, his nose brushing my cheek.
He groans, causing me to laugh. He buries his head in my neck and kisses my skin, my hands grabbing his cheeks as I continue laughing.
"I love this mark on you," he says, kissing his little teeth marks from when he claimed me.
"And this one," he says, kissing the back of my neck on the paw-print. I smile and he meets my forehead with his, his lips parting as he swipes his tongue along his lower lip.
"Why did you even beat him up?" I ask, his lips releasing a sigh.
"He was saying how I should let you go because you're a 'burden' to the packs. No way in hell was I going to let that shit slide so I beat him up. We have high pain tolerance so his face will be fine," he says, my hand pulling his back.
"Am I, you know, a burden?" I ask, not wanting to wreak havoc upon the packs.
"No. Fuck, don't think that way," he sighs, pulling my waist closer.
"Think about it Harry. I've gotten hurt from these people and this pack has had to help me so many times. I'm causing a lot of trouble," I say, his fingers pressing to my lips.
"You're a Luna. My Luna. They've welcomed me into their pack and are allowing me to lead. They will take care of you just as I do, but I will always be there for you. You're my soulmate," he whispers, eyes bright and serious as he talks. His fingers cup my chin and he sets a gentle kiss to my upper lip, my hands setting on his chest.
"I like it when you say that," I mumble against his lips.
"What's that?" he asks, our lips touching as we talk.
"Soulmate," I blush, his lips pressing to the corner of my mouth.
He snickers lightly, shifting me so I'm straddling his legs. Our lips continue to press small kisses to each other's, his hands on the small of my back.
"My soulmate," he mumbles, my lips curving as I muffle a laugh through my smile.
"My beautiful soulmate," he continues, causing my cheeks to flush a deep pink.
"You're always so shy when I compliment you," Harry kisses my lips, my hands on his shoulders.
"I rarely get complimented from you, wolfie," I smile, his eyes looking at me.
He travels his hands to mine and he kisses my cheek. "Because I'm not very good at saying my feelings," he says, my eyes closing as he kisses me.
"You're doing just fine," I grin, kissing him again.
I climb off of him and he groans, reaching out for me again. I grab his hand and pull him up, turning to walk to the kitchen. My eyes widen when I see someone outside pointing a gun at the window. My body is shoved down to the ground, shots firing at the window and the glass shattering around us.
Harry presses my head into his chest, shielding my entire body from the shots firing at the house. My body is trembling, fearing something will hurt us.
"Get the fuck out here and hand her over!" the man yells, Harry not moving. Tears threaten to spill from my eyes, Harry not moving.
People run outside and attack the man, Harry lifting me into his arms. He runs me upstairs and kisses me before running outside.
I watch from the window, Harry ruthlessly pounding his fist into the man who had pointed a gun at me. More men come and Harry shifts, the packs fighting.
I lay back on the bed and curl up, falling asleep as I cry in fear.
