Chapter 7

When I woke up I decided to start and get ready for the day ahead.

After I took a shower I decided to go with the outfit I planned the night before.

I put on a plain olive green shirt with black jeans and a black bag along with my sneakers to finish the whole outift.

I decided to let my hair be today and applied a bit of make-up.

I looked around my room to check if I left anything (which usually happens) and I remebered to get my black shades.

I quickly grabbed it from the nearby table and made my way to Maddie's room.

Before I get to knock the door opens and Maddie appears wearing a yellow shirt with black jeans and flats along with her bag.

"Are you ready?" I ask as she nods.

"Yeah, and you?" She asks as she exits her room and closes the door.

"Ready as well" I say as she nods.

"Lets tell Sophia we are leaving already" she says and I nod as we head to Sophia's room.

Maddie knocks and we wait for Sophia to answer or open the door.

After a few more knocks on the door she finally opens the door in her pajamas.

"We will be going already" I say as she blinks a few times at us.

"Where are you guys going and what time is it?" She asks as she stretches.

"We're going to the palace and it's already 10 in the morning" Maddie says

"Oh my God! I have to get ready!" Before we can reply she stops and speaks "Wait how are you getting there again?"

"You told us to take the car because your friend will be picking you up later" I explain

"Oh yeah, okay, see you later" she says as she immmediately closes the door on our faces.

We walk away from her room and entered the elevator which consisted of only Maddie and I.

"Want to drive?" I ask her as the elevator doors close.

"Nah, I don't feel like driving today" she says as she looks at her phone.

"Okay but for the record you always don't feel like driving" I say

Before she gets to reply any further the elevator doors open and we make our way to the hotel parking lot where the car is parked. Once we entered the car I started to drive to the palace.

Since the day we arrived in Othillia we were directed to take some sort of back exit so tourists and other people especially papparazzi don't see us enter and exit the palace.

We made it to the gate and one of the security guards stopped us for checking.

I roll down my window in order to speak to the person.

"Name?" He asks while holding a clipbord on one hand and a pen on the other.

"Amelia Peterson and Madeline Martinez" I say as he looks over the list.

"Ah yes! Their Majesties and His Royal Highness are expecting you both, we will inform them right away of both your presence" and with that the gates open and we enter.

When we park the car we are approached by two men, one I recognize as the one who called for Alex when we were in the garden.

"Ms. Peterson, Ms. Martinez, I am Liam and this is David. I will be escorting Ms. Martinez to His Majesty while David will escort Ms. Peterson to His Royal Highness"

We both nod and make our way inside and that is when we go our seperate ways.

Soon we arrived in front of a double door. David knocks then opens the door and we both enter.

"Your Royal Highness, Ms. Peterson has arrived" David says as Alex nods and thanks him from his seat before David leaves and closes the door.

Alex stands up and hugs me then kisses me on the lips before speaking.

"Hey, how was interrogation last night?" he asks as I laugh.

"It wasn't that long thankfully" I say as we move towards the couch and we take a seat as I examine the whole room.

There is a couch and a coffee table in front of a fireplace near the door and there are a few pictures of him and his parents on the mantle of the fireplace.

At the other side of the room is a desk and his chair with two other chairs as well at the other side and behind the desk is shelves filled with all sorts of books.

There is also a huge window at the side that shows the kingdom. Near the window by the corner is a round table and a few chairs.

"I was hoping you could help me out with something" Alex says

"With what?" I ask as I look at him.

"Help me prepare for the ball" he says

"Well what do we have to do?" I ask

"Choose a few other things, I've already done some but I still have some more to do" he says

"Alright, but I can't guarantee I'll do so well. I've never planned anything aside from sleepovers" I say with a smile and he smiles back at me.

"I know you will do well, Let's go" he says as we get up and I leave my bag by the couch and head towards his desk. he sits on his chair and I sit on one of the chairs by his desk across from him.

Alex hands me a folder that says 'table cloth' with different samples of cloth I look at him questioningly.

"Choose whatever you like" he says as he notices my confusion as I continue to stare at the folder on my hand.

"Why me?" I ask as I look up at him.

"Because you agreed to help me plan for the ball" he says as he opens a different folder from his desk.

I start to look at the many options. While Alex does other things. After a few minutes I find one that catches my eyes.

"What about this one?" I point to the one I chose as he looks at it as well.

"Perfect" he says with a smile.

He writes down the type of cloth chosen and hands me another folder this time it has pictures of different plates.

This goes on for some time with all sorts of things. We don't notice the time until someone knocks and we both look up from our work and turn our gaze to the door to see who it is.

"Your Royal Highness, Ms. Peterson, Their Majesties are waiting for you both in the dining hall along with Ms. Martinez" David says

"Thank you David, We will be there shortly" Alex says and David nods before he leaves and Alex stands up and walks towards me.

"Shall we?" He asks offering me his hand as I nod and I take his hand and we walk out of his office.

We make our way to the dining hall and when we get in we see Edward, Victoria and Maddie looking at us. We head to the table and Alex pulls out my seat and I thank him as he takes his seat beside me.

Seating Arrangement:

Edward at the end of the table on his right is Victoria and beside Victoria is Maddie at Edward's left side is Alex and beside Alex is Amelia.

"Amelia it is so good to see you" Victoria says "Is Alex treating you well?" She asks as Alex sits beside me.

"Mother" Alexander says in a warning tone as he eyes his mother.

"I am just asking a question Alex calm down" with a warm smile on her face completely teasing Alex as he slightly glares at her.

"So Amelia has he?" She asks as she looks back at me and ignores Alex.

"He hasn't, he stole a bit of my cake yesterday during our dinner" I say playing along with Victoria while smirking at Alex.

"I recall you also doing the same" he says as he looks back at me.

"Well you took from mine first, I had to get even somehow" I say

"Alex I believe Amelia did the right thing" Victoria says as I smirk at him.

"Oh come on, you've got to be kidding me, father mind helping me out?" he asks while looking at Edward who continues to eat peacefully.

"Much as I would, I learned a long time ago to never mess with a woman and her food" he says before he continues to eat.

We laugh at his comment and we stay silent for a few seconds after until Maddie speaks.

"Alex I have a piece of advice for you, never mess with Amelia when it gets to food" she says

"Hey!" I say as I look at her.

"There was a time I ended up getting a bruise on my arm because you had to hit me just so you could get the Chocolate donut instead of the Strawberry one that Sophia bought for us during one of our sleepovers"

We all burst out laughing. The rest of lunch was filled with talks and laughter. Until we finished our meals and had to go back and continue our work.
